On a day when we lost one of the greatest hammers, this team are everything Billy bonds was not, no fight no passion no leadership, this is a team full of losers.

Liverpool were there for the taking today so we sit deep play completely passively, create nothing and defend terribly.

The headlines will all be about paquettas red card, yes he's an idiot but the whole team is an absolute disgrace

Such a ridiculous red card. Both yellows for gobbing off to the referee, but the second one is absolutely ludicrous. How has Bowen stood there and allowed it to happen? WEAK CAPTAINCY, he should have grabbed Paqueta by the back of the neck and marched him away.

Too much blame being put on on Bowen when What was Nuno doing, he should have hauled Paqueta off immediately he saw his big mouth shouting whilst following the Ref round!

IMO Nuno should be known as the “Damager” not Manager, he’s responsible for team behaviour, too many blaming Bowen for on field activities, where would we have been the last few seasons without him! Perhaps we should buy Declan back, too many Whiners on here when things go wrong!

Ed025’s, I completely 100% agree with you, I watched the game effing and blinding all the through, my post was all about the slating of Bowen by so many posters! I believe he was made Cap because many younger players looked up to him as he was inspirational to them? so he is not a Captain insofar as wrestling the arrogant Paqueta off the pitch, Nuno was looking around tugging at hit nose, he should have hauled him off!

{Ed025's Note - Paqueta was a disgrace Chelmsford, if i didn,t know better i would think he tried to be sent off mate, i think Bowen is your only class player to be honest and if he were to go i would fear for your status as a premiership team but even with him i still believe you are in trouble..

Ed025, Thanks for your thoughts on the incident, every person that saw that happen live, would come to the very same conclusion surely? Absolutely agree with your Bowen comment, too much reliance on one man up front, hope this doesn’t drive him away from our club to a more successful team as there would be many offers for him in the transfer windows?

{Ed025's Note - Bowen will want to be part of the England set up Chelmsford and that will be in jeopardy if hes playing in a struggling side, the Hammers are awful at the moment mate and clubs will be queuing around the block for his signature, unless you get your act together i can see him leaving in Summer if not before, i wish you well my friend..

Magassa should never have been dropped after arsenal imo. Still annoys me that we had him, potts, fernandes paqueta available for brenford and leeds but Nuno picked soucek and Irving in both games.

For me the greatest Hammer I knew ( i'm too young for bobby moore) but he epitimised what west ham is all about a true warrior who gave everything on and off the pitch and was a complete gent with it, will be greatly missed

Just go back from watching my Grandson play and have only now seen the news. I really don't have the words right now, but my sincerest condolences to Billy's family and friends.

A true legend in every sense of the word.

Absolute legend, warrior yet also a mild mannered gent. Along with Devonshire and brooking and Best my favourite hammers from back in the day.
