I'm reading on some sites that we seem to be approaching managers that are already at other teams, like Parker and Marko Silva. Apparently Kretinski's idea. I find this hard to believe and could be more fake news released to placate the fans but if it is true it would be a step in the right direction.

Hammer-D

1.) 23 Sep 2025 19:47:36
Kretinsky is not frightened to pay another club an exit fee for a manager, whilst to Sullivan, paying an exit fee for another manger, is like breaking the holy grail so maybe some persuading has been coming on, we shall see

2.) 23 Sep 2025 20:47:28
Any chance Bellamy?
Definitely a positive option for me.

3.) 24 Sep 2025 07:30:40
If we tie two things together:

1. That David Sullivan really does care about West Ham (supposedly, him and Dave "Longfella" Hunt bonded over a shared love of West Ham, and Ampika has been pretty vociferous in her defence of this via her socials last few days)

2. That Krentinsky is here and influencing the process after two f**k ups by Sullivan in hiring.

Just maybe the 'lady could be for turning'?

4.) 24 Sep 2025 09:36:57
NOT of utmost importance to Kretinsky 1.5% of his total wealth is invested in WH, he has intervened to save his small investment being wiped out, principally by Brady, who’s ideas where influencing Sullivan too much

HE is a million miles more astute than Sullivan, personally I would like to see him take the club over, which he could do easily

IF WH drop clubs value sinks below the radar, presently 8 /5 to be relegated

5.) 24 Sep 2025 12:11:22
Come on lads, we need a CEO and a Director of Football before a permanent appointment of a head coach. Ain’t going to happen though.

6.) 24 Sep 2025 14:42:15
Exactly Tin it ain’t going to happen! So we have to make do with next best and try and get a decent manager which probably ain’t going to happen either!

7.) 24 Sep 2025 18:56:04
We aren't going to get anyone decent let's face it no manager worth his salt will want to work with the squad we have they will just end up leaving with a tarnished reputation, we have missed loads of opportunities to kick on, the board have proven time again how inept they are and they way they treat people is disgusting, welcome to wear ham Mr dyche!

8.) 24 Sep 2025 19:33:10
I can’t disagree with that but much as I would like them to sell up and P.O they are not going to.
I really hope you are not right regarding Dyche. Nuno ain’t a great long term bet but he’s got to be better than that c**t

18 Sep 2025 20:43:41
Just read on claret and Hugh that they had an investor yesterday interested in buying all or most of Gold's shares.
So apparently Karen Brady decides to show him around the Rush Green facilities ???
WTF was she thinking, this will really impress an investor ?

Hammer-D

1.) 18 Sep 2025 21:14:40
Because it’s the only thing West Ham own ?

2.) 19 Sep 2025 09:28:36
They are not interested in the. Club they just want to buy the portakabins, there’s a lot of them there, WH happy to sell them, players have been asked to bring their own tents to change in

3.) 19 Sep 2025 10:01:22
Now that made me smile. ?

10 May 2025 10:58:54
I keep seeing Ramsdale being sited as a potential buy for West Ham at 20 million.
Is there any truth in this and if so, I take it this would be a choice of Sullivan.
I think we would be mad to buy a keeper that is probably a step down or side step at best on what we have already.

Hammer-D

1.) 10 May 2025 11:38:50
There is truth in this, but WH can do a lot better, and for less money

2.) 10 May 2025 13:35:37
Further to the above post, Salthouse pushing Atabolu Gk Freiburg, his client, as mentioned previously, he’s a good Gk coming up 23, , personally I’d take him in front of Ramsdale now 27, , plus he will cost less, and wages a bit less, Atabolu not hit his peak yet, FOR ME, this position is very important, to stop goals going in, is as important as to score them, just my opinion

3.) 10 May 2025 19:52:49
This is my own opinion. Ramsdale is certain to be a WeJ player next season.

14 Jun 2024 19:32:21
It seems we are in for a Colombian striker called Jhon Arias. Says on C&H signing imminent and should sign for around £11 Million in the next few days.
It seems slightly different to the usual rumour this seems more certain

Hammer-D

1.) 14 Jun 2024 20:37:32
This kid Jhon Arias is some player. Very very highly rated Colombian. The team next season will have a very exciting look to it if this continues

2.) 15 Jun 2024 09:05:57
A right footer too, which makes a change.

31 Jan 2024 20:39:05
Not sure if this is common knowledge but just seen that Liverpool are considering moving in for Tim Steidten as their head of recruitment.
If true it is very worrying

Hammer-D

1.) 31 Jan 2024 23:06:31
Discussed below.

2.) 01 Feb 2024 07:04:46
They've agreed a deal with XABI ALONSO tot ake over at the end of the season when KLOPP goes so guess who is next on the hit list especially as the DIRECTOR of FOOTBALL is also leaving? If our let lose him because of our sheer incompetence during transfer windows, then am done with these clowns

3.) 01 Feb 2024 07:50:36
I get what you mean Daisy, it's incredible. What do we reckon Paqueta has the same mysterious long term calf injury that cornet had. All these poor signings who moyes wanted!

4.) 01 Feb 2024 11:44:56
Cheers Tinny I didn’t notice that ?

5.) 01 Feb 2024 12:14:37
No problem. We’re all guilty of missing stuff. ??

01 Dec 2025 06:31:15
Slightly apt the day after we sadly lost one of our greatest ever players. A captain who had all the qualities needed for that role. Hard working, courageous, motivational and helped massively with team spirit.
Sadly our current captain has none of those qualities with the exception of hard working. Bowen form has dipped massively the last few weeks, not sure is this is linked to his captaincy role. Somehow I doubt it because he is not acting like a captain. Paqueta was a disgrace yesterday but Bowen should have been doing all he could to get the fool away from that situation. Instead he just looked on.
I just wondered if people agree and who they would prefer to see as captain. On current form the only players who could be in with a shout are Fernandez Potts or Areola. AWB on his previous performances could be but not sure he shows those qualities. I'm not keen on goalies being captain simply because of their distance from the action. I would go for Potts as he shows maturity above his years but will probably get shot down for suggesting that.

Hammer-D

1.) 01 Dec 2025 10:31:51
I think we need 11 new players first, whoever is captain won't inspire these losers, if one of our greatest players deaths doesn't inspire them to put in a performance then nothing will, wholesale changes needed, nobody in that squad is safe at the moment

2.) 01 Dec 2025 11:42:11
Nothing will change until we get shot of the circus act masquerading as a board of directors. A different manager and bringing in new players won’t change anything. This club needs an entire reboot, with wholesale changes in the way it’s run. It’s going down the toilet and yesterday Paqueta pulled the chain.

3.) 01 Dec 2025 12:13:05
Interesting how they sent out young Fernandes out to do the post match Sky interview yesterday rather than the Captain ….

I think you all make really valid points. The club is in a mess and needs a complete overhaul. I hate to say it but maybe going down forcing the tosspot owners into a fire sale of both club and mercenary players wouldn’t be a bad thing. Of the current squad the only ones I’d keep for the Championship in the hope of a swift return would be Fernandes, Potts, Scarles, Mougassa, Summerville, Areola, KWP and AWB the rest can and probably would do one ….

4.) 01 Dec 2025 13:58:04
Dabber, What no Bowen? ⚒⚒⚒

5.) 01 Dec 2025 14:51:10
Sadly I agree with a lot of the points above and I am hopeful that the clowns who run the circus will be gone. I’m not sure about Bowen he does try and has ability but has been rubbish of late. Maybe taking the captaincy away may allow him to concentrate on his game.
Other names I would possibly add to that list Dabber could be Todibo who seems much better recently and I actually thought Guilherme played pretty well when he came on he just seems to lack a bit of confidence and self belief. If they were to sell him I would have a few clauses in any deal because I think he may possibly turn out to be a really decent player.

I still think we need to introduce some of the youngsters like fearing and Kante as they can’t do worse than some of our players

6.) 01 Dec 2025 15:09:06
The captain needs to be Fernandes. He was the one 'trying' to stop Pacquetta and 'trying' to speak to the referee.

7.) 01 Dec 2025 16:09:17
I love Bowen Chelms but I’m making the assumption that if we go down he would be sold anyway. I’ve never thought he was Captain material apart from the fact he always tries hard. If we go down I’m with Brooking and would give it to Fernandes. HD I also think Todibo has improved under Nuno but again like Bowen think he will be on his toes if we get relegated

8.) 01 Dec 2025 16:34:36
Guys, the reason Fernandes tried to intervene was because he’s Portugese and speaks the same language as Paqueta! He’s far too inexperienced for the captaincy. The ideal man for that job we let go out on loan—Alvarez— because he didn’t agree with the style of football Potter was playing. Anyone with a heartbeat can see Bowen is no captain material, and it’s affecting his play along with the crap tactics employed by the gutless Nuno. We need a new owner, chairman, a football director and a new head coach who isn’t scared of his own shadow. Then we can start talking about a captain and the new players we need to start playing entertaining attacking football. I’m not holding my breath. The club is f*cked.

9.) 01 Dec 2025 17:08:12
@brooking, i was thinking Fernandes could be a good shout, i think he is captain of the u21s for portugal, Potts i think needs to concentrate on establishing himself as a prem player.

Personally i never thought bowen should have been given the captaincy, all he needs to be focused on is putting the ball in the back of the net. Although due to how terrible our squad mangement has been we were pretty short of options.

Maybe Cress should have been given another year would have taken a bit of pressure off for who ever the captain is.

All that said the captaincy issue is pretty small compared to all the other problems at the club.

10.) 01 Dec 2025 17:52:24
I again agree we have bigger problems than the captaincy however Rome wasn’t built in a day. New ownership and director of football isn’t going to happen anytime soon and as s**t as his tactics are sacking Nuno is probably a slightly worse decision than giving him more time. The quicker fix is new players in 4 weeks and releasing pressure from our best player by relieving him of the burden of captaincy

11.) 02 Dec 2025 19:33:58
As you say Dabber and Tin we all know the problems with the owners but that probably isn't going to go away soon so i'd expect a load of quick fixes again with no long term planning and another load of wasted cash in January, the only way I can see anyone half decent joining is on loan because they have an outside chance of a world Cup squad let's face it we aren't very attractive at the moment

The manager has shown inept boring tactics but again that isn't going to change anytime soon to be honest, I think this will be a long season again and there won't be cash to change it in the summer

12.) 03 Dec 2025 06:22:50
I agree Robbo. The board has brought this on us by its cheap attitude towards coaches. They have always gone for the cheap option—-available (unemployed) coaches. They’re unemployed for a reason, and they’ve always proved to be bad fits for WHU. Weeks ago, many on here were forecasting problems, with relegation a real possibility. Nothing really has changed.

13.) 03 Dec 2025 18:14:27
Unfortunately it takes a certain type of manager to handle these lying owners, ones that are not afraid to stand up to them and do things their own way. We’ve had 2 in the last 10-15 years and that's Moyes and Fat Sam. Because of their ability to avoid being “yes men” both had a degree of success. This was why I personally didn’t mind Moyes. The football wasn’t great to watch but at least we had security in the PL and were playing in Europe. I know a lot of people will say Moyes is to blame for the position we’re in now but that's just unfair. When Moyes left Sullivan replaced him with a lesser standard manager who along with Steidten spent all of the Rice money and more on substandard signings. Look at Everton now, flying ….Shearer was right, we needed to be careful what we wished for

22 Nov 2025 14:06:34
Wow interesting line up 3 /5 at the back no Summerville. Guilherme starts as does Igor .

Hammer-D

1.) 22 Nov 2025 15:53:09
Seems to be working so far. Nuno has the midas touch

2.) 22 Nov 2025 16:35:53
The question has to be asked:
Why on earth has he taken Wilson off so early? It’s changed the game, and not for the better.

3.) 22 Nov 2025 16:45:42
The Midas touch? More like the Titanic touch! He’s cost us points by his changes. Unbelievable. From a commanding position we are struggling to hold on.

4.) 22 Nov 2025 17:03:05
Couldn’t agree more TL, we were in control until that decision. Nuno cost us the 2 points today but thank god for Areola!

5.) 22 Nov 2025 19:10:09
Areola MOM ???⚒⚒⚒

6.) 23 Nov 2025 09:05:40
Any other thoughts from posters on this?
Is there any point in us looking for a supposed goal scorer / Striker when Wilson scores 2 good goals, then fxxxxxxx Nuno takes him off???does that man know how to manage, surprised he didn’t replace Areola for having such a good name! I now believe anybody almost with knowledge could manage, I am now very unhappy with his management!
Forget signing potential goal scorers while Nuno
is there as he subs them when they do what they’ve been bought for ????out out out Nuno unless you change tactics??⚒⚒⚒

7.) 23 Nov 2025 12:16:41
IMO that’s a little bit of an over reaction. Buying a player like Wilson who by all accounts can’t last 90 minutes is not the best idea, but in fairness he has done far better than I suspected he would. He’s already scored more than most, of previous strikers when you take into account the amount of minutes on the pitch. I didn’t see the game but by the highlights you (Chelmsford, ) and everyone else are correct that decision was dreadful. But much of that is due to bringing on a far inferior player like Souchek who has zero ability at holding the ball up. But he scores lots of one yard tap ins. It is definitely a downside in Nuno’s game plan that will go ultra defensive once in the lead and maybe he should learn the attack is often the best form of defence.

8.) 23 Nov 2025 12:43:19
Chelmsford,
You make a very good point. I believe Nuno has personally cost us 8 points so far by his reckless team selections / tactics / substitutions. One minute we think he’s hit the right formula, and then he craps himself and tries to close up shop, with dire consequences. By all accounts, this was a habit he had at Leeds and Forest, much to the chagrin of those clubs’ supporters. I haven’t spoken to Spurs supporters. A leopard never changes it’s spots. It seems we have a coach who has no nerve, despite the fact he’s a very nice bloke!

9.) 23 Nov 2025 12:48:04
Not Leeds. Of course I meant Wolves! It’s my age (as you will understand, Chelmsford! ?)

10.) 23 Nov 2025 15:20:56
Hammer-D, not an over reaction. at all imo. We didn’t buy Wilson he was free transfer to my knowledge, but does it matter posters have been repeatedly saying striker, striker, then we get a guy no matter about his age who goes and starts scoring then Nuno brings him off?? both goals were terrific, try to watch if you haven’t seen them, we paid £17m for Fulkrug who can’t wait to get away and isn’t one bit interested, Wilson wants to get to 100 goals (92now) and back into the England squad so is ambitious even at his age until others come along!
I saw the game live, 2-0 such a dangerous lead and if he doesn’t know that he bloody well should, 3-0 yes then maybe relax a little! He bought on Soucek etc because we were getting battered after Wilson come off, it was one way traffic, it was coming all the time, then clown Kilman plays hand tennis in the area, very clever?which lit the fire for B’mouth, they smelt blood? We’re going nowhere with Nuno, as TL says a Leopard doesn’t change his spots! Out out asap! Sorry Dab if you don’t agree mate, but all about opinions! ⚒⚒⚒

11.) 23 Nov 2025 16:19:42
I admit I wasn’t happy with the acquisition of Wilson, but there’s now no doubting he is a confirmed striker of quality. Those two goals yesterday were a pleasure to watch, and the second was a piece of artistry. The way he brought the ball down on his chest and hooked it goalwards was nothing short of sublime. To then drag him off and replace him up front with Soucek was criminal, and it showed. Nuno simply threw his hands up. A disastrous decision which Bournemouth took full advantage of. The players weren’t to blame, and those who are saying, “we would have happily taken a point before KO” are ignoring the fact that we were comfortably on our way to all three points. Then Nuno simply bottled it and threw away our advantage. Unforgivable stupidity.

18 Nov 2025 19:31:26
I think we'd all agree it's been a pretty crap last couple of years at WHU. It is good to see that a bit of harmony has broken out, hopefully it will last and we will kick on and move up the league a bit, although that's definitely no certainty.
Good to see a bit of unity behind a new manager whilst also a general consensus that the short man at the top and his lady side-kick are on borrowed time and the route of a lot of our evils.
I for one absolutely hated Potter for his anemic brand of football and he basically seemed completely out of his depth. I felt he should have been sacked a lot earlier than he was. I could go on for ages about his failings, but won't.
But one person I feel I was totally wrong about was Tim Steidten. At the time, when he brought in all the players he did, I thought he did a good job but hindsight I feel time has shown how wrong I was and the guy was just a fraud or charlatan. As we go into another transfer window it seems so many of the players he brought in are now needed to be moved and are just proving impossible to do so because as with Moyes mistakes in the past we are stuck with players who are on really high wages, old, injury prone or basically not good enough. I appreciate that, that infamous transfer window seems to have been divided out that some were Loppy's picks some were TS picks and some were Sully picks but I think the buck does stop with him for that general window and it pains me to say it that 2 of the only successful picks, Summerville and AWB were actually Sully choices.
I hope we do get a new DOF and hopefully we won't go for someone who seems more interested in having his picture taken on planes with new signings and just get someone who earns his money and stays out the limelight.
It will be interesting to see if Marx Hann manages to get any decent players in. With Sully in the background I doubt it.

Hammer-D

1.) 19 Nov 2025 11:54:55
I agree with you Hammer-D. As much as I detest Sullivan the one time he did put his hand in his pocket Steidten flushed it down the toilet ….its so much easier spending somebody else’s money than your own. Once bitten twice shy as they say and sadly this is why transfer windows since have been utter torture for us fans

2.) 20 Nov 2025 22:09:52
Why don't we just revert to the old style of the manager saying the players he wants and the board buy them. It’d save time and then we’d know who is accountable.

3.) 21 Nov 2025 15:07:20
The idea of a DOF and a properly run club with a proper chairman not the wide boy we currently have. It creates an identity and a style of football your club wants to play. Sort of similar when Lyall took over from greenwood. Look at the way Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth have lost their managers and best players to other teams and it is the DOF who will be in charge of hiring the new personnel. These teams have all been massively better and more successful than we have the last few years especially when you take into account they are smaller than us. All new managers and new players don’t necessarily work out but there will be someone else as a potential replacement in mind rather than the circus we have had the last few years with Loppy and all his staff and players to be replaced by Potter and his crew to be replaced by Nuno.

I do think it is a much better idea than the joke we have although it does fall down when you get a rubbish DOF like Tim Steidten

Wow just seen the line up. A bit of a shake up. Seems most who were on international duty are rested and benched. I suppose he is thinking we have another match on Friday night so that may have played a part in his team selection
Glad to see it is not all over for Scarles, Todibo and Irving.
Let's see how they do

1.) 20 Oct 2025 21:10:30
All 3 bloody shocking, that's how they’ve done! I’m gobsmacked! He’s totally underestimated Brentford, so many players playing in the wrong positions and better players on the bench …daren’t Kilman head a ball?! ??

2.) 20 Oct 2025 21:10:42
We can play Wednesday Saturday or Thursday Sunday so it’s no big deal ?

3.) 20 Oct 2025 22:05:53
Worst I've EVER seen us play and I'm 56 years old, so have been treated to some proper dog eggs over the years, but this? THIS? Everything is wrong, every single thing from the players to the tea lady is wrong at the club. Even the ball boys were S**t. ?

Markro I watched the highlights on YouTube a few days ago and to be honest I thought they were really struggling to pad out a 10 minute video as the one I saw didn’t have him scoring many goals and was the odd tackle or pass……… That’s not to say I don’t think he is worth a punt because how many times have we seen the opposite regarding YouTube footage. I do agree with you regarding Guilherme. I was batting on for ages about give him his chance but it hasn’t happened under 3 managers. So maybe he doesn’t have what it takes, would love him to prove me wrong. I get the feeling it is a confidence thing with him. Being so young with a big price tag on his shoulders and having to settle into a different culture, climate and language must be a lot to deal with for him. I was a bit young but vaguely remember Peter Marinello going from Hibs to Arsenal in the early 70s. He was touted as the new George Best but he nose-dived and didn’t have much of a career thereafter

The last thing I want to see is a decent youngster have his career ruined by going into the team too early. Look at Scarles, imo about the only good thing potter did during his tenure was give him his chance and generally he did brilliant then after numerous games he had a mare and was not seen again. Nuno picked him but played him on the wrong side and consequently was poor and then got a bad injury. My personal opinion is if you are good enough you’re old enough and You will make the grade. You have to learn things the hard way in any work, sometimes by mistakes. So let’s stop molly-coddling the youngsters, get them on the bench and start to blood them. Otherwise they will be making their debuts at 30

Chelmsford, Nuno definitely subbed Wilson too early against Bournemouth costing us a much needed win. Which is proving even more important as it looks like not only Paqueta will be missing but also Summerville. A good player who seems extremely lightweight on the injury front. But I think it is a given that Wilson can only do about 60-70 minutes, we have to blame the chairman for that.
Regarding Watkins I think he would be great but as Robbo says next to no chance of that happening. Not only would his wages be extortionate but many other clubs would be ahead of us in the pecking order IMO
