WATERSHED MOMENT

Just before half time yesterday AWB came right through into-the penalty area, he's 15 yards from the goal, there's no obvious pass, (from where I am he's just to my right )

Just smash it low and hard at the goal: I felt 3-0 coming up,

He didn't ball rolled out of play

After that game went against us, That was the turning point

You can blame Nuno all you want, but could anyone, really do better, with this squad?

Look at Chelsea, their is just no comparison

Todibo out, WH are scrambling around for a CB, which should have been NUMBER ONE priority in the window

IF things are NOT-right at the top of the club, how can things go right on the field?

A win yesterday, we are in the race, now?the psychological effect may Finish us, and sometimes, you need some luck to go with it we are certainly not getting that, it was used up last season

After that defeat. It's going to be really hard to pick ourselves up,

As poorly as our squad has been built, there were 4 subs that would have been a better option than Kilman.

We had chances to make it 3, even at 2-2 Todibo could have scored the winner. Fine margins went against us.

How has Mavro not been awared a free kick with their second goal? Clear forearm elbow to this face? Why do these decisions go against us but not for us? Bored of it, and now we get to watch the ref cam to see up close how sh*t they are. Summerville tackled clean right infront of the ref and he gave a free kick in a dangerous position.

01 Feb 2026 11:58:53
It will only be hard to pick ourselves up if the players play the “woe is me card”. For 60 minutes we battered one of the richest clubs in the World away at a ground we rarely get even a point from. Yes if Taty had scored or AWP or Fernandes when he shot at the keeper we would have (in all likelihood) been out of sight, but they didn’t and the minute Chelsea show a threat, Nuno referred to type (which I posted last week hoping that he wouldn’t) and went defensive. You are right in the problem primarily lies at the top as if we’d gone all out for a CB it might have been Cresswell being brought but it would still have altered a system that we’ve just started to play really well, mid game, which then threw everything into panicked chaos.

If he’d just swapped Pablo for Potts there would have been minimal change on the pitch and still remained an attacking threat. Nuno got it wrong, again, and needs to earn his money by taking the blame and ensuring the players don’t give up or forget about the very good things they’ve done in the last 270 minutes or so of PL football! COYI!

01 Feb 2026 13:07:26
Even though we dominated the first half, I think he should have started with Wilson up front and Taty just behind him in the number 10 position. Pablo is obviously not a Premiership player and should not be starting over Wilson. I would have started with Potts over Soucek who is another below par player.

And possibly Scarles over Diouf who cannot defend. Kilman should be nowhere near the bench, let alone the pitch, but now he’ll be starting through necessity. With Nuno and Sullivan in charge, the situation is dire.

01 Feb 2026 13:33:40
They say you learn by your mistakes. Clearly Nuno doesn't

01 Feb 2026 14:25:38
I don’t think it’s fair to single out one missed chance. A split second wrong decision when we have all the next day to reflect and analyse . There were a number of other chances missed, but every team in the league have that week in week out it’s called football.

Totally agree that the problem lies at the top and always has. I disagree also with what is any manager meant to do with these players. They showed the first half that we can play and entertain. Chelsea were poor first half but we were still good. The problem came from the change as most have said so the manager should take some stick for that and try and do things different.

As Dabber said he could still play more conservative by bringing on Potts and Magassa and I think that would have worked far better.
I don’t like scapegoating any player or individual but for the rest of the season it could be a disaster because of Todibo which is a real shame because he has been one shining light for most of the season. I bet the FA slap a bigger ban on him like they did for Kudus last year. It will be really difficult to recover from this but if they can show the first half endeavour then there is always a chance.

01 Feb 2026 15:22:23
I thought we were excellent 1st half yday. I felt exactly the same re that AWB chance but he didn't have the confidence to just lace it into the bottom corner. Taty had another great chance earlier in the 1st half.

Our manager is an issue now. We play well 45 mins but run out of steam and Nuno just decides we try and sit back. Our defence get caught continually by crosses into the box : QPR, Spurs, Sunderland, Chavski.

It's ridiculous really.

01 Feb 2026 09:30:04
Just watched MOTD this morning we looked good going forward with the few clips they showed of us, but how deep we were after 2-1 was a joke. Ma rip Amos for the first was at fault he looked at the scorer and left him for the cross, but nuno how can u think u can just ram a load of defensive players on and hold.

He's done it too many times now, he's cost us so may points. We need to bring a couple of defenders in 100%. Kilman is shocking, mavripanos is full of mistakes

Wow just wow,
imagine if we had put in a competent bid for Ekitike agew years back.
He would now be languishing on the bench on 200k per week or playing his trade in Serie C.

01 Feb 2026 09:03:10
Moyes said he didn't want him.

01 Feb 2026 10:39:54
Moyes, the man Who said Gykores was too slow for the premiership, at £15 m, Moyes the man, who said WH, only need 14 players, whom he flogged to death,

The game today, is all about the squads, Everton and virtually All the teams above us, have far better squads than us, that’s the main reason we are where we are, there’s just no escaping that fact

01 Feb 2026 11:13:01
He said the same about Morgan Rogers, remember we were linked with him about 12m, remember when he scuppered the Alex Scott deal, he also didn't want Duran in the Jan before he left. Long list of players he got so wrong and ended up with rubbish instead like, jwp, cornet, vlasic, augerd, ings, phillips.

The 2 Daves made a real mess of this club every step of the way they got things wrong.

31 Jan 2026 20:42:18
We are on our way home from the game, and for the first time feel Nuno was at fault today. Pablo is NOT a goal scorer, but the man puts a massive shift in. We didn't understand why Wilson didn't come on for Pablo. Today, we could've have scored 4 or 5, but again - crossed in the box done us.

Also, Cucurella caused a fair bit of the trouble at the end. He appeared to stick his head into the chest of Adama. I haven't seen it in tv, so I may be wrong.
Finally, if we play like this every week, we WILL survive.

31 Jan 2026 21:59:40
For the first time? Starting irving and soucek in midfield against brentford and leeds? Taking wilson off while on a hatrick against Bournemouth, then dropping him for 3-4 games playing Paqueta up top? Lost count of how many games he's made negative subs that have cost us points.

JCT is guna miss the next 3 games, even if we play as well as we have Kilman will mess it up, players lose confidence when he comes on, useless, 45m and 20m+ wages over a 6 year deal. I wouldn't pay 4.5m for him.

31 Jan 2026 22:12:41
So he wasn't at fault against Leeds, Brentford, Brighton, Bournemouth, Liverpool, there is no way you can honestly believe he has got his selections and tactics spot on in every game this must be a wind up post or complete delusion

01 Feb 2026 02:43:41
I agree Redrobbo, but today we felt he had time to amend the error, but he chose not to. People make mistakes, I am sure we all realise that, but today he could’ve/should’ve gone back to what worked in the first half.

Being on the front foot caused major problems for Chelsea, Nuno must’ve realised that, and that is why today the fault lays at his door.

01 Feb 2026 10:47:11
Brooking, I don’t disagree with. Some of your comments, but for me it’s simple, Chelsea could change the game bringing on fantastic players, we can’t, therein is your problem

WH cannot compete in this league, with Sullivans Hand on the tiller, that’s become as clear as day

Blame Nuno all you want, and it’s fair critisism, but could Pep or Arteta, do any better with this squad, ? That’s my view

01 Feb 2026 19:17:50
Next weeks fixture v Burnley is now a MUST win.

31 Jan 2026 19:51:07
Im sick of nuno, he's got to go, bloke dosnt know how to hold a lead

Agree2 Disagree0

31 Jan 2026 20:36:21
I totally agree. Nuno is crap. He has no idea how to hold a lead. His solution is to take his foot off the pedal and throw on more defenders. Absolutely useless. The writing was on the wall as soon as he put Kilman on. We have the players to get us out of this disaster, but not the coach.

31 Jan 2026 19:33:12
Ref sh*t all game. Nuno lost this bringing Kilman on negative invite pressure.

Agree2 Disagree0

31 Jan 2026 19:46:57
We are a team full of bottle jobs, yes we played well in first half but that counts for nothing and now todibo the best of our terrible cbs is banned for 3 games

31 Jan 2026 19:51:57
It's now called the Kilman effect. Nuno s substitution have been poor since he became mamanagee

31 Jan 2026 20:11:14
Dont think the players bottle it, that 442 works until you run out of legs. Nuno invited pressure its mentality you go 3 at the back and bring on a player like Kilman, suddenly your backs to the wall defending panick stations that's the message it sends to the team.

Potts, magassa, traore, wilson all would have been better options than Kilman.

Mavro getting smashed in the face to the ground for their equaliser should have been a freekick.

Mental that slighest touch on their player they get a free kick ours get wiped out nothing. Clear shirt pull by fofana when taty would of been through, one of many yellow cards that were not given.

31 Jan 2026 20:14:46
The Kilman effect🙃, their subs changed the game but ours lost it. Fofana given far too much space, but the change to 5 at the back really killed us, trying to defend a lead for 45 mins and removing any attackers who can hold the ball up was tactical ineptitude of the highest order, on a par with Loopy and Potter.

31 Jan 2026 20:22:40
Robbo, bottle jobs is harsh ….take the positives that the performance and team spirit is so much better. They had quality players they could take off the bench. There was very little difference to the 2nd half here than at Tottenham, Chelsea just have better players man for man.

31 Jan 2026 20:28:51
Amazes me we continue with kilman. Sorry everyone, but he is a disaster.

Take nothing away from Chelsea because they are flying under the new manager. Tobidos effort goes in, its game over, so no disgrace today.

Any other day this would be 3 points in the bag. Nuno has got us playing better but if he doesn't have the players on the bench what can he do?

Yes we lost, but let's look at the bright side. We could easily have won against a good Chelsea side

31 Jan 2026 20:45:16
I have flip flopped with regards to my opinion of Nuno through his time here. Yes I think he should the blame tonight. We were comfortable until their first goal came against the run of play, and his change was possibly the worst he could make, and it so proved. Losing Todibo for 3 games is a massive blow.

But having said all that the last 2 matches and the first half today does give me hope that there is a chance. I didn’t see the first half last week but thought we were really good the first half today the way we played the first half was a far cry from what we saw v Fulham, Wolves and Brighton not so long ago.

31 Jan 2026 23:07:11
18 points we have lost this season from winning positions tells me that bottle jobs is not a harsh comment Dabber, it repeats itself again and again

01 Feb 2026 01:20:00
Robbo, so true. ‘Bottle job’ is being polite.

01 Feb 2026 01:54:24
The players didn’t bottle it today, the manager made us take our foot off Chelseas neck by replacing Pablo with Kilman. He should have put on Potts or Magassa to enable Fernandes to link up with the attackers and keep us on the front foot.

01 Feb 2026 09:44:14
Yes, it was Nuno who bottled it, but where was the defiant fight on the pitch when it became obvious that he’d cocked it up yet again? We rolled over far too easily.

From a commanding position of 2 nil up, it took just 50 mins to dismantle us. Not everyone was at fault, but we gave up too easily. However, you’re right — Nuno was the main culprit.

01 Feb 2026 13:50:42
REDROB, It’s not the players that are the bottle jobs, they don’t deliberately go out to lose, it’s this effing Manager that’s is the BOTTLE JOB, tries to be bloody clever taking off the players that have put us in front bringing on those in most cases not good enough to start, injuries yes, obviously sub if needed! I think this Manager isn’t fit to manage a PL club! ⚒⚒⚒

01 Feb 2026 23:56:19
Nuno is certainly to blame aswell, but who took the game by the scruff of the neck? Who put thier body on the line? Who kicked players up the ass when they scored thier first goal? Who got stuck in and made it hard for Chelsea? The answer is nobody did

31 Jan 2026 18:26:25
IM a bit stunned let's hope we can keep this going, Chelsea are making many changes 🙏🏻

Agree0 Disagree0

31 Jan 2026 18:55:49
Gonna be difficult 🙏

31 Jan 2026 19:07:26
Despite the result we are so much better than we have been for a long long time. Chelsea are flying at the minute as they showed against a very decent napoli team. If we continue to play like this i am still hopeful

31 Jan 2026 19:08:45
Ref been doing his best, bringing Kilman on awful decision.

31 Jan 2026 19:36:30
Gutted. E
I don’t know how Delap didn’t get booked in the first half as he just kept pushing our players over. The Killman decision was a bad one I thought he should have taken Souchek off and brought on Potts or Magassa. Now Todibo out for 3 matches

31 Jan 2026 19:38:45
Kilman and Traore have cost us more than 3 points today, all subs made us weaker. Really poor from Nuno, Potts, Magassa or Kanye would have helped congested the middle and forced them wide where AWP and Doug absolutely dominated.

31 Jan 2026 19:52:24
Nuno decisions s—- as usual, WTF does he take Bowen off, runs his arse off, Nuno get rid😡😡😡😡Let WH staff take over😡😡⚒⚒⚒⚒

31 Jan 2026 20:30:07
I’m gutted but take the positives. 1st half we were absolutely outstanding and if we continue that form we’ll get enough points to stay up. 2nd half we continued that form until they scored.

Nuno then s**t himself and reverted to type of trying to defend a lead when we were proving attacking was the better form of defence. Chelsea are a quality team and the manager not our players bottled it

31 Jan 2026 18:09:46
Have to say I think we have been brilliant so far. As much as Pablo may not have the quality of Paqueta he more than makes up for it with his effort. AWB has been brilliant. Let's hope we can hold onto this
