Further to two recent posts bid being expected next week for Fulkrug, from Besiktas circa. 17.5 m euros , not known if player fancies Turkey? Also, Not known how much bid needs to be for WH to accept, Fenerbache, may also be interested

Good striker and looks like a leader. Can we get better for 17.5m? probably not.

Part of the transfer business is discussion and ideas, amongst WH people, manager, and associates, , I understand amongst many, a couple of the ideas are, Tammy Abraham, his loan to Milan is over from Roma, he's available for another loan at £1m for the season, his wages need to be covered 95k a week, another idea, Gudmonsen, at Fiorentina, on loan from Genoa, He is a an ATM/ second forward, good quality player, whom WH have twice tried to buy in the past, Fiorentina, cannot afford to buy him at £14 m, so he's going back to Genoa, WH player Cornet is on loan at Genoa, who want to loan him, perhaps buy him for next season, could be business to be done there? It's just ideas that have been heard

For some obscure reason? WH think they can get Chris Rigg from Sunderland, for between £10/12 m, Chelsea Man U Newcastle , and Spurs, are all interested between. £20/25 m, Sunderland. Want £35 m, which they won't get, but WH need to get real, we are way off beam

1.) 16 May 2025 18:29:37
Pretty sure he's a Newcastle fan, seems similar profile to earthy. Infact statically earthy is better in some areas despite not given as much opportunity at bristol. Even if we could get him for 25m I think that's money better spent in different areas of the team.

15 May 2025 17:34:14
WH should be tailing Brightons methods in South America, where they appear to be able to pick up gems and sell them on, latest is Cuiabano of Botofago for 4.5 m dollars, I'll watch this with interest, see if and when he pops up in England If he does, and does well, WH will need a permanent scout, over there, using a part timer, has yielded nothing

India is the most populated country in the world. Why aren’t we investing in football centres of excellence? Yes, I know football is very low profile there, but getting in early could reap huge dividends.

2.) 16 May 2025 17:49:26
About 30 yearns ago WH we’re invited to have a team in the MLS, and share a stadium initially, maybe with Portland Timbers, there was much initial enthusiasm, , a fantastic oppurtunity , to attract North American and South American talent, but later consideration torpedoed the idea, big mistake, The story in more recent times, is When Diouf came from Metz, the French club floated the idea, they could be sister club to WH, another big opportunity, this was, never taken up, The football view is either of these routes, would have seen WH in a much better position than it is today, Football is changing, Sullivan isn’t, whilst he is calling the shots, we will never achieve a high level, he’s a clever man, but unfortunately, times move on, and he can’t move with the times, it happens to older people, who get stuck in a time zone, it’s normal, but it’s time for Sullivan to go, we need younger more ambitious people at the helm

15 May 2025 17:28:07
Following the post on Belgium players WH have just been quoted 20 m euros for forward Talbi, those that remember him destroying.
Atalanta, may not consider that bad value

1.) 15 May 2025 18:47:18
He looked pretty decent in that game. The money sounds about right, which is why we will offer 5-10 mil

2.) 15 May 2025 19:54:31
As much as that? £5 m! WH hoping to get him on a free, Hammer D we need to step up a bit, otherwise, we won’t be getting any of these original targets

3.) 16 May 2025 08:28:07
Joyful I think that is known by most of us, but it seems to be the same story every season. Even last season from memory Killman and Guilherme were the only players signed early and then a mad rush at the end of the window. But this time they are suggesting so many players are leaving I can see us ending up with a very small squad again. I know we have some coming back from loan but who’s to say they are up to it or won’t be loaned again. Hopefully they are up to it and like new signings

4.) 16 May 2025 10:25:39

If Spurs play Man U. In Europa cup final, what a load of rubbish, their euro opposition, must be, Spurs are as bad as us, difference is Levy will spend a fortune, to put it right, will we? Kilman? What can you say? So poor .WH looking at Yahia Fofana Gk Angers, good young keeper, for me I'd rather get him in for a cheaper price, than waste a £18 m bid for Ramsdale

1.) 04 May 2025 17:30:55
Couldn’t bare to watch the game today but didn’t think we would win regardless of who was in the spuds team. Not sure we will sign anyone before the manager situation is sorted out. I was really happy when Potter was appointed as I guess I was like everyone else, duped by the publicity surrounding Pitter. Not at all convinced he is the manager to take us into next season, I think we should cut our losses and get rid, when you compare what the Wolves manager has done with a very poor squad and you look what Potter has done they are chalk and cheese. No I don’t know who should we replace Potter with but giving him time and his own players for me is not the answer.

2.) 04 May 2025 18:35:51
Yeah, I couldn’t agree more, I never understood why Potter was the clear favourite in the first place, but the fans on here and by a huge majority wanted him, This was the only time Sullivan was right, he only wanted to appoint Potter as a caretaker, but he was Harangued by Brady and her husband, and this is the result, Sullivan is now in a corner, twist or stick, does he back a winless manager with lots of dough, or get rid, it’s a lot cheaper to sack the manager, than to get rid of one or two players, that might be useful, he could take the cowards way out, which is likely just to spend as little as possible, to hopefully keep us up, a dangerous game, it’s solely his call

3.) 04 May 2025 22:10:41
Hopefully sullivan will now do the right thing and end this potter is out of his depth, I'm not sure who is right but it certainly isn't potter on what we have witnessed since January

We are stuck with Sullivan because he treats our club as a cash cow. If he is determined to stay, he should appoint a real director of football and, unlike he treated Steidten, leave him to do his job properly, including appointing a suitable head coach with PI conditions in his contract. Until that happens, we’ll continue with the cast list of a JK Rowling movie running the show.

If WH weren't. Such penny pinchers! And looked to the future, they should go for investing in a sister club in French Ligue 1 or a club in the MLS In USA, . Chelsea and Bournemouth! Are doing very well out of their respective agreements with Strasbourg and Lorient', we have an agreement with much lower division Vvv Venlo in Holland, which is a waste of Time, WH are falling behind the times, there are clubs in both countries. That WH could work with

Red Robbo et all, to continue re Terzic, it turns out, As a former WH coach, he thought he was a natural for the job, he was spoken to, but never had a formal approach or Interview, what Bilic had to say, was just ' hearsay ", cannot be verified, he in reality was never a contender, that's probably why he's a little spiteful, he was very mouthy at BVB, that's why they parted company, he should have learnt better by now, can he get Spurs job? Sure .lthey like us , havnt got much of a clue either

I know that some of you are Potter fans, He was never my choice as said many times before, BUT that's immaterial, it's all about TIME, the premier league in my opinion is the most competitive in the world, what you don't get is TIME, Potter has been more than fortunate, that we are safe, with most points gathered before his TIME, now the last few games are dead rubbers, amongst our players, we have the captain of Mexico, captain of Czech, top internationals all over the place, a far more impressive line up, than Wolves or Palace, and just look, how they have improved, whilst we have nosedived, I don't care who the manager is as long as we do well, Idont feel, that will happen with Potter, he's had TIME aplenty, I think the jobs just too big for him, too much is required of him, we don't have vindictive fans, we are football appreciate fans, WH fans don't expect success every season, they want competitive good football, on a regular basis, and enough points to get us top half of table, where we should be, can Potter deliver, just me for one I don't think so, sorry Potter fans, but I would be happy to be proved wrong

Joyfull

{Ed001's Note - sorry but you are deluded if you think your team is better than either Wolves or Palace's team. Dodgy keeper, terrible defence, non-existent midfield. You have two players, Bowen and Wan-Bissaka, the rest are either not ready yet (Scarles), well past it (Antonio etc), never been any good (Ward-Prowse, Soucek etc) or have attitude issues (Paqueta, Kudus etc). It is quite alarming how far you have slid in the last few years, in terms of recruitment.

Like I said earlier, I am not convinced Potter is the right choice, but he is also not the problem.}

1.) 28 Apr 2025 13:23:58
NO I do not belieVe WH are better than Wolves or Palace, They certainly are not I believe they have BETTER managers, than us, Ed I’m not deluded and I don’t haVe any illusions about WH in general, either, whilst I agree with you in most part, MY main thrust is Potter ……is he the man for this job, ? Or May/e it’s too much for him, WH behind the scenes, are in limbo, they don’t know what to do, I don’t, and don’t pretend to offer up a solution either, I’m expressing on here, what the main contingent of supporters are thinking and talking about, at present, and what was evident at the last few games, of course the players take the blame, and Potters made that clear, trying to defend himself, his post match interview, was? Have you watched it Ed?, if not please do, to me it came over, as he was like a broken man, Please let me have your comments

{Ed001's Note - I totally agree on Pereira being better, but they got a gem there. Glasner I like the look of too. But I would say that neither of them would do any thing much with you, not because they are not good, but because you have nothing to work with.

I rarely watch interviews, it is only if they are on while I am waiting for footie to start I will catch them, I haven't seen that one. He was the same in the early days at Brighton, there were often reports saying he looked finished. I think it is just his way, he takes it to heart too much, which is why I am not sure he is the right man. I think he could be, but he needs more arrogance, to not give a toss what is said. He is a bit too soft for this cut throat world. He was brilliant for Ostersunds because he had full backing, without that I just think he doubts himself.}

2.) 28 Apr 2025 13:33:59
I think the point is we may not be better than wolves or palace now, I think we were better than wolves in January when we all changed managers. We were above palace in the league but they do have a good side and maybe just had a bad first half of the season.
I think Paqueta, and Kudus are much better than most wolves or palace players. Admittedly they have been poor this season but maybe if the team was set up differently you might get more from their attributes

{Ed001's Note - you actually make a good point - Wolves did invest very well in January, which transformed their team by bringing in a solid defender. Push pineapple has been excellent for them and will be attracting attention from bigger boys with bigger wallets.}

3.) 28 Apr 2025 13:45:19
Just ticked agree as thought I was agreeing to Ed001’s comments. Ed I couldn’t agree more in everything you have just said. I’m going to say goodbye for a few weeks now as feel we are just going round in circles. Joyful keep posting your updates on here, it’s good to read them and I’ll continue to do so. Will engage again during the transfer window. Enjoy the the start of the summer chaps ?

{Ed001's Note - enjoy your summer Dabber.}

4.) 28 Apr 2025 14:22:34
Don’t stay away on our part fella. It’s only healthy or unhealthy debate! You might be right only time will tell.
We can’t agree all the time as that would be boring, mind you it would be nice once in a while ?
Enjoy the temporary break

5.) 28 Apr 2025 14:38:23
Surely, gents, the most important step is to appoint the right man to mastermind the rebuild and then manage the outcome properly? Clearly, Potter is not that man. The job is just too big for him, as evidenced by his post-match press conference and his record. To get the right man we need a sensible owner and consensus among the board of directors. We don’t have that, as each director appears to have their own agenda. We will get nowhere until there’s a clear out in the boardroom.

6.) 28 Apr 2025 16:16:37
Likewise Dabber, just going over and over the same points with no alternative offered by anybody so catcha laterzzzzz all. By the way, am not renewing my season ticket

7.) 28 Apr 2025 16:38:35
I by and large agree with what you have said there but we are in a bit of a chicken and the egg situation. Are you saying keep potter until the board sell up or are you saying you feel potter has to go because he doesn’t seem up to it. But then we are relying on Sullivan and his agents to appoint our next manager.

26 Apr 2025 18:17:44
Will we get another point this season? At this moment can't see it, anybody want to be bold and make a prediction?

Joyfull

1.) 26 Apr 2025 18:28:43
It is a bit bizarre that 3 of our last 4 games are against teams in the the bottom 6, obviously with us that makes 4 teams. So you would fancy yourself against the bottom teams but I ain’t bold enough to say.
I didn’t see the game today so can’t comment on how we play. It is telling as a couple have said that once JWP came off we were better.

2.) 26 Apr 2025 19:49:54
It feels like all the games have been pretty close some we've drawn that we could have won and ones where we should have got a draw we've lost. With a bit of luck things might have been different or maybe if Potter just got the team selection right?! Rather than not playing a striker so we can have an extra man in defence or midfield just to keep the game tight, the second half was much more enjoyable, yes we were much more open but we've got good players that can hurt teams when the game is back and fourth like that as shown today. Just errors and a maybe a weak mentality cost us.

Coufal was a strange sub pretty pointless, yes he got beat by header at the back post but nothing to suggest emerson would have dealt with that any better maybe more intune with it, kilman just left mitoma though everyone knew he wasn't a 45m player paid twice what he's worth.

And we've got spurs so yes we will pick up points.

3.) 27 Apr 2025 07:33:21
On the whole the performance was better but it's quite clear our players cannot focus or concentrate for 90 plus minutes. They should be ashamed of allowing players to take pot shots from 35 yards and the keeper shouldn't be getting beaten from that range.

No closing down and sitting back to deep is the players not Potter.

For sure Potter is learning all about our players and he will know who, if anyone, he wants to keep.

Wolves saw us coming regarding Kilman. The more I see of this guy the less impressed I am

4.) 27 Apr 2025 08:53:29
“No closing down and sitting back too deep is the players not Potter.”
Are you serious? This is so obviously tactical and not a player mindset.

5.) 27 Apr 2025 09:52:32
Phil (Mac) I didn’t see the whole game and only saw the highlights on MOTD but you could see it so obviously even from that short air time. That the first half was mediocre, playing too deep, go one down. But he changed things up in the second half with immediate affect. You could see that he had told them to be more on the front foot as they playing in far more advanced positions for the majority the second half, then we get the second goal and then the almost immediately the fatal substitution and they had obviously been Instructed to all come back 11 behind the ball which just invited them to attack and we know from when Moyes was manager what generally happens. Yes some of the players could have done better but what brought their 2 goals was his total negativity. Just play as they had done in the first 35 minutes of the second half and I think people may be less critical and see some hope. It was a masterclass in tactical stupidity.

6.) 27 Apr 2025 15:00:38
In order to be fair as possible, I delayed watching Potter’s post-match press conference until today. If that is not a broken man, I don’t know what is. He used the excuse of internal anger and frustration to avoid answering legitimate questions. He even referred one point to whoever was beside him. It doesn’t take a genius to recognise that he is way out of his depth and now realises the job in front of him is too big for him to handle. All the misguided hype over his Brighton record is now coming home to roost. He’s clueless. It’s no good shifting the blame onto the players. This has been going on for a few weeks, and if the players aren’t playing well, whose job is it to put that right? The tea lady? It’s Potter’s responsibility and he clearly can’t handle it. He’s an EFL Championship coach in a Premiership job and giving him time will not change that. He certainly should not be in charge of the rebuild this club desperately needs. If Sullivan had got his way and Potter was given a suck it and see 6 month contract, on his current form at WHU, you can’t tell me that everyone on here would be clamouring for Potter to go. Think about it. If not, you’d be asking for a new contract for a bloke whose record is appalling! If he stays, he’ll be gone by Christmas, if not before.

7.) 27 Apr 2025 15:23:09
Re above: Obviously, I meant “…. you can’t tell me that everyone on here would NOT be clamouring for Potter to go.”

8.) 27 Apr 2025 17:01:10
OMG that was like witnessing someone having a meltdown right in front of you. I think you are right regarding him seeing how out of his depth he is. But I don’t take any pleasure from that it is only viewable through the gaps in your fingers. But then again Loppy had exactly the same. And not many had any sympathy for him.
One thing I did pick up on was when the guy asked him what we can do differently if this happens again in the future and he replied “ maybe we could try and shut up shop” that’s exactly what he has done on the 3 recent occasions it has happened. And it’s failed dismally. So he is in denial of his negative approach to the end of matches.

Don’t think that WH expected quite the intensity, that some of the targets are attracting, considering the amount of players we need, I understand WH are going in a bit too lightweight money wise, they might need a rethink on funds, and if they are genuinely determined to sell before buying, lots of people are going to be sold before WH get involved, this does not have a good portent, last two seasons, it wasn’t difficult to work out how much money we were starting with, and the figures were close, at the moment it’s difficult to nail
