So rumour mill getting into full swing with various reports, not sure how much truth is in these just what I've read so don't shoot the messenger!
Tagliafico ajax left back reports we have agreed a fee
Vlasic deal maybe complete tommorow
Lingard who knows reports that he will stay at man u
Laborde montpellier striker reported interest in him
Hlozek this one has been around for a while but nothing seems to have happened with him
Loads of rumours not sure on any, thought I'd update what I've read though will be a fun day tommorow seeing what happens though.
28 Feb 2017 16:22:21
So Sky reporting 10 million bid for st. ettiene RB kevin malcuit in summer.
1.) 28 Feb 2017 18:54:32
Let's hope we have this in the bag already and tied up.
2.) 28 Feb 2017 20:10:02
Read that man united are keeping tabs on him.
3.) 28 Feb 2017 20:32:35
Oh well that's that then : ( lol.
4.) 01 Mar 2017 10:18:53
he's played against utd and impressed so we will see.
05 Jan 2017 17:06:45
Dunno if its true but all over social media we've made a 20 million bid for dembele.
1.) 05 Jan 2017 17:18:30
I have seen that aswell it said 20 mill bid for a player based in Scotland dembele would be my choice over Defoe and hogan, also just seen fonte wants out of Southampton he would be a great signing.
2.) 05 Jan 2017 17:53:02
I would imagine fonte wants out for a bigger club Paul butility your right he'd be an excellent signing to play alongside reid.
3.) 05 Jan 2017 17:53:02
I would imagine fonte wants out for a bigger club Paul butility your right he'd be an excellent signing to play alongside reid.
4.) 05 Jan 2017 18:06:02
Yeah he probably does and if we did go for him we'd only offer half of southamptons valuation.
5.) 05 Jan 2017 18:25:04
Says he wanted to be highest paid member of the club fobte and wasnt happy about it . wouldn't bother with players like that.
6.) 05 Jan 2017 18:53:53
Didnt know that.
7.) 05 Jan 2017 20:50:09
What bothers me most about Dembele is; why pay £20 million now when we could have signed him for a £500k Bosman in July? Granted he's scored 19 times this season but let's be honest, only 3 of those goals are against what you'd call quality opposition - The rest are against the likes of Ross County and FC Astana. £20 mill's a huge punt on a Fulham cast off imo.
8.) 05 Jan 2017 21:03:47
I doubt we would get him anyway celtic I think would want more than that and that's if we have actually put a bid in.
9.) 05 Jan 2017 22:07:21
Hey Billy, what are you talking about? Celtic got Dembele for 500k because of the cross border rule! An English club would have paid millions for him. Tottenham tried to get him for £6 million in Jan to save a tribunal. Moussa Dembele is going to be a world beater! He's already done more than Martial, and Deschamps has said he'll be in his next squad in March. He got around 40 caps playing at every level for France. To even mention him in the same breath as Hogan is an embarrassment. He's 20, and doesn't really have a weakness - he's super strong, super fast, he's 2 footed and good in the air. Look at the 5 goals he scored against Rangers, every one is brilliant. He's got 4 in the Champions league, which is a better record than any player his age in his first season since the competition started. He'll never end up at West Ham - Mourinho has been watching him since his Chelsea days, Pochettino obviously rates him, Wenger is keeping an eye on him. Liverpool have already told Celtic they want kept abreast of the situation! On top of all that he qualifies as a home grown player. Zidane said recently he's one of the best young players in Europe! Look some of our players have been stolen over the last few years, Wanyama, Forster and Van Dijk were all worth more, so it's not happening again. You've got characters down there moving for fortunes, Ross McCormack for £12 million - he's nearly 30. Villa also bought a lad from Bristol City for about £15 million and he's rotten. Your problem is the players down there aren't as good as you think they are - talk about delusions of grandeur! Celtic would beat West Ham if we played you tomorrow! We've just drawn 4-4 with Man City over 2 games and could have won both! I like West Ham, - we have you Frank McAvennie, you gave us Stuart Slater in return right enough, which wasn't cool. You also got Di Canio off us! You need educated mate if you don't fancy Dembele! Another rumour is Real Madrid want him because Zidane loves him, and he'll stay on loan at Celtic.
10.) 05 Jan 2017 22:41:14
Another thing Billy - you're raving away about us only beating Ross County and Astana well before you start shouting your mouth off check the facts. I can't remember the last time we lost to an English team. We've a great record, even going back to us beating a world class Leeds team in the semi final of the European Cup in 1970.
Under Martin O'Neill we knocked out Blackburn and Liverpool on the way to the UEFA Cup Final. We beat Manchester United in the Champions League about 7 years ago and just drew with City. You need to sort yourself out so you do. Are you a Sevco fan? If so, I know you must be hurting, still it's only going to get worse! 10 in a row is already a given! Celtic have never been stronger!
The average age of our team is 23 and with Brendan Rodgers we have a manager who properly know the transfer market! Bolasie £28 million. Stones £50 million. Alonso at Chelsea for over £20 million - Celtic knocked him back when he was on a free transfer at Bolton. I could go on and on, it's truly bizarre!
11.) 05 Jan 2017 22:51:47
We got dicanio from Sheffield weds and only cause he shoved the ref over.
{Ed025's Note - now that was funny.. :)
12.) 05 Jan 2017 23:17:34
Yeh was the most theatrical dive ever lol.
13.) 05 Jan 2017 23:23:41
Well via Celtic, and I think he done alright for you. If you only got him because of the push well it says more about West Ham's standing than anything else!
14.) 05 Jan 2017 23:59:08
Anyway I wish West Ham all the best for the season, the fact you're struggling is more down to circumstances. The lad from Swansea getting injured in the first few weeks, Payet still coming down from playing with France and moving from Upton Park etc etc. Celtic have a standing area now and it's incredible, I heard your chairman was enquiring about it/ spoke to us, - it would make a big difference to that new stadium you've been landed with. I just want a fair price for Dembele because I think he's a better prospect than Van Dijk was. Cheers
15.) 06 Jan 2017 00:16:45
Oh sorry I forgot if a player plays some games for a club they own him forever, by the way we got frank mcavennie from St. Mirren celtic bought him from us I've got nothing against celtic at all by the way and total agree it's a big club but you don't exactly attract big names anymore
16.) 06 Jan 2017 00:34:25
I think you'll get a good price for dembele to be honest I don't think he will go this window if I was celtic i'd wait until summer, still you will win the league this year and Griffiths is a decent replacement anyway Good Luck to ya this year aswell
17.) 06 Jan 2017 09:08:48
haha Delphic calm down mate you'll give yourself a stroke
18.) 06 Jan 2017 09:46:24
Delphic. Much of your post makes good sense mate. I liked it. However, just to correct you, we got di Canio when he was snubbed by Sheffield wednesday after his famous referee push incident and nobody wanted to take a chance with him. Also, Di Canio has a West Ham tattoo, not a Celtic tattoo, Speaks volumes mate.
On a different note, you 4-4 aggregate score against Man City was indeed a good result, however, last season we beat them twice and I expect to beat them tonight.
However, results do not make a club bigger or better thank nan other - it's fans do!
I rate Dembele highly and think £20 Mill is a lot of money for the player, however, when I compare Dembele with Zaza who I believe we were going to buy for £25 Mill at the end of the season, he appears to be fairly valued. COYI
23 Sep 2016 01:10:36
So the west ham legends sticker book has come out and jermaine defoe is in it but Martin Peters and Billy bonds aren't doh! Tomas repka a legend? David James?
Thought our owners were supporters?
Everything they do pr wise is a joke.
1.) 25 Sep 2016 15:36:57
noble and norveilt starting again fegouli and fernandes on the bench what the hell's going on.
2.) 25 Sep 2016 17:39:10
Yep and they got in behind nordvedt for first goal. Shocking, too slow too many sideways passes and cbs are all over the place we are doomed.
08 Aug 2016 11:39:28
masuaka confirmed ayew next coyi.
1.) 08 Aug 2016 12:04:45
Just watched a video of him he looks excellent got some quick feet fast and very skilful and can put a hard tackle in always seems to be in the right place.
2.) 08 Aug 2016 12:09:55
Great signing at a good price, completed nice and quickly too!
Potential great link up with Payet and a natural LB from a winning background at olympiakos.
Good work.
3.) 08 Aug 2016 12:14:57
any truth in the rumour we are after martin oodegard on loan from real madrid ed?
{Ed002's Note - Having had some time to demonstrate his immaturity in Madrid, Martin Odegaard needs to get out on loan and get some game time for a while (two years). Getafe were offering that but he wasn't interested. Bayern Munich were providing the offer of a more permanent solution for him but Carlo Ancelotti would not have had him in the first team and the club would not have come close to his wage demands. The player has been offered to several clubs but the deal is that he has to play - and he is 17 so I cannot see anyone in the Premier League willing to agree to do that. I suspect Hamburg or Borussia Mönchengladbach might provide a more sensible solution but they certainly won't commit to paying what he earns at Real Madrid for the next two years.}
4.) 08 Aug 2016 12:18:11
Excellent player, finger licking good!
5.) 08 Aug 2016 12:19:08
Well I told you King Arthur will be a good asset. He is very similar in Style to cresswell. , I think the fans will be very happy with him, IRONMIKE.
6.) 08 Aug 2016 12:32:39
thanks Ed!

So they made Bowen captain so won't sell, they can't shift any of the players they wanted to paquetta, ings, aguerd, zouma etc so how are they financing this spending spree and still complying with psr? I can only see one way which is kudos going to Liverpool to be honest
1.) 15 Aug 2024 16:46:51
I am not totally certain, but I believe the reason we are still compliant with Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) because the rules relate to club finances regarding player purchases and sales over the course of a financial year, whereas Financial Fair Play (FFP) relates to clubs' overall finances over five years.
Being compliant with PSR is easier, because West Ham can use a spread the cost of a players transfer fee over the length of their contract when (up to a maximum of five years) and this means a £40 million transfer, even if it is all paid for up front, will still only "Cost" £8 million in that financial year.
So whilst West Ham have signed eight players this summer and spent a lot of money.
GK - Wes Foderingham - Free signing - No amortisation cost
CB - Max Kilman - 7 year contract - £40 million signing - amortised over the maximum five years at a cost of £8 mil per year
CB - Jean-Clair Todibo - Loan Signing - No amortisation cost unless the loan is made permanent next summer, but the amortisation will begin in the next set of annual accounts
RB - Aaron Wan-Bissaka - 7 year contract - £15 million signing - amortised over the maximum five years at a cost of £3 mil per year
CM - Guido Rodriguez - Free signing - No amortisation cost
W - Luis Guilherme - 5 year contract - £19.5 million signing - amortised over the maximum five years at a cost of £3.9 mil per year
W - Crysencio Summerville - 5 year contract - £26 million signing - amortised over the maximum five years at a cost of £5.2 mil per year
F - Niclas Fullkrug - 4 year contract - £22 million signing - amortised over four years at a cost of £5.5 mil per year
This means in this years accounts, for the purpose of PSR we have only "spent" £25.6m in amortisation for this summer’s signings.
The thing to remember though is FFP does not work like that, which is why this kind of transfer spend can't really happen every Summer. Not without significant sales.
2.) 15 Aug 2024 17:00:08
I forgot to mention, the amortisation is completely different to the agreed payment terms of the transfer fee. We could pay 50% up front of a £50 million transfer fee, and then 25% over the next two years, but the amortisation would remain £10 million per year assuming that player signs on a five or more year contract.
PSR has been in place for a while, but the maximum number of years a players transfer fee could be amortised across changed to five years in December 2023 because it was called in to question when Chelsea spent huge sums on transfers, offering 8 year contracts to players like Mudryk during the 2022/23 season.
3.) 15 Aug 2024 17:27:52
Thanks for the work you put in there, DIE-4. That’s really helpful.
4.) 15 Aug 2024 18:24:29
Die_4, Wow that’s some impressive post??⚒⚒⚒⚒
5.) 15 Aug 2024 19:15:56
Hi all, The current Premier League FFP threshold for clubs is a maximum loss of £105m over a three-year rolling period.
6.) 15 Aug 2024 19:17:39
Profit and sustainability laws are: Make 'allowable' losses of up to £5m/season (averaged over three seasons)
Increase that figure to £35m/year with owner investment (averaged over three seasons)
Spread out any transfer costs over a maximum of five years.
29 Jan 2019 22:39:04
It's a good job we rested key players in the cup so we didn't get embarrassed tonight and concentrated on the league.
10 Nov 2016 11:31:13
For anyone expecting anyone decent coming in january our last 5 January transfer windows look like this
2016
Emenike loan
Byram perm
2015

1.) 10 Nov 2016 11:42:50
2014
Borriellio Loan
Nocerino Loan
Armero Loan
Johnson Loan
2013
Pogetetz nominal fee
Joe Cole free
Chamakh Loan
Paulista Loan
2012
In Championship.
2.) 10 Nov 2016 12:28:39
theres a lot of people that could sign pre contracts for freebees for the summer though,
Santi Cazorla, Branislav Ivanovic, Andrew Robertson, Gael Clichy, zabaleta loads of others that's just premier league all other leagues too people like,
paul George ntep, Konoplyanka, witsel, willem, ribery and robben, ghezzal, Moussa Konaté the list goes on so there is potential for a few decent ones.
3.) 10 Nov 2016 13:02:55
Can you honestly see the likes of robben cazorla or Ribery signing for us?
Ivanovic best days are way behind him and we have 2 decent Lbs
Looks like there's loads on the face of it but take away what we don't need and who would actually join and that list is a lot shorter.
4.) 10 Nov 2016 14:37:16
NOPE! Guess we like a loan deal then? I think we would be stoopid if we still have AC, ZAZA and Calleri in January. Time for a clear out of forwards and time for us to stop buying youngsters for the future and get players who can fit in NOW!
5.) 11 Nov 2016 09:49:40
paul George ntep, Konoplyanka, Andrew Robertson, ghezzal, Moussa Konaté are all massive possibilities lists not that short only becomes short because a lot of them are all older and we wouldn't want a player who wants a last big pay day. I wouldn't be surprised if DGS sell up or sell a big % before next season starts anyway to be honest. fair enough cazorla and robben ect but it just goes to show who are available considering we are allways out to get a freebee (apart from sign on fees)
6.) 12 Nov 2016 08:28:42
We were after moussa konate previously should have hot him then.
7.) 14 nov 2016 12:59:55
i would try and get schniederlin and origi from liverpool both getting no game time and would be in our first team and fernandes must be used further forward he ain't no wing back. coyi.
8.) 14 Nov 2016 21:41:23
I like origi but don't think they would sell and not anywhere bear the 10 mill they bourght him for.
20 Aug 2016 23:27:25
seems carroll injured to now, joke something wrong there.
26 Jul 2016 23:45:17
is that true about tony Carr being let go and only given 14 grand redundancy money?
19 Aug 2024 11:41:51
Unfortunately it doesn't really matter whether we want to keep them or not we have been trying to shift players all summer but due to ridiculous contracts no one wants them
13 Aug 2024 07:30:33
2 strikers and bowen can play there even summerville at a push is more than enough for a non European season
09 Aug 2024 09:06:08
The problem is where have we suddenly got all these funds from?
Does this mean we will look to sell one of out stars to balance the books ie Kudos or Bowen?
14 Jul 2024 18:15:17
We will probably see a bit more movement once the euros are over, we were never going to replace/upgrade all we needed to in one window, most of what we are linked with by ITK or West ham source blah blah is pure fantasy, couple that with sections of out support believing we should be competing in the transfer market with Real Madrid then it doesn't matter what steiden and loppy do it will be a failure, we obviously will sign a couple more this window bur what we don't want to do is sign players just for the sake of it ie Ings that were never going to fit into the moyes system
05 Jul 2024 20:56:53
Their record transfer is only 15 million unless we want any of there players I doubt very much they could afford him, probably just trying to get him on the cheap because of the betting business and potential ban
16 Aug 2024 15:47:32
They sign him loan him and then sell for profit at end of the year which will help with psr simple. He won't kick a ball for them
16 Aug 2024 14:47:26
That's exactly what I was saying yesterday could see it coming
16 Aug 2024 14:46:31
Unfortunately Die4 you've left signing on fees and agent fees from your calculations
01 Aug 2024 22:24:01
We've being trying to flog aguerd all summer but no one wants to pay what we want and no one wants zouma so I'm guessing we won't sell them
31 Jul 2024 11:07:13
Our transfer strategy is Steidman finds the players negotiates the deal the sullivan pulls the plug I think that sums it up
