As Sheffield Utd seem to be in a financial tangle, could we not go for Sydie Peck & Harrison Burrows, I wonder?

Yes, but Diouf may stay. And West Ham made a derisory bid for Burrows in June, which didn't go down well.

Fair enough, but Diouf did play a bit vs Pompey & a league game. If we were selling him, would we have played him?
Brentford hadn't really stepped up at that point, but did 2 weeks ago.

Alvarez can do CB as well. Surely, at this level he'd be ok? For Mexico he's been alright.

In all fairness the club only really knew Summerville & Fernandes would be sold. Diouf, we didn't know wanted out until well after the return fr World Cup.
OK, we could have prepared for that scenario (very West Ham not to), but it's only the last 2,5 weeks he's kicked up a fuss & refused to play. This Moroccan guy could be good.
The rest of the bomb squad no one's wanted, & we have only got cash from selling Potts.
I'd say us being more careful, not getting laidened with new players being useless, unshiftable & a burden, might be a good strategy.
It's a total re-set.
Now for the ownership in Sept!!

We are mostly an U21 team, we looked like it tonight esp 1st half. Still eaked out a few chances & actually scored twice. Testament that Fulham just that aint great tbh.
2nd half we went at them and should have gone ahead. Our brain fart moments are still there though & they got the 3rd through Kante handing them the ball. Mav does the same. It's infuriating but the youngsters have to learn. Mav though isn't a youngster.
Taty could have rescued it.
Tbh it would have been slightly generous but 3-3 I would have took.
Can't fault Nuno, I thought he had to start the kids tonight with Millwall in mind.

So sad to hear this :( :(
Fondly remember him from the trashier times of the early 90s but he stood out as a genuine battler & personality. He stuck around coaching too which is also a great testament.
Condolences to his family. Hope the club do a great send off tomorrow !! See you up there Ludo.

I'll say it now, Staveley in.
At least someone with a vision & a want to change a club from top to bottom and get a modern manager in.
Someone that will dare to go at teams.
Kretinsky, by not even being there, is, I'm afraid, increasingly making himself unpopular & has equally presided over our decline.
He does the bare minimum.
We need someone in now that will revolutionise our whole set up & spirit.
Brentford smashed Spurs today.
Hull went at Man Utd.
No respect.... That's what I want to see at my club. For that reason, Staveley in now.
