I keep seeing Ramsdale being sited as a potential buy for West Ham at 20 million.
Is there any truth in this and if so, I take it this would be a choice of Sullivan.
I think we would be mad to buy a keeper that is probably a step down or side step at best on what we have already.
1.) 10 May 2025 11:38:50
There is truth in this, but WH can do a lot better, and for less money
2.) 10 May 2025 13:35:37
Further to the above post, Salthouse pushing Atabolu Gk Freiburg, his client, as mentioned previously, he’s a good Gk coming up 23, , personally I’d take him in front of Ramsdale now 27, , plus he will cost less, and wages a bit less, Atabolu not hit his peak yet, FOR ME, this position is very important, to stop goals going in, is as important as to score them, just my opinion
3.) 10 May 2025 19:52:49
This is my own opinion. Ramsdale is certain to be a WeJ player next season.
14 Jun 2024 19:32:21
It seems we are in for a Colombian striker called Jhon Arias. Says on C&H signing imminent and should sign for around £11 Million in the next few days.
It seems slightly different to the usual rumour this seems more certain
1.) 14 Jun 2024 20:37:32
This kid Jhon Arias is some player. Very very highly rated Colombian. The team next season will have a very exciting look to it if this continues
2.) 15 Jun 2024 09:05:57
A right footer too, which makes a change.
31 Jan 2024 20:39:05
Not sure if this is common knowledge but just seen that Liverpool are considering moving in for Tim Steidten as their head of recruitment.
If true it is very worrying
1.) 31 Jan 2024 23:06:31
Discussed below.
2.) 01 Feb 2024 07:04:46
They've agreed a deal with XABI ALONSO tot ake over at the end of the season when KLOPP goes so guess who is next on the hit list especially as the DIRECTOR of FOOTBALL is also leaving? If our let lose him because of our sheer incompetence during transfer windows, then am done with these clowns
3.) 01 Feb 2024 07:50:36
I get what you mean Daisy, it's incredible. What do we reckon Paqueta has the same mysterious long term calf injury that cornet had. All these poor signings who moyes wanted!
4.) 01 Feb 2024 11:44:56
Cheers Tinny I didn’t notice that ?
5.) 01 Feb 2024 12:14:37
No problem. We’re all guilty of missing stuff. ??

Just watched the highlights of the two champions league semi finals. Whilst watching I noticed a lot of the players names were familiar and some from some time back.
I checked the average age of the inter squad and it is just under 30.
I'm not advocating keeping our dads army and we do need younger fitter players but it just shows with the right team spirit and manager you can still get success with a number of oldies
1.) 08 May 2025 09:14:50
I watched both games this week. Very entertaining, attacking football, especially the Barca/Inter match. It’s what the sport is all about. End to end stuff and none of this continuous side and back passing which is prevalent in possession based football. Excellent adverts for the game.
2.) 08 May 2025 23:59:54
Is it a coincidence or the last 3 managers the POISON DWARF has employed are very defense minded the man has zero ambition it's all about survival then survival and if that doesn't work then survival and until the club is sold to an owner/owners with ambition we will all still be moaning till we are blue in the face about the DWARF and his cronie LADY PENOLOPE needing to go as far away as possible from WHUFC.COYI
3.) 09 May 2025 12:33:55
While I dislike the board as much as the next man, Sully not wanting us to do well I think is incorrect. He does want us to do well for pure financial means, we are worth untold millions more if we are competing at the top end of the table opposed to just surviving. The answer is he hasn't a clue, he is not a football person and never will be, unfortunately things conspire to make him believe he is the oracle, like him only wanting Potter to be given 6 months and him being proved correct.
03 May 2025 13:40:58
Anyone bold enough to make a prediction against the Spuds.
Surely we must beat this mob as they have been so predictable and will be preoccupied with making sure they reach the europa cup final.
I normally moan because Potter is sooo negative but this may actually be a game where his negative tactics will prevail as spurs are the polar opposite to us in that they throw everything at it and just get picked off by near enough everyone
1.) 03 May 2025 14:46:01
We have no heart and are so bad at the back the pace in spurs team will undo us I'd sat 2 nil to spurs can't see us winning again this season
2.) 03 May 2025 15:01:22
Just a gut feeling, but I think we might struggle against Spurs and Man Utd, but maybe beat Forest. Still, what do I know? I might be (probably) totally wrong.
3.) 03 May 2025 17:30:23
Well I’m hardly the right person to be taking tips off of and I did think we would win 2 weeks ago and we didn’t so I suppose it’s watch this space.
4.) 03 May 2025 18:38:31
Spurs rested a lot of players agaisnt Liverpool for their cup game. So they might do the same against us. Hopefully they have 1 eye on that game although it's against a team I've never heard of.
If they do play a strong team and we get into them, they won't fancy it.
Same goes for Man u, both don't really have anything to play for in the league.
Forrest might still be playing for a place in the champions league so that's the toughest of our last 4 for me. Ipswich might want to put on a bit of display final game in the Prem.
Just a matter if potter can motivate them and maybe get the team selection right from the beginning of games might help.
5.) 03 May 2025 19:48:36
I think a good start is imperative but under Potter I can not remember one single game where we have started well, even his first game against Villa we were rubbish for the first 15 minutes
6.) 03 May 2025 20:13:49
We were 1-0 up after ten minutes at Villa Park I was there…
7.) 03 May 2025 21:30:27
FairPlay ? maybe I’m being a bit knit-picky
I seem to remember we didn’t start the match great but then after we got the first goal played really well until Villa scored and then played well again after they scored their second
8.) 03 May 2025 23:17:48
For the Spurs game I’d like to see
Areola
AWB
Emerson (or Scarles)
Todibo
Mavropanos
Alvarez
Soler
Paqueta
Kudus
Bowen
Füllkrug
I bet my pension this won’t be the starting XI. My guess is he’ll play Kilman, JWP and Soucek.
9.) 04 May 2025 08:54:47
I’ve seen Nick on claret and booze railing against Killman and favoring mavarapanos over him. I don’t get it. Granted killman has cost us far too much money and I will say he has lost a lot of form but the Greek fella is an accident waiting to happen.
I saw his last rant saying that killman is one of the main reasons for why we are so bad because has been ever present. Mmmmmmm not sure about that as AWB has been too so that scuppers that reasoning and for me AWB is Hammer of the Year.
IMHO all our defenders are suffering because of the nonexistent midfield
10.) 04 May 2025 10:21:01
I think it’s a toss up between Mavropanos and Kilman. They both have their faults. I don’t agree that Kilman is the reason our defence is so bad. My reason for leaving him out is purely to try a different combination. There’s no question that we paid far too much for Kilman and I suppose the real test would be to ask myself which of Kilman, Mavropanos and Todibo I’d sell first. My choice for selling would be Kilman, but there is no way we’d get a figure anywhere near what we paid for him. I’d retain Dino as he’s a perfect squad player, and Todibo has greater potential. The main point is leaving out Laurel and Hardy in the midfield. They are the reason we are playing so bad and losing so much ground. It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to see that.
11.) 04 May 2025 10:44:38
These people post that kind of content for views, I assume the more bizzarre the more interaction it gets which correlates to more income.
I can’t believe anyone pays any attention to those kind of media outlets.
12.) 04 May 2025 11:02:54
I feel the team will give us a major performance today, based on fear. The team will know if they do not put the maximum in today, then the fans could turn hostile.
13.) 04 May 2025 12:53:58
Five at the back again! ?
14.) 04 May 2025 13:55:41
There again, not impressed with the Spurs starting XI, so who knows?
15.) 05 May 2025 01:26:44
Todibo and mavropanic are our best 2 pairing killman is shockingly poor
15 Mar 2025 08:34:52
Does anyone have any predictions for today? We definitely seem to do better away from home and when not expected to win, which I think is the case here. So here's hoping.
1.) 15 Mar 2025 15:02:57
Hard one to call, when I've seen Everton under Moyes they've actually pressed quite aggressively which we hadn't seen under moyes since his first season or 2.
2.) 15 Mar 2025 17:02:41
All in all I think a fair result, we should have added a second, but Everton hard to beat, we could have conceded a penalty, VAR, put it right, one of our three problems, is improving, we are looking better at the back, midfield is the the same no pace, but up front, if we had strikers, we win this today, that’s been the same whole season
3.) 15 Mar 2025 17:45:06
Absolutely encouraging signs and lots better at the back. The midfield and attack needs complete overhaul in the summer
4.) 15 Mar 2025 17:56:30
With the lack of pace in midfield we can't sacrifice one of the CBs for a striker or we'd get cut open time and time again. I have a bad feeling we will go another window and not address it.
5.) 15 Mar 2025 18:00:26
Also thought Jwp should have been taken off pretty useless when it's back to the wall defending both rodriguez or alvarez would have been more effective and given us a little bit more bite and energy in there.
6.) 15 Mar 2025 18:16:27
Such a shame they didn’t hold on for the win as would have been nice to stick it to the likes of Sutton and Merson.
7.) 15 Mar 2025 18:31:06
Hammer D, think you have to accept, we are in the correct league position, IMO Potter has got the maximum, from the players he has at his disposal, that’s it in a nutshell, Paqueta will be a big loss financially. If the worst happens, but he won’t be missed on the field, there’s quite a few that’s got to go, it’s what we bring in, that will decide next season
8.) 15 Mar 2025 23:08:55
A point away from home is a good point. To date, under Potter we’ve won 3, draws 2, lost 5. Although we’ve lost 5 no-one has given us the runaround, which is good news. There will be LOTS of horse trading at the end of the season, but for once, I trust the manager.
9.) 17 Mar 2025 12:06:48
We football fans are notoriously very fickle. I was delighted when JWP was shipped out on deadline day as I felt he added very little to the team. Since his return I think he has played very well and given us a degree of control in the midfield as opposed to the 3 or 4 headless chickens playing there prior to his return. He’s rarely given away the ball and we are now a threat again from corners and free kicks. To me its a clear indication we now have a manager who knows how to play a system which gets the best out of the players at his disposal.
11 Feb 2025 20:34:13
Someone mentioned the ironcast Graham Potter interview. I just had a watch of it. I have to say I thought Graham Potter came across very well, a far cry from a lot of managers trotting out well worn cliches without actually saying anything. IMHO a breath of fresh air
1.) 11 Feb 2025 21:04:25
I agree, most eloquent manager we have had in a long time, hope his positivity spreads to the players and to the supporters. We have had a few great atmospheres at the LS, be great if everyone got behind the team and manager.
03 Dec 2024 21:13:34
Not quite sure how we are losing this. We should be at least3.1 up .
1.) 03 Dec 2024 22:08:58
I was quite vociferous about giving Lop a chance earlier in the season but it's clear now that he can't get a consistent tune out of the squad. Oh, now it IS 3-0. Can't see any way back for him now. Sacked in the morning and Moyes back by Thursday lol!
16 May 2025 08:28:07
Joyful I think that is known by most of us, but it seems to be the same story every season. Even last season from memory Killman and Guilherme were the only players signed early and then a mad rush at the end of the window. But this time they are suggesting so many players are leaving I can see us ending up with a very small squad again. I know we have some coming back from loan but who’s to say they are up to it or won’t be loaned again. Hopefully they are up to it and like new signings
15 May 2025 18:47:18
He looked pretty decent in that game. The money sounds about right, which is why we will offer 5-10 mil
14 May 2025 09:31:13
Salthouse moving cornet on, some other poor so and so’ s might suffer the same as we have, although not many chairman are as stupid and gullible to trust agents…….
08 May 2025 16:28:40
Apologies Joyful I wasn’t having a go, I appreciate you are just relaying what you have been told I didn’t think they were your opinions.
I’m just getting the feeling the manager is a bit deluded and has deluded most of us. Because as I have said before he came across very well in an Iron-Cast pod cast in the early part of his tenure. He said all the right things said he knew what the fans wanted and knew how to provide it. The previous manager was a bundle of nerves twitching and looked like he was having a nervous breakdown so Potter seemed like a breathe of fresh air. I now think all it was, was hot air.
08 May 2025 11:56:28
Potter explaining to Bowen we only play this was as we don’t have the players to play any other way is bull. It’s the only way he seems to know how to set up and play. Think of the embarrassment of riches he must have had at his disposal at Chelsea and he must have played the same way there as I know Chelsea fans who said so.
I do think we can play differently with these players we obviously need to ship some out and get a lot in but I do think it would have been possible. But I think the players are so used to his monotonous style it is becoming ingrained and would be difficult to get back to start to play another way.
Alvarez lazy! For all his faults laziness is not one.
18 May 2025 22:54:42
A win rate worse than Loppy and Avram Grant. I can understand some thought he might be a good manager for us after Loppy but can’t understand why they can’t acknowledge how crap he has been.
Was pleased last week but back to normal this week.
18 May 2025 22:47:14
Stevie I don’t know what you are seeing because I had a look and there was only a few negative comments, even from people who are usually critical. but i wonder if it is more due to some of us feeling completely brow beaten and apathetic. A win rate of 22% is not something we should be cheering about it’s a disgrace, not to mention the boredom on steroids football we are playing. We always get behind the team. But you can feel how demoralised people are in the ground
18 May 2025 22:24:57
Kudus may not have had a good season but at least he tries to make things happen which is more than you can say for the dead wood potter fills his teams with. Another few players that people on here often criticise are Paqueta, Soler and Alvarez, imo these are decent creative and hardworking players. They will probably be leaving at seasons end so unless he gets in some creativity and hard workers to replace them you will get the dross he started the last 2 games with. I don’t think Potter will get the push but he should do, with a dreadful record like he has and the football he has produced so far. We just have to hope the people saying he needs to bring in his own players are right. I fear the worst but hope for the best
18 May 2025 19:43:43
I can’t comment on the game again today, as I gave up my ticket to a mate and didn’t realise it was on sky! Sounds like mixed reviews, sounds like they played well once Bowen scored. Sounds like Guilherme did well in his 10 minute cameo which is promising. One of my basic criticisms from very early on was a complete lack of consistency and that stands. I can’t see them getting rid of Potter at the end of the season so have to hope he can pull a few rabbits out the hat in the transfer window, but find it difficult to trust someone that thinks it is a good idea to start with JWP, Guido, and Soucek plus 5 defenders. I know it worked last week but as you say the manager needs to adjust the team to the way the opposition play. I probably will renew once more, I haven’t as yet but more in hope than expectation.
18 May 2025 14:14:26
Yep well done Palace glad to see them win something at last.
The fact that they won the cup I don’t think would have any affect on any players decision to join us or them at the end of this season as everything about their club is better than ours at the moment.
In relation to Europe yep it is ridiculous and the fact is if Chelsea win the europa conference there will be 10 English teams in Europe next year. I’m a bit old fashioned and would much rather go back to the old European cup, UEFA Cup and Cup winners cup, but they won’t because it’s all about money
