Really disappointing, story of the season. It takes us to go a goal or 2 down before we react. Terrible at the back, relegation looks certain now, but take 2 or 3 players out and most of them don't look like they care anyway.
This is going to be a long way back and eont be easy. Finances were apparently a problem anyway so it's not like a ton of cash will be available now. Time for the young uns to step up next year.
1.) 17 May 2026 22:28:49
Man Utd fan here, in peace. I am saddened by your club's situation. You have always been known for producing good players and attractive football.
Your owners have sold you down the river. There is no clear strategy, and there has been poor recruitment. In many ways, it's like Man Utd. The difference probably only being that we have the financial resources and history to attract good players.
All that said, like at Man Utd, ultimately the players on the pitch need to do the business.
When you played us at your place, I was there, and your team was up for it and fought for every ball. If they had played like that in these past three matches, you would have survived.
If you do go down, you will likely lose your best players, but I hope it means you blood some of your youngsters and buy players who play for the shirt. It may also be the catalyst you need to get proper owners in.
Good luck.
2.) 17 May 2026 22:48:29
Let's be honest, it was ridiculous to start a back 3 today, and midfield was appalling. Wilson is an impact player at best, whereas Taty works his socks off up front. All Nuno's fault for that defeat today; set up negative, and only when Taty got on did we look capable of doing something.
Still not over, but can I really see us beating Leeds next week? Players have to want to fight, and I don't think we have 11 of those in the team.
3.) 18 May 2026 08:59:09
Thank you for the comments, Man U. They were absolutely bob on. Hopefully this is the beginning of the end for Sullivan.
Bobby, totally agree, just my opinion, but only Mavrapanos, Disasi and Taty tried yesterday (and Pablo has limitations but has worked hard since his arrival).
The rest of them looked like they didn't care. I'm sure Bowen does, but he has not been right for a few months now and looks like his mind isn't on it...
4.) 18 May 2026 09:47:37
Can't argue with any of these comments. Thanks for the words of encouragement Clyde Best you are right we have been sold down the river by our board. Sully has to go and also Kretinsky as he has just stood by and watched this happen when he could at least stepped in to lend the club some money for a few more attacking players in the summer or January windows. Until these blood-suckers go I think our demise will continue.
I think if ever a game could encapsulate a manger's overall faults then yesterday was it. All the things that many on here have accused Nuno of came to the front. Setting the team up too defensively when we need to attack. As Bobby said playing 3 at the back was a disaster and not only that but changing the back 3s normal positions in that system.
Thinking he can perform some sort of master stroke by doing this. A reminder of Scarles playing as a right back and the Souchek / Irving experiment. As Robbo says we have to start playing once the damage is done. He has done a few decent things like sorting out our defence and midfield but that is a bit of a waste of time as most if not all of those players will now leave.
All I can say is the the people who have been critical of Nuno were spot on and I was sadly deluded. He needs to go at the end of the season even if a miracle happens and we stay up.
Save the new manager hopes for another time as we need new buyers and they need to be a decent outfit who are professional and don't use the club as a personal cash cow.
5.) 18 May 2026 11:12:02
Morning HD, hope you're well, mate. I've been very mixed in my opinion of Nuno, incredibly underwhelmed when he was appointed, underwhelmed in his first few months, and then pleasantly surprised when he appointed Paco, as between them they turned it round. I think yesterday he got it badly wrong, playing a system that worked against City and, to a lesser degree, against Brighton and Arsenal, in a match when attack needed to take precedent. I think he bottled it, and the pressure, coupled with some players who could care less (Todibo, prime example, smirking as he was replaced after only 25 minutes), has hurt us when we needed clarity and unity.
Big summer of wholesale changes, from top to bottom, clearing out deadwood. I will miss Bowen, who is and will always be a WH legend, and Fernandes, who has been a breath of fresh air, particularly in the 2nd half of the season. But as for the rest, players come and go, and those who don't value playing for the shirt, do one!
6.) 18 May 2026 15:17:00
Hey, Dabber, I'm not too bad, thanks, mate. Hope you are well. Very much similar sentiments from me too. I really hope Sullivan and the rest of his family sell the club and don't come near us again, as long as he doesn't sell to Carson Yeong or someone of that ilk. A complete reset of everything to do with West Ham is needed. I think, before yesterday's game, I would have preferred Nuno to leave at season's end, but after yesterday, I just want him to go.
As we have said before, it would be interesting if Paco would be interested in going it alone. I wouldn't mind seeing what he can do. There will be a few names thrown in the hat, but I personally don't want to see the likes of Dyche or Scott Parker (great player) anywhere near us. But with Sulivan choosing, that is more than likely who we will end up with. It's all a bit depressing. ☹️
7.) 18 May 2026 15:19:31
PS I would add Mavropanos, Disasi, and Summerville to your list of players we will miss.
8.) 18 May 2026 20:36:14
Evening mate, I think Mav has been great recently, but he was very nervous yesterday and set the tone a little bit. Disasi has been great, and I'd love him to stay. He threw himself around again yesterday, but he's playing for his future away from us.
Summerville, I've loved watching, but he's hit and miss with his end product. I actually think Taty (if he stays) and Pablo might have a field day in the Championship.
9.) 18 May 2026 20:54:18
I honestly believe that Spurs will struggle to get another point. I just do not see us winning in the last couple of games. I agree that Pablo and Taty have performed and put up a fight, but I do not see much in the rest of the team.
I would like to see Kante given 90 minutes, along with Potts, as we all like to see workrate. Let's hope Chelski do us a favour, and then the players can turn up on Sunday to give us a fighting chance. COYI.
10.) 18 May 2026 22:14:16
I hope you are right, Bobby, but just can't see them losing the next 2. I think, regardless of relegation or not, the result yesterday has strengthened everyone's resolve to have a complete reset, and that has to start at the top.
09 Jul 2025 17:22:26
According to SSN spurs have agreed a 55 mil deal for kudos we have completely had our pants pulled down what a joke club we really are he has a 85 mil release clause I knew we'd get done over by levy, sullivan and Brady are a joke
1.) 09 Jul 2025 18:00:54
Not quite, Sullivan would rather sell cheap than put money into the club, silly tactics, apparently Brady pushed the deal, over Potters anxiety
2.) 09 Jul 2025 18:12:00
Medical tomorrow. See how fast that was once price agreed. Something West Ham board lack aswell as a bit of integrity and respect
3.) 09 Jul 2025 18:35:06
He'll be double that in a year or 2 when he bangs in 15-20 goals.
4.) 09 Jul 2025 18:48:02
Do you mean Potter didn’t want to sell him Joyful?
If so then I have to make him right. The way Tottenham have dealt with us over the years they should have held out for close to the buy out clause. Maybe be a little more relaxed with other clubs.
I think this is a disaster just hope Summerville can step up to the plate
5.) 09 Jul 2025 20:08:45
No you misunderstand, Potter was sold a certain situation, which WH didn’t stick to, Potter knew the end of players contracts, knew the three targeted players to leave as well, but he understood he could get on with limited transfer business, from the start of the transfer windows, then WH changed it to sell to buy, leaving fans frustrated, and Potter very anxious, as weeks ticked by, so now Potter can get on with it, with five weeks Togo, it looks clear, that the squad is going to shrink, now let’s see how the rest of it plays out
6.) 09 Jul 2025 20:30:41
Cheers that makes it clearer ?
30 Aug 2021 19:49:29
So rumour mill getting into full swing with various reports, not sure how much truth is in these just what I've read so don't shoot the messenger!
Tagliafico ajax left back reports we have agreed a fee
Vlasic deal maybe complete tommorow
Lingard who knows reports that he will stay at man u
Laborde montpellier striker reported interest in him
Hlozek this one has been around for a while but nothing seems to have happened with him
Loads of rumours not sure on any, thought I'd update what I've read though will be a fun day tommorow seeing what happens though.
28 Feb 2017 16:22:21
So Sky reporting 10 million bid for st. ettiene RB kevin malcuit in summer.
1.) 28 Feb 2017 18:54:32
Let's hope we have this in the bag already and tied up.
2.) 28 Feb 2017 20:10:02
Read that man united are keeping tabs on him.
3.) 28 Feb 2017 20:32:35
Oh well that's that then : ( lol.
4.) 01 Mar 2017 10:18:53
he's played against utd and impressed so we will see.
05 Jan 2017 17:06:45
Dunno if its true but all over social media we've made a 20 million bid for dembele.
1.) 05 Jan 2017 17:18:30
I have seen that aswell it said 20 mill bid for a player based in Scotland dembele would be my choice over Defoe and hogan, also just seen fonte wants out of Southampton he would be a great signing.
2.) 05 Jan 2017 17:53:02
I would imagine fonte wants out for a bigger club Paul butility your right he'd be an excellent signing to play alongside reid.
3.) 05 Jan 2017 17:53:02
I would imagine fonte wants out for a bigger club Paul butility your right he'd be an excellent signing to play alongside reid.
4.) 05 Jan 2017 18:06:02
Yeah he probably does and if we did go for him we'd only offer half of southamptons valuation.
5.) 05 Jan 2017 18:25:04
Says he wanted to be highest paid member of the club fobte and wasnt happy about it . wouldn't bother with players like that.
6.) 05 Jan 2017 18:53:53
Didnt know that.
7.) 05 Jan 2017 20:50:09
What bothers me most about Dembele is; why pay £20 million now when we could have signed him for a £500k Bosman in July? Granted he's scored 19 times this season but let's be honest, only 3 of those goals are against what you'd call quality opposition - The rest are against the likes of Ross County and FC Astana. £20 mill's a huge punt on a Fulham cast off imo.
8.) 05 Jan 2017 21:03:47
I doubt we would get him anyway celtic I think would want more than that and that's if we have actually put a bid in.
9.) 05 Jan 2017 22:07:21
Hey Billy, what are you talking about? Celtic got Dembele for 500k because of the cross border rule! An English club would have paid millions for him. Tottenham tried to get him for £6 million in Jan to save a tribunal. Moussa Dembele is going to be a world beater! He's already done more than Martial, and Deschamps has said he'll be in his next squad in March. He got around 40 caps playing at every level for France. To even mention him in the same breath as Hogan is an embarrassment. He's 20, and doesn't really have a weakness - he's super strong, super fast, he's 2 footed and good in the air. Look at the 5 goals he scored against Rangers, every one is brilliant. He's got 4 in the Champions league, which is a better record than any player his age in his first season since the competition started. He'll never end up at West Ham - Mourinho has been watching him since his Chelsea days, Pochettino obviously rates him, Wenger is keeping an eye on him. Liverpool have already told Celtic they want kept abreast of the situation! On top of all that he qualifies as a home grown player. Zidane said recently he's one of the best young players in Europe! Look some of our players have been stolen over the last few years, Wanyama, Forster and Van Dijk were all worth more, so it's not happening again. You've got characters down there moving for fortunes, Ross McCormack for £12 million - he's nearly 30. Villa also bought a lad from Bristol City for about £15 million and he's rotten. Your problem is the players down there aren't as good as you think they are - talk about delusions of grandeur! Celtic would beat West Ham if we played you tomorrow! We've just drawn 4-4 with Man City over 2 games and could have won both! I like West Ham, - we have you Frank McAvennie, you gave us Stuart Slater in return right enough, which wasn't cool. You also got Di Canio off us! You need educated mate if you don't fancy Dembele! Another rumour is Real Madrid want him because Zidane loves him, and he'll stay on loan at Celtic.
10.) 05 Jan 2017 22:41:14
Another thing Billy - you're raving away about us only beating Ross County and Astana well before you start shouting your mouth off check the facts. I can't remember the last time we lost to an English team. We've a great record, even going back to us beating a world class Leeds team in the semi final of the European Cup in 1970.
Under Martin O'Neill we knocked out Blackburn and Liverpool on the way to the UEFA Cup Final. We beat Manchester United in the Champions League about 7 years ago and just drew with City. You need to sort yourself out so you do. Are you a Sevco fan? If so, I know you must be hurting, still it's only going to get worse! 10 in a row is already a given! Celtic have never been stronger!
The average age of our team is 23 and with Brendan Rodgers we have a manager who properly know the transfer market! Bolasie £28 million. Stones £50 million. Alonso at Chelsea for over £20 million - Celtic knocked him back when he was on a free transfer at Bolton. I could go on and on, it's truly bizarre!
11.) 05 Jan 2017 22:51:47
We got dicanio from Sheffield weds and only cause he shoved the ref over.
{Ed025's Note - now that was funny.. :)
12.) 05 Jan 2017 23:17:34
Yeh was the most theatrical dive ever lol.
13.) 05 Jan 2017 23:23:41
Well via Celtic, and I think he done alright for you. If you only got him because of the push well it says more about West Ham's standing than anything else!
14.) 05 Jan 2017 23:59:08
Anyway I wish West Ham all the best for the season, the fact you're struggling is more down to circumstances. The lad from Swansea getting injured in the first few weeks, Payet still coming down from playing with France and moving from Upton Park etc etc. Celtic have a standing area now and it's incredible, I heard your chairman was enquiring about it/ spoke to us, - it would make a big difference to that new stadium you've been landed with. I just want a fair price for Dembele because I think he's a better prospect than Van Dijk was. Cheers
15.) 06 Jan 2017 00:16:45
Oh sorry I forgot if a player plays some games for a club they own him forever, by the way we got frank mcavennie from St. Mirren celtic bought him from us I've got nothing against celtic at all by the way and total agree it's a big club but you don't exactly attract big names anymore
16.) 06 Jan 2017 00:34:25
I think you'll get a good price for dembele to be honest I don't think he will go this window if I was celtic i'd wait until summer, still you will win the league this year and Griffiths is a decent replacement anyway Good Luck to ya this year aswell
17.) 06 Jan 2017 09:08:48
haha Delphic calm down mate you'll give yourself a stroke
18.) 06 Jan 2017 09:46:24
Delphic. Much of your post makes good sense mate. I liked it. However, just to correct you, we got di Canio when he was snubbed by Sheffield wednesday after his famous referee push incident and nobody wanted to take a chance with him. Also, Di Canio has a West Ham tattoo, not a Celtic tattoo, Speaks volumes mate.
On a different note, you 4-4 aggregate score against Man City was indeed a good result, however, last season we beat them twice and I expect to beat them tonight.
However, results do not make a club bigger or better thank nan other - it's fans do!
I rate Dembele highly and think £20 Mill is a lot of money for the player, however, when I compare Dembele with Zaza who I believe we were going to buy for £25 Mill at the end of the season, he appears to be fairly valued. COYI

Well the inevitable has happened, fire sale incoming - good loads of deadwood there, plus a summer of excuses from Sullivan and the itks.
1.) 24 May 2026 18:48:37
I think even the most optimistic of us saw this after the Newcastle game.
Maybe it's for the best in the end, and now will come massive changes.
If Sullivan doesn't go or sell up, then something has to be done to recruit properly, and also, with a World Cup coming, things need to be sorted quickly.
24 May 2026 13:09:01
Well here we are, we've had lots of missed opportunities this season leaving us on the brink, let's hope today is no another missed opportunity, come out the blocks fast and try to put spuds under as much pressure as we can.
1.) 24 May 2026 13:50:40
Let's hope we sign off this awful season in style, Robbo.
2.) 24 May 2026 14:28:18
No regrets today. Give it everything. What happens in the Spurs match will happen. Just give ourselves a chance.
3.) 24 May 2026 16:54:50
Garbage going down with a whimper.
4.) 24 May 2026 17:18:30
What the hell is up with Bowen today!?. ?
11 May 2026 22:12:31
Spurs drawing. We are still in it, fellas. Chelsea won't want to do them any favours. Another massive weekend coming up.
1.) 11 May 2026 22:48:47
Watch the last two presentations by Nick Killington on Claret & Booze -
"The FA Stinks of Corruption : Live Match Reaction"
and
"Meet Nuno and Sullivan : The Architects of Our Downfall".
He says what I and one or two others have been saying for months. There's not a lot we can disagree with.
2.) 11 May 2026 22:56:51
I've been pretty vocal all season, Tin, on Nuno. I can't disagree with a lot of points Nick makes, to be honest.
3.) 12 May 2026 09:33:49
Tinlegs, welcome back, by the way, but come on guys, don't come on here making out you're a pair of oracles or mystics who predicted all of this and "I told you so"... We all know it's Sullivan's fault, there's no mystery there, and although I'm not a massive Nuno fan, I certainly don't put him in the same bracket as Sullivan, Brady and Potter, with Steindten prior to that, to be thrown into the mix.
Tin Legs, you kept banging on about wanting Thomas Frank, and that didn't turn out well for Spurs, did it.
4.) 12 May 2026 09:59:17
Dabber,
If there's one thing we are not, it's ITK. The reason for pointing out Nick is repeating what we've been saying is simply illustrating that we are not the only ones who place a great deal of blame at Nuno's feet. And, if you read previous posts, we've often opined that the fault of our woes lies with the whole board, in particular BSG and, lately, K. We know Sullivan had a controlling share, but the rest of the board also have a voice.
Currently, Nuno could have saved us, but his team selections, tactics and in-game management let us down. I hope he goes.
As for Frank - you ignore I said he was IMO a bad fit for Spurs, and I didn't think he would do well there. I still think he could be a success at WHU, but that is just an opinion.
5.) 12 May 2026 12:13:17
Appreciate the considered response TL. There have been times when Nuno's tactics have absolutely baffled and p**s*d me off in equal measures. The Chelsea game being the most obvious example, but in balance I also appreciate positive decisions he's made, JWP/Kilman dropped from the squad, the improvement to the defence and upturn in form, and above all the shower of s*** situation he inherited by the incompetent Potter. I actually don't want him to go because, in my opinion, he is our best shot at coming straight back up if the worst comes to the worst.
He knows how to manage in the Championship, and if there is the slightest chance of a Manager convincing some of the higher level players to stay and help us get back up, then, imo, and it's just an opinion, Nuno is that person. We have 2 games to go and we still have a fighting chance, and I just don't think this is the time for Nick or anyone else to say "I told you so".
6.) 12 May 2026 14:09:53
Dabber, it's more than that. Under Nuno we have lost 21 points from winning positions this season. If we do go down we will be in 17th place. When Nuno took over we were 17th, so in terms of league position (the most important thing at this moment in time), he hasn't improved us at all, so therefore has to go.
Oh, and add to that the incompetent Potter only out-tacticed one manager in his tenure here.
7.) 12 May 2026 15:48:34
Ok, given that we're not down yet, if we make the great escape and stay up, would you sack Nuno? I'm guessing your answer is going to be yes. In that scenario, then who would be your realistic choice as next manager?
8.) 12 May 2026 16:34:18
Marco Silva is available in summer, so id do everything I could to get him.
9.) 12 May 2026 17:56:56
Well said, Robbo. Couldn't agree more.
10.) 12 May 2026 18:04:13
It's a good shout. Agreed.
What if we're relegated?
11.) 12 May 2026 18:26:15
Wouldn't be a bad idea to give Paco a go, id think, like Hammer D suggested, or not sure if they would be able to get him, but the guy at Southampton could be an option if they don't get promoted.
One thing's for sure, there will be a lot of angry supporters if we get relegated, so if they want to get people back on side they need to play decent football again.
12.) 12 May 2026 20:49:58
I think Paco is a very good shout.
13.) 13 May 2026 13:23:01
Because many of my close family are German, I tend to follow the Bundesliga closely. It wouldn't harm us if we appointed one of the young up-and-coming German league managers, with an eye on the future. I'm fed up with us just planning for what's right in front of us.
It's time we planned to build from the foundations, and the start is appointing a young coach who delivers positive football. Some names to consider are:
Ole Werner
Merlin Polzin
Sebastian Hoenness
Julian Schuster.
Just some suggestions.
14.) 13 May 2026 16:13:45
Cheers TL, will check them out. It's another good shout. Too much dead wood, like Dyche, floating around, new talent would freshen things up.
15.) 13 May 2026 18:28:06
Hoenes looks like a good shout with above 50% win rate in 150 games. Schuster and Werner also look pretty good. Looking at his stats, I'd say Polzin is the weakest option but also the youngest. Thanks for sharing the info. ??
16.) 13 May 2026 18:56:02
All these choices mentioned seem interesting and positive the main issue is though unless we can get shot of the poisoned dwarf at the top, I can not see these sort of more interesting or positive choices being entertained because he can only see to the end of his nose.
Maybe Marco Silva or Paco would be considered as he will have heard of them. Some of the best managers in the prem have been previously unheard of the Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton managers, also Arsen Wenger
17.) 14 May 2026 13:55:34
Up or down, we need a revamped board and a different head coach with a director of football. Anything less just restarts the same old merry-go-round. I'm sick of it.
10 May 2026 18:36:13
Tried hard, good effort but not quite good enough, I thought it was a foul for the Wilson goal. Pablo was definitely impeading the goalkeeper. We haven't beaten any of the teams in the top 9 all season and that tells you we are where we deserve to be.
1.) 10 May 2026 19:17:25
Spurs will win tomorrow night and that will be that.
2.) 10 May 2026 19:24:20
Just on my way back, absolutely gutted. Thought they gave it a good go. I still think we will win our last 2 games, but not sure that will be any good!
3.) 10 May 2026 19:55:55
Particularly gutting to lose like that to be honest.
4.) 10 May 2026 21:08:49
I have just watched slo.mo 5 times. Whilst you can say that Pablo fouled the GK, he was being held by Trossard at the front, and it looked like Rice holding at the back.
Further, it looks like about five fouls going on at the same time; this goal should have stood.
If the ball had not entered the net, a penalty could have been given for holding Pablo. Hermansen made no contact with Raya whatsoever, and Raya dropped the ball.
Don't like to use the word biased, but I feel cheated. Poor decision. Joyfull.
5.) 10 May 2026 22:56:26
I agree, Joyful. Rice was holding Mav, and Soucek pulled down at the front post. There were several fouls in there, and, as you said, if the ball doesn't go in, VAR would be checking for a penalty. I feel gutted tonight.....
6.) 10 May 2026 23:59:26
Pablo had eyes on the ball, held his ground while Trossard's arms were wrapped around him and Gabriel was pulling his shirt. This was going on before Raya came out and failed to deal with it, along with Mavro being rugby tackled by Rice.
Soft, soft free kick for Raya. If that's a foul, then the rest are as well, but not for us.
7.) 11 May 2026 06:24:41
It was a terrible decision. VAR just went out of their way to disallow it, and that useless referee caved. If you look hard enough, you will find a foul in every penalty area scramble. I won't miss VAR if, as likely, we do drop.
8.) 11 May 2026 07:31:54
How many goals have Arsenal scored this year in exactly that way, with chaos going on in the box and not one of them chalked off.
9.) 11 May 2026 18:07:03
Because this is Varsenal. A lot has been made of the instances where the big 6 clubs are given favourable decisions compared to lesser teams, who are denied the same.
09 May 2026 17:44:20
The most West Ham thing ever would be for us to win tomorrow, then get pumped by Newcastle and Leeds, resulting in relegation anyway. ??
1.) 09 May 2026 19:36:37
Give it a go, that's all we can ask, no expectations. Joyfull.
2.) 10 May 2026 00:40:11
Well said, Joyful. Robbo, why even say that? Whilst there's hope, get behind the team. Your comments always err on the side of negativity, but why try and get a cheap laugh out of our situation? I just don't get that, mate.

My comments are negative because of the situation we are in, I say what I see and don't walk around with rose tinted glasses. I've also said on my previous posts we aren't down yet. If you haven't got a sense of humour, fair enough, but others have.
And, let's face it, we have form here, having denied teams titles by beating them when already relegated. And at what point have I ever even suggested I wouldn't get behind the team?

Come on, Dabber, surely a bit of cynicism or sarcasm is fine. im always coming out with it. Whilst Bill Shankly's great one-liner about football being far more important than life or death is really funny. It really ain't true.
Sadly, we are run by a joke of management, and it's us that bear the brunt of their decisions. I think you have to have a sense of humour. I just hope Robbo is only right about the first bit. I hope, but that's all I have.

I think you've completely missed the point of what I was saying. I've said I get about seeing which players are staying and going before we sign anyone, but that has n9 bearing on backroom staff. I cannot believe they did not know there was a possible scenario where we got relegated and Kretinsky took over and had a list of recruitment/directors of football that they had already spoken to.
PS, he isn't a new man completely. He's been around the club a while now, and with the amount of shares he has had, one would think he had a fairly significant say in club matters already.

Whilst I agree with the sentiment, we do need to move on. We know from past seasons how bringing players in with no pre season works out, and theres just over a month until kick off. Of course, there are a lot of things to be sorted out, but one would have thought there would be some planning towards the scenario that's unfolded; it could hardly have come as a surprise.
I get the piece around the players and who's going and staying, but you would have thought backroom staff would have been sorted by now.

Well, he's going to leave; it's just a matter of how much for. Man U and Spurs will both have other targets, so it will be interesting to see what happens.
In other news, SSN are reporting Koppen will be head of recruitment, and transfers will be decided between him, Nuno and Noble.
If that's true, Krentensky has learnt nothing; this is exactly what happened with Sullivan, Steidten and Moyes. It would also go some way to explaining why Nickson preferred Wrexham.

To be honest, I won't talk bad about Steidten because I believe he was set up to fail. I don't think he ever had any level of autonomy; there were Moyes and Sullivan sticking their oar in. Sullivan wanted it to fail so he could make out he was the complete oracle on these matters. None of the managers appointed were anything to do with Steidten, and apparently Moyes had the last say on transfers.
Nils Coppen, I don't know loads about him. I do know he is 41 and has been at 7 different clubs in a non-player capacity, which is rarely a good sign though, but I hope he is better than what I know about him.

He knows Virani from Rangers. That's what he's done, Joyful.
25 Jun 2026 21:21:14
I'd sell him, an average defender who, over the course of his West Ham career, has played well in a handful of games. If we get a decent price, sell.
19 Jun 2026 20:43:18
He was a good servant, but he's not as good as KWP, and can't see him coming as a back up in Championship.
12 Jun 2026 12:59:21
I seriously think some sponsors will back off, as they won't want their names associated with us after the sleazy Sullivan revelations, to be honest.
09 Jun 2026 18:09:07
I've spent the last god knows how long complaining about us signing old players and free transfers, Phil, so I'm really not bothered at all about all of these. I doubt they are on small wages, and, in what is a very demanding league physically, signing 2 players that are 34 and 35 is not the way to go for me.
I'm also not overly bothered about what other clubs are doing, it's more about what we do this summer, which I think will take a little bit of sorting out at boardroom level first off.

Good, let's see what happens now.
