Any truth to the Duran rumours currently resurfacing?
Also Ortega, if so I'd say he's a better option than Kinsky.
But improving the first choice CBs still has to be the priority, despite Disasi
Sullivan won't go for Cresswell that's obvious but Hien?

I think it is clear for all to see that West Ham are confident of bringing in two players on loan from Premiership clubs before the end of the window.

Premier League clubs are only allowed to register a maximum of two players on loan at any one time from other English top-flight sides, and if we were only looking to bring in one, we wouldn't of sent Igor Julio back to Brighton.

Sending Julio back to Brighton means we have two domestic loan slots open. So a goalkeeper and a centre back.

I can see us signing either Kinsky from Spurs or Ortega from Man City on loan to boost our keeper options and whether I like it or not I think Disasi on loan is our only likely target at centre back.

I know that means we don't spend the Paqueta money, but I can't shake the feeling that we already did when buying Castellanos and Pablo.

I think that'll be the end of our transfer window, unless we look to replace Guido and Ward-Prowse in midfield with someone like Tochukwu Nnadi from Zulte Waregem from Belgian. Although I don't think that's on the cards any more and I think we'll be seeing more of Magassa now the two of them have gone.

I think there is a chance West Ham consider a short term deal for Sterling, but that won't happen until after the window shuts.

2.) 30 Jan 2026 09:53:16
Well said, saved me a very long post, covering the loan situation

Polish boy is presently better than NNADI, in mdf but double the price

One of these is a possibility

Kinky on loan is an easier deal than Ortega, who would want number one spot

I don’t see much else happening, times getting short, we are all up for a nice suprise, but I think the business has been done

WH would be mad, to take Sterling even for amonth he was asking Spurs £250 k a week, he’s past it

3.) 30 Jan 2026 12:44:19
I don't disagree about Sterling being past his best, but I can see us signing him until the seasons end in an attempt to score our way out of relegation contention.

Personally I think Ortega is the better short term option until seasons end, because Kinsky, whilst young and undoubtedly talented, he is still raw and not enough top flight experience in a European top 5 league.

Disasi is the most likely centre back option, and I think we need to accept that he won't be followed up with another centre back signing. He will be exactly the same as Igor Julio because he won't start unless injuries or suspensions leave us with no other choice. HOWEVER, he is in my opinion a better defender than Igor Julio (faster, stronger, better in the air and may well get the best out of Todibo) .

Zalewski is a better player than Nnadi at present, but they are also completely different.

Zalewski is a left sided wing back / winger that can also play as an attacking midfielder and right winger. Think young, raw version of Davide Zappacosta (ex-Chelsea, Roma and Atalanta), Filipe Kostic (ex-Juventus and Frankfurt) .

Nnadi is a high energy, physical, aggressive defensive midfielder. He is a tenacious ball winner. Think Wilfred Ndidi (ex-Leicester City) . He has publicly said he tries to base his game play on N'Golo Kante and Moises Caicedo.

4.) 30 Jan 2026 22:46:32
Ortega contact runs out end of season so loan not really an option, Forest are looking to buy and are still at risk of relegation so why wouldn't he come to us?

29 Aug 2025 22:15:20
BBC suggesting we're back in for Charlie Cresswell?
Looks like Victor is gone to Forest. Was he registered before midday and if so what are the odd on him keeping a clean sheet and getting an assist?

Bloody good job, Sullivan in reality insulted Botafogo John Victor, and his agent, they had bought air tickets, paid for Hotel etc in advance, they were left in limbo, then let down, WH went ahead with no hands, tbh disgraceful behaviour from a premiership club,
I hope Victor plays well, and gets up Sullivans nose, now we are after a THIRD goalkeeper, because Potter doesn’t know, a good GK if he fell over one

20 Aug 2025 22:05:59
Rowe apparently a Salthouse client. Yes Bologna have agreed terms with player. But?
Seems unlikely as he's a winger and Potter doesn't play wingers. Not even when he has one of the best in the world already at his disposal. Maybe we should buy Rowe anyway and play him as an 8. At least when GP falls out of favour we'd have 4 exciting wide players for the inevitable replacement.

WH left it too late Rowe will sign tomorrow or Weekend, WH are slow on the uptake in general

18 Aug 2025 19:41:21
More phantom bids, Sterling and Brownhill to rock up Friday morning, too late for the evening home game and too late on their careers to do anything but warm the bench. More wasted wages and "PSR worries" indefinitely.
Prove me wrong Sully and I may buy an away shirt this season (not touching the hearts kit)

1.) 18 Aug 2025 20:02:35
OMG Sterling say it ain’t so

2.) 18 Aug 2025 20:14:33
Can't afford Sterling's wages and he is far to attack minded for Potter. Also there is no place for him in a 532 formation.

3.) 18 Aug 2025 20:31:18
Sterling is on 325 k a week, if Sullivan didn’t want to make a deal for Grealish he’s not making one for Sterling, maybe if Chelsea want to subsidise by 250 k a week, but that’s not happening

4.) 18 Aug 2025 23:26:25
Maybe what the loans are for.
DS loves a big name, high wages and a supposed bargain.
If Chelsea pay half the wages he'll bite their hands off and Potter will receive a parting gift.

Does anyone still believe that protesting against the board, would be in any way wrong?

Any Old Irish Iron

1.) 03 Feb 2026 06:09:04
Absolutely not. Long may it continue

Just out of interest, does anyone know how many loan signings we can have. I see James Rodriguez is a free agent lol

2.) 03 Feb 2026 06:23:12
Oxelaide Chamberlain, Aaron Ramsey, Deli Ali lol all free agents

3.) 03 Feb 2026 07:53:56
Forget Ox, going to Celtic where he will shine and in the summer we will offer £65m lol ? ?

4.) 03 Feb 2026 08:20:08
I think those protest will grow louder as simultaneously the crowds shrink. I feel that Sullivan is so bad we have the potential to sink into obscurity in a short period of time.

5.) 03 Feb 2026 08:25:59
All four of those players 4-5 years ago would have been worth signing on a free, not sure any of them are now, with the exception of MAYBE Oxlade-Chamberlin, who is currently training with Arsenal.

He is the only one of those four players that has actually been playing regular, competitive football in the last few seasons.

6.) 03 Feb 2026 13:55:05
We should be (but typically aren't) all over deals like this.

Letting Nnadi go to Marseille for 5m euros was criminal and in 3 years we'll be offering £40m for him.

This is our problem. No vision, no plan for the future except to fill Sullivans pockets

7.) 03 Feb 2026 16:17:03
Saint-Maximin is also available.

{Ed001's Note - he isnt.}

31 Jan 2026 21:19:51
Wow just wow,
imagine if we had put in a competent bid for Ekitike agew years back.
He would now be languishing on the bench on 200k per week or playing his trade in Serie C.

1.) 01 Feb 2026 09:03:10
Moyes said he didn't want him.

2.) 01 Feb 2026 10:39:54
Moyes, the man Who said Gykores was too slow for the premiership, at £15 m, Moyes the man, who said WH, only need 14 players, whom he flogged to death,

The game today, is all about the squads, Everton and virtually All the teams above us, have far better squads than us, that’s the main reason we are where we are, there’s just no escaping that fact

3.) 01 Feb 2026 11:13:01
He said the same about Morgan Rogers, remember we were linked with him about 12m, remember when he scuppered the Alex Scott deal, he also didn't want Duran in the Jan before he left. Long list of players he got so wrong and ended up with rubbish instead like, jwp, cornet, vlasic, augerd, ings, phillips.

The 2 Daves made a real mess of this club every step of the way they got things wrong.

06 Jan 2026 22:02:27
Normal service resumed, 2 strikers and Bowen on the pitch, 0 shots on target in the second half.

Poor team selection again, what does Summerville do to justify his place?
Soucek and Fernandes will be overrun in midfield, defense still looks extremely lightweight.

Imagine if Nuno had had a week to work with the players and not 2 days.
The owners had written off 3 points and will crow about earning 1.
We could have had 3.
Now imagine if Brady hadn't convinced Sullivan to keep Potter on long term and we'd had a Professional for preseason and the opening 5 games.
BS OUT

If the wages and contract don't hold us to ransom he seems to have improved over there and as a backup or option for the Championship the fee seems reasonable, can he play CB though?

More like Sullivan offering him around hoping for the highest bid which he can pocket, while implying the player wants to leave so he doesn't get the blame when he does inevitably end up at Spuds.

If we can convince anyone above us to take JWP we should continue to pay his wages as it could be our best/only hope of staying up. His backwards and sideways passing is sure to result in goals.

Conceded

Surely there's another club out there, who pay something similar to the inflated prices Sullivan is always willing to pay? Man Utd for example.

The Kilman effect?, their subs changed the game but ours lost it. Fofana given far too much space, but the change to 5 at the back really killed us, trying to defend a lead for 45 mins and removing any attackers who can hold the ball up was tactical ineptitude of the highest order, on a par with Loopy and Potter.

Kilman and Traore have cost us more than 3 points today, all subs made us weaker. Really poor from Nuno, Potts, Magassa or Kanye would have helped congested the middle and forced them wide where AWP and Doug absolutely dominated.

Brooking you've been on here talking up Just walking Pace as if the team would be better with him in it, now you think he's going to score goals for Burnley which would relegated us.

Your concept of irony is about as far of the mark as Alanos Morrisettes, as I said if you mean what you say don't attack those (many of us who can't wait to see the limpet gone) with unfounded suggestions that we're in the minority, especially on here where you might be JWPs Onlyfan (maybe get a subscription) ?

With some of the fantasies you post Brooking, we can only imagine you believe what you write. If you feel differently maybe make that clear with an emoji or just write what you truly mean.
