Yunis Musa, Milan, No bids from WH. This story in the media looks to have been made up.
There was interest, time ago but his price, and Milan not keen on selling put a stop on that.

We can do better some say? Maybe, WH chasing people that, you can ask, why would they. Come to WH?
Arne Engels Celtic mdf two bids from Forest and Palace have been turned away, both believed to be around 23 m
Are WH going to top that? Very unlikely.
Mavrapanos, lots of talk, WH up till now no bids recieved, and clubs interested, told not to offer less than £30 m for WH to consider
That price may see interest die off. We shall see?
BVB and Leeds though he would be cheap, not so
15 Jul 2026 17:03:48
Michel Balkwisha, winger Celtic. Add this to the evergrowing winger list.
16 Jul 2026 03:48:48
Acc to Celtic fans, totally useless. We can surely do better?
16 Jul 2026 11:39:06
Without the lure of the Premier League and the wages, I'm not sure why anyone would leave Celtic (a much bigger club than West Ham and in the Champions League) to come to us.
15 Jul 2026 16:58:09
I can see that a lot of people are interested in Maeda player in last year of contract, not looking likely to renew, says agent. Would Celtic like to let him leave as a free agent? No way, so they may be open to a bid. He’s 28
How much? Maybe £15 m plus 5 m addons could start the ball rolling.
Would he come to the Championship? Unlikely, depends on who else is involved. Maeda is on 24 k a week. WH would need to double it, that may be possible.
WH have too many non productive limpets; if they can unload some then anything’s possible.
16 Jul 2026 03:48:18
No thanks, we can do better.
15 Jul 2026 11:29:07
Villa have just made enquiry for Diouf. We are approaching make your mind up time with 2/3 players.
15 Jul 2026 10:10:36
Mac, just wanted to check up for you. As of last night Wh have not made any bid for Ballard of Orient, there was an enquiry, where Wh where told 7 m was the price, maybe £5 m plus 2 m easy addons, that’s where it was left
Bristol City been knocked back twice.
But to be fair their bids were, let’s say, underwhelming.
Will Wh return?
16 Jul 2026 06:11:37
Many thanks for the update, Joyful.

Franculino, in the Championship WH could realistically only buy this player if we come in with a big fee £35 m, and get shot of people like Fulkrug and Pablo; as this looks unlikely, so does the scenario.
Vipotnik, this is the man that I think WH should buy. They enquired within the first two weeks of relegation. The reply was £25 m; this could be negotiable, but it’s the same story as above.
These two forwards are far better suited to WH needs than many others, but with current information it’s a no. No.
There are plenty of others, Ballard, Maeda are just two of dozens; wages is the problem. Whilst WH have people they can’t shift,……. over to Kretinsky
15 Jul 2026 10:56:00.
Franculino or Vipotnik, either would be great signings.
Why they just don’t finish Fulkrug’s contract, I don’t know. Is it something to do with these financial rules we have to adhere to? I.e. you buy a player for a certain sum and when you sell, the bigger the deficit, the bigger the hit you have to take?
15 Jul 2026 11:04:46
I think Maeda would be a great signing. Not sure he would leave Celtic to come to the Championship, though. Works hard, excellent press, great engine, tons of pace, can play wide as well.
15 Jul 2026 11:39:30
Fulkrug. Not rules related, but it would be a big loss on paper. Players like Maeda would want a salary jump coming to West Ham, before even debating whether or not he comes to the Championship. With so many players West Ham do not want collecting wages, getting in new players becomes difficult.
Were we in the Premier League, with its money, I'm sure Kretinsky would clear this mob out, get the best deals you can and move on, but in the Championship, it is altogether different.
15 Jul 2026 15:26:54
Oh come on, Maeda aint gonna come to us in the Championship. Yes, I would love to see him come to us, but we may as well say I wonder if Bellingham would come to West Ham. There is a major shortage of creative players, so why anyone thinks we are gonna attract them, I dont know.
The World Cup has shown you can have lots of creative players, but if teams play the low block like Ghana and Paraguay, having creative players doesnt ensure wins.
As ever, there is too much negativity peddled by a few websites and it spreads.
15 Jul 2026 16:33:29
I don't think anyone really thinks Maeda would come to the Championship, Hammer.
14 Jul 2026 22:34:19
Just silly talk, WH. Cannot slash wages on written and agreed contracts.
Fulkrug has offered to walk away to be a free agent, with no wages claim. Cornet will accept 1 m to wind up his last year contract.
That actually leaves three, not two: JWP, Alvarez and Todibo.
These three are the difficult ones.
JWP and Alvarez have 2 years left; Todibo three.
So the first two are easily solved if WH want to do it. There’s no way the other three are easy to solve, but it’s not holding up incomings. Indecision, staying or leaving on some players' parts is causing the problem.
15 Jul 2026 06:17:14
Joyful can you shed any light on rumour we bid £7m for Dom Ballard and we are interested in Maeda and Hatate from Celtic?
15 Jul 2026 08:49:31
First problem here is Fulkrug. There’s a host of players up front West Ham could have interest in. Maeda was of interest last season, Ballard enquiry, Hatate nothing as yet.
But West Ham, for reasons unknown, seem reluctant to let Fulkrug go; he’s still on 55 k a week. They don’t want a big loss on paper if he walks on a free.
Is he going to play this season? If he is, and we keep Taty, and the so far useless Pablo, none of those people can be brought in; just too much in wages in the Championship.
Whilst we need fresh faces, and we do, West Ham haven’t got the Premiership money coming in. Parachute money is a big help, but Kretinsky needs to make some big player decisions, draw a line on players leaving etc... West Ham are not yet sorted out.
14 Jul 2026 13:12:33
Summerville. Roma are short of funds, their original offer was spread like jam, so if they offer more, without a bank loan, it will get silly. I would not be suprised if they try to push a p/ex
Man United have the money, they have already offered 40 m plus 10 m easy addons, they could be pushed to make it £50 m in cash
Al Ahli different.
Choice. Completely paid in one go. The player will get double the wages United are offering. Roma not even worth mentioning, depends on your view…. sand dunes, loads of dough etc?
Do you want to play, or take the money?
14 Jul 2026 14:52:20
Money talks these days.
14 Jul 2026 16:03:08
The players do what the agents tell them now a lot of the time, so it will probably be where the agent gets the biggest cut.
13 Jul 2026 16:10:38
Patrick Berg. WH can actually pay more than the three promoted sides, who are all chasing him
It’s really a question for the player, play in Premier League for one season, odds are all three may be relegated at season's end
Or come to London, play with WH, a bigger club, with much more potential? Up to you, Mr Berg.
14 Jul 2026 14:53:38
Must admit, with Nils Koppen on board, I was hoping he could unearth some Scandinavian hidden talents, so let's hope Berg could be the start.
14 Jul 2026 15:27:18
He was pretty awful against England on Saturday night. Apart from Bellingham, there weren't many good performances.
14 Jul 2026 15:28:57
Well, an iceberg is 80% hidden? Unfortunately, the gem unearthing days are coming to an end. Too much media, too many on the take, internet, mobile texts, it's getting less and less.
14 Jul 2026 16:53:34
I'm sure, in these days of AI, even the YouTube footage can be manipulated to make someone like Pablo seem like Pele.
And if it wasn't happening, I've just given someone the idea.
15 Jul 2026 13:27:01
Please explain to me how we finish up with a player like Pablo?
How much money were WH given to take him!
Apart from running about trying to get the ball, what does he do?
I played and managed in the Conference League, the standard there is at least the level of Pablo. He must be the most ridiculous purchase of recent times.
