I must admit to being quite pleased that James Ward-Prowse has finally departed. Apart from his first months here, we never got to benefit from his so-called dead ball specialty, and his abilities as a midfield player are nothing short of abysmal. Despite this, I wish him well with his old club, Southampton. Apart from the times we play them that is! ?

Any news on the rumour surrounding the Brazilian Ze Vitor who currently plays for Nacional in Portugal? This guy is being discussed by a few sources.

Any truth in the rumours about Jayden Oosterwolde, the 24 yr old Dutch defender for Fenerbahce? I've seen his name mentioned in a couple of places. He cost the Turkish side £5 million a couple of years ago, but he's had trouble with his ACL in his knee. Looks like a real beast.

The attraction, again is he can play all across the back, and he would not be expensive
Down side is as you say, no good buying injuries
Would he pass a genuine medical
That’s the issue , I always think back to Zouma, who passed our medical ( he didn’t ) , played well for a while, then his career collapsed

Apparently there are quite a few CBs we are looking at, Cresswell being the name that keeps getting pushed personally i think the others we are looking at are better options, Cresswell is good in the air but his ability on the ball is apparently questionable, do we really need another clumsy CB? If he already struggles in possession in ligue 1 how bad will it be in the prem?

VAR cocks it up yet again. What a breath of fresh air if is in the Championship with no VAR. Does the VAR facility add anything to the sport, or is it detrimental with all the delays and discussions? Personally, I think it's ruining the game.

My lads support Chelsea and Varsenal and they are saying the same. Surely it has to be time to take a step back and either get rid or change the people overseeing.

What I think is also good is that we see goals given or disallowed now and there's no great reaction from the crowd to what may have been the incorrect decision, but it's just human error with a difficult decision.
Not clear and obvious which is what VAR should have been in the first place.

It's just another thing that has been forced on us. I see they are introducing food like lentils and chickpeas into school dinner menus, whilst banning such desserts as cake and pudding. Apart from the fact that, in my day, gipsy tart, spotted dick, syrup sponge, etc, were the highlights of school dinners, afternoons in the classrooms will be chaos with laughter over the raucous farting! Can you imagine it? Once introduced, these things are difficult to reverse.
I can't see VAR being shelved now and there is little that can be done to satisfactorily revise it. I'm afraid we're stuck with it and I can only see it being expanded.

Problem is that its not VAR, its how its being interpreted
Those overseeing have no clue or consistency and as weve seen, these bad decisions can end up costing clubs millions and premier league status
As Carrick said "its worrying the state of the game if thats how they are officiating the game"
I for one refuse to watch premier league football and find footie more enjoyable in the championship. How many. of our goals on Friday would've been ruled out because a toenail or strand of hair was offside? Its ridiculous.

Apart from the first half hour, I enjoyed the Wolves game. Yes, it was a bit nerve racking at times, and we looked vulnerable, but it seems that the wonder strike by Mukasa woke up the West Ham players and shook them out of the malaise in which they were initially immersed. It’s as if an unknown hand took hold of them and a voice said, “f*** this defensive bollocks; let’s have a go!” One match a season does not make, but we desperately need more of that.
Nuno looked bemused on the touchline as if it came as a surprise. Maybe it did. If ever there was a lesson for him that this group of lads are capable of playing attacking football, then this was it. Take note Nuno.

What worries me is that people here think it's almost a done deal that we'll get promoted. I don't think it's going to be a cake walk. Yes, we're a big club, but escape from the Championship is famously difficult. I think we'll do it, but it's no certainty. Every game will be a cup final.

Agreed Joyful, but there's always the chance of a slip up later against lesser opposition. After all, this is football! It will provide a rough guide to form. Not forgetting that all other teams could improve or have off days.

For most of the game, Fulham were fielding a "B” side, after making so many changes from the side that drew with Liverpool. No doubt we'll see even more of Pablo, now he's actually discovered the back of the net. The angle was sharp and he took it well. A good goal. However, his contribution apart from that was woeful. I watched his performance and he continually lost the ball or gave it away.
Still useless.
The defence desperately needs tightening up. I'm still shaking my head over Kilman, and Mavropanos was generally excellent, but he did have a few slip ups. There were some promising moves, but I gave up watching after their third goal because I thought the writing was on the wall. Oh well, we have a way to go. Millwall up next. COYI!
