I'm sure we will see a new manager bounce. Tonight's game should be a win with or without Parker. And it's obviously too soon to compliment or condemn.
It will be interesting to see if he brings back any or all of Orford, Areola, Magassa and Alvarez. Areola should be a shoe in.
I'm hoping for the best.

The first thing as Hammer says he should do is show the midget in goal the door and get areola back in after that repair any damage done with Alverez, if he brings the same style he has at other clubs expect the boring and mundane.
The strength in our squad is up top so we need to play on the front foot and in the final third it doesn't take Einstein to work that out, and it isn't difficult to see why the last 3 managers have failed miserably. Hopefully Parker can change his negative style or he will be the 4th in a row.
It also goes to show who is still making the descions at the club as it was Sully that wanted Parker in the summer, as he was the cheap safe option.
I was never that bothered about promotion, I always thought relegation was a chance to play against traditionally smaller clubs with less financial clout than us and actually get a team with an identity unfortunately I doubt now that will be the case, although I will wait and see what happens.

Yeah, well I suppose he was the obvious candidate. Very quick appointment he's got plenty of nous both as a manager and as a former player, I know his premier record is pony, but not something to worry about at the moment
WH is a. very difficult job, because the expectations are so high Parker knows that, agency tells me he was there on Saturday about three rows from me, I didn't see him to be honest, but looks like it was on the cards anyway, apparently Kretinsky was there as well not together of course
Think it wasn't only the loss, but the manner of defeat which did the persuading
For me Nuno had to go, he's isolated some players, now of course they all start with a clean slate, so if it's Parker let's all get behind him.

Not bad to be honest. Give him an incentivised contract based on promotion and if he struggles in the premier league we part ways.
He was an obvious choice due to how quick we could make the appointment, but I'd have preferred Bellamy.

I must admit to being quite pleased that James Ward-Prowse has finally departed. Apart from his first months here, we never got to benefit from his so-called dead ball specialty, and his abilities as a midfield player are nothing short of abysmal. Despite this, I wish him well with his old club, Southampton. Apart from the times we play them that is! ?

Any truth in the rumours about Jayden Oosterwolde, the 24 yr old Dutch defender for Fenerbahce? I've seen his name mentioned in a couple of places. He cost the Turkish side £5 million a couple of years ago, but he's had trouble with his ACL in his knee. Looks like a real beast.

Apparently there are quite a few CBs we are looking at, Cresswell being the name that keeps getting pushed personally i think the others we are looking at are better options, Cresswell is good in the air but his ability on the ball is apparently questionable, do we really need another clumsy CB? If he already struggles in possession in ligue 1 how bad will it be in the prem?

I'm sorry, but I don't love Nuno. He is the reason we got relegated. He is the reason we are struggling in the 2nd tier. What's his excuse? Read what he said post match and think about his comments:

First game I've missed for ages, but it looks like I didn't miss much. By all accounts, our goalie can't keep hold of the ball and Taty was doing the Sun crossword. We desperately need a striker, a goalie and a new manager!

Completely down to Nuno's tactics for me. No balls to go out and attack the game from the off always too cautious, keep it tight mentality its boring to watch and gives opposition far too much respect, when a lot of our players are far better than the opposition.
Then his subs of soucek and pablo completely killes the momentum we had. Pablo on the wing and Mukasa taken off for Soucek. Awful.

I said in another post I feared the worst today and turned out to be true. Since Nuno has been manager the only consistent thing is our inconsistency. When we come to a crucial game that can send us on a run we capitulate with awful team selection and tactics and subsequent result.

VAR cocks it up yet again. What a breath of fresh air if is in the Championship with no VAR. Does the VAR facility add anything to the sport, or is it detrimental with all the delays and discussions? Personally, I think it's ruining the game.

What I think is also good is that we see goals given or disallowed now and there's no great reaction from the crowd to what may have been the incorrect decision, but it's just human error with a difficult decision.
Not clear and obvious which is what VAR should have been in the first place.

It's just another thing that has been forced on us. I see they are introducing food like lentils and chickpeas into school dinner menus, whilst banning such desserts as cake and pudding. Apart from the fact that, in my day, gipsy tart, spotted dick, syrup sponge, etc, were the highlights of school dinners, afternoons in the classrooms will be chaos with laughter over the raucous farting! Can you imagine it? Once introduced, these things are difficult to reverse.
I can't see VAR being shelved now and there is little that can be done to satisfactorily revise it. I'm afraid we're stuck with it and I can only see it being expanded.

Those overseeing have no clue or consistency and as weve seen, these bad decisions can end up costing clubs millions and premier league status
As Carrick said "its worrying the state of the game if thats how they are officiating the game"
I for one refuse to watch premier league football and find footie more enjoyable in the championship. How many. of our goals on Friday would've been ruled out because a toenail or strand of hair was offside? Its ridiculous.
