Now geography takes the stage, IF a player gets to Rush Green by 6-30 pm it’s doable, by 11 pm plus an hour extension if needed, so if they are in or around London , can be done, further away don’t see it
30 Aug 2024 18:12:22
Trevor Chalobah maybe as a replacement for Aguerd 🤷
30 Aug 2024 18:27:02
Would be great, but too late in the day, methinks, No question that Challobah, would have been An obvious target but Aguerd. Messed about so much, Wednesday yesterday and today, it’s making it impossible to move on
30 Aug 2024 12:52:52
Was sort of half expecting WH to make some kind of local move, as time runs out, and from Chelsea see yesterdays post, and CARNEY, (or FOFANA ) would definitely suit us, some might remember him scoring against us last year, when he turned our defence inside out, he has magic this player, , got injured, needs lots of playing time , which he's not getting, Big wages, but can impress no question!WH dithered between the two. Fofana striker but, Carney ATM winger second striker, so WH chose the more adaptable one! Let's hope we can get him, on loan, ( maybe an option?)

We're only allowed 2 loans for the squad, Todibo and Soler in so no other loan place available
30 Aug 2024 16:21:03
DONT look to me for expertise, ,! but rules vary for under 21i I believe
{Ed002's Note - Clearly neither of you understand the rules.}
30 Aug 2024 16:49:51
I admit to ignorance here, please put my fellow WH supporter, right with an interpretation
{Ed002's Note - What you have said is for loans from other PL clubs.}
30 Aug 2024 17:11:45
I'd googled it earlier and it stated that premier league teams can only have a maximum of 2 loan players at the same time however, these rules didn't apply to players under 21 or players classed as homegrown.
So that would mean we could loan chukwuemeka. Exwhuemployee saying unlikely though.
{Ed002's Note - From other PL clubs.}
30 Aug 2024 17:24:52
Stab in the dark, but I think it’s a max of 2 loans that can be registered from other PL clubs.
Presumably we can register more from other sources.
{Ed002's Note - Right.}
30 Aug 2024 18:02:35
Matter cleared up, as that player is an under 21, WH are trying to get Aguerd out to Sociedad, time wise don't see this, Spain an hour in front, it’s 7 pm in San Sebastián, window shuts 11 pm,

Thanks Ed

No striker movement is worrying
30 Aug 2024 12:43:17
I couldn’t agree more. Both our back-up options for Füllkrug aren’t up to the job - Ings and Antonio. It’s looking like nobody wants to take them on. Ings for his wages and Antonio because he’s finished.
30 Aug 2024 13:22:16
BIG POST! APOLOGIES Absolutely agreed on both counts, Ings no more to be said, and we couldn’t let Antonio go, because, we have no one else, at the end, we just have run out of liquid funds to facilitate. Moves, , , Steidten has done a monumental job if we get these two in today Soler and perhaps Carney, this window is a 9:9 it’s historical, WH is a big boat to turn around, but in one window, it’s half way round! Let’s be honest among us all on this site, In my opinion, if Moyes had stayed on we would be down the bottom, and stayed there, I don’t expect us to challenge this season, and NOT being in Europe, less games, less travelling time, will benefit, only one game a week, more or less , more training time, more blending time, IF we do ok this season, the next two windows, will see out 5 players at end of contracts and the addition of strikers THEN watch out for WEST HAM
30 Aug 2024 19:33:20
We are desperately light up front should (touch wood) something happen to FULLKRUG as we all know ANTONIO always picks up an injury which keeps him out for a good few weeks and I know what we are trying on and its BOWEN playing up front which for me he isn't a striker and we lose him out wide which is his best position imo so while it's a good window we have missed a chance to fill the void as you need at least 2 good strikers that can stay fit.COYI

Earlier in the week, WH were apparently in talks with Galatasaray about taking ZAHA on loan, with no options, for this season, The Turkish club were also in talks with Lyon, and the player looks like he's going to France, WH can't get involved with buying him anyway, owing to some kind of taxation problems ?

FOREST, have come to the front tonight for JWP, obviously it can change, but deal put forward at present, may be only dry loan, with no option, obligation or mandatory, it gets all the wages off the books, but if JWP, has a poor season, or Forest don't want him, or in the unlikely hood they get relegated, he will come back to us as seasons end, maybe pointless unless we are desperate ?

CRUNCH time now for Soler he may have to stay at PSG, , no green light as yet, it looks on the cards now that Cornet will go, along with Zouma, Ageuerd is in balance, but Ings can be left out of the squad anyway, chances of him playing are zero, he's been told he's not wanted , leave him out of the squad, so with that said, really no reason why Soler can't come over, don't get it, WH are desperate for more ammunition

Perhaps its about time we should be looking at our youngsters coming through before we loose them to other clubs, if we can't produce home grown players why do we have them, why buy players over 30years old who won't leave when they can't even run its like part of WH pension plan
29 Aug 2024 14:58:00
WH have just received list of 13 players, from Chelsea they want away, most are available on loan the list includes Challobah, and David Fofana, as well as Broja, if Aguerd goes, Challobah looks the man at last ditch for CB, maybe a deal for Fofana, up front if all else fails
{Ed002's Note - Someone is teasing you.}

If you say so, ? But I can print most of the list if you want to see it, thanks
{Ed002's Note - It really doesn't work like that.}
29 Aug 2024 15:35:27
I understand where you are coming from, but I am not privy to how things are actually worked as you obviously are, but with your permission I can, print some names, please advise me ?
{Ed002's Note - Absolutely, no problem. Chelsea have moved on a lot more players than they have added this summer and at least a couple or so will leave tomorrow and then a few more in the coming weeks. They plan on adding a couple as well.}
29 Aug 2024 18:30:40
David Fofana, Carney Chucjaweakah, Challobah, Tyrique, Wiley, Harvey Vale, Marc Guii, Veiga, Sterling, Broja, Chillwell, Matos, Gabriel, (Romeo Lavvia () injured) and three others I don’t know the names of, this was in fact couple of days back, don’t know anything about Chelsea and their incomings and outgoings other than the big news ones,
{Ed002's Note - Impressive. Someone is still teasing you I am afraid.}
29 Aug 2024 21:10:38
If you think so, , everybody, has their own views, but grateful for your Imput anyway Joyful
29 Aug 2024 09:54:05
Ed002 do you see us getting a striker in? Maybe calvert lewin could be one we fo for? Are we interested? Thank you
{Ed002's Note - One has arrived already and it is possible a deal could be done for Tammy Abraham.
Tammy Abraham (S) With JM departed then it is likely TA will as well. Brentford see him as a potential Toney replacement and Aston Villa will almost certainly provide an option. West Ham would like a deal but want an initial loan with an option to buy. If they were to turn in to an obligation to buy, then something may be possible. Spurs may turn to him if they lose out on their first choice. Juventus and Milan may see him as an option and Milan would be attractive to the player. Wildcard would be Everton as a Calvert-Lewin replacement, but it would require UEFA oversight and payments spread over a longer period. Will need to prove his fitness after a terrible injury. Roma may offer him back to Chelsea.}

LAST 2 days of the window, we sure need something extra both up front, and elsewhere as we stand, we are very mediocre, the cup draw was what we expected, always the same old story On the bright side if we had continued. With Moyes, we would definitely be having a flirt with relegation this season, so we have to build up from the bottom, takes time

Looks now that Aguerd may possibly be on his way, which leaves us with 3 CB, s, with target Danso gone, we must get another CB in using Cresswell. at Cb won't work, do we have someone lined up? There are people that can play that position, but in reality, is that where we want to go?

Álvarez has played CB for a part of his career, with Rodriguez ahead of him when they played together. Whilst Alvarez is great as DM, the option is there if needs be.
Move Ings, Cornet and Aguerd on asap and get Soler and a pacy front man in.
After last night’s anonymity, I wouldn’t be unhappy to see the back of JWP either.
29 Aug 2024 09:42:22
IT may come to that, but it’s scrambling around, 2 quality players each position, is the way to go IF you want to become a top outfit, look at LIverpool, 6 quality’ forwards, look at us, errrr? That’s the difference, Steidten, had done a fantastic job so far, but we have a long way to go in my book, we will do ok, but not be a threat either, the clear out now taking place should have happened weeks ago, Crazy part of this, was Sullivan, had agreed to chop some immediately at start of window, to clear the decks, but there's, no panic Loppy said
they will be sold without too much problems, he was wrong, now it’s become a real scramble BUT then again how much is possible in just ONEwindow?
29 Aug 2024 14:57:50
Fingers crossed that the rumours surrounding Cornet and JWP going to Southampton have legs. 🤞🏻
30 Aug 2024 12:20:14
Joyful, i agree J-Lo may well have been wrong not to sanction them out right at the start, but I am glad he gave them a look over and tried them in the team. You never know, they could have changed and or performed better over time under him, so he was maybe right to look at them in training. Ings for example is by all accounts a great pro and great with the younger players, deserved a look.
You are spot on, we can't expect complete overhaul in one window, but my GOD have we done some great deals so far. Duran would have been an incredible addition, just what i think we need.
FACT is this transition will take time and we are likely to see a gradual transition and improvement. If we are in touch with Europe places come Christmas i think that would be a good start, provided we are gradually improving. It is like watching a bit of Moyes ball ATM, but we must remember these players have all been drilled the Moyes way. New players need time to gel, and old players time to execute the changes. Look at the connection Bowen and Paquea have now, it took time for those links/roots to come in, it wil take time for players to understand how to lay with Fulkrug
