Are another two of our supposed long term targets about to go elsewhere. Forest have bid for JOTA SILVA and EVERTON are expected to bid for YURI Alberto whilst we sit idle debating FULKRUG which I still think is a smokescreen to try and prompt Villa into action. Not sure also what's taking so long with WAN BISSAKA?
Something I don;t understand is that we keep hearing about how West ham were going to bid on a player last season but MOYES prevented it? If that's the case and they are still available, why are we not bidding on them now?
1.) 31 Jul 2024 08:09:38
Fulkrug I don’t see it. Dhruan yes
2.) 31 Jul 2024 09:55:17
Nahhhhh Fulkrug is a bluff. Betcha it falls down at the last minute like often happens with us.
On another note, we had long time interest in jota silva. Well
Jota Silva to Nottingham Forest, here we go confirmed!
Verbal agreement in place with Vitória for €7m fixed fee, €3m add-ons if he plays 15 games, €3m add-ons if he scores 10 goals.
He’s travelling to have medical
Maybe it's me but at that price he would have made a decent squad player but no, we set our sights a long way above players like him and you watch, he will score against us
3.) 31 Jul 2024 10:37:13
If Jota Silva was that good why is his fee only €7m? I don’t really understand what all the panic is about in relation to transfers in/out? There are 3 weeks to go until the start of the season and 5 until the end of the window with many of our dealings well under way and being negotiated. We have to remember we are dealing with incredibly complex business deals where at least 4 parties have to be appeased and human emotion, in terms of the player and his family wanting the move geographically, to be taken into consideration. We will have what we need by the end of the window and a new manager/coach playing them in a different style. I’m really excited by it all!
4.) 31 Jul 2024 12:12:36
HI Dabber, don’t get too excited! In.case signings let you down, the whole situation has completely changed as explained above, it’s nothing to do with Jota Silva or any player in particular, it’s not enough money for the task End of story, Loppy has repeatedly asked for six players in. 2 weeks before kick off, that’s unlikely now, he’s starting the season on the back foot, fortunes always hiding, let’s hope it smiles on us
5.) 31 Jul 2024 12:44:46
And lately tabloids seem to report that LOP says "INGS and ANTONIO have a big part to play this season"> that's suggests to me that we might not actually buy a striker due to the lack of funds.
I hope am wrong but none of it makes any sense. Every deal we go for has been a pointless exercise and just a waste of time
6.) 31 Jul 2024 17:38:21
Joyful, I am getting excited about the new season irrespective of what we get player wise however the development on Summerville and your report of fund injection just proves the point things can happen quickly particularly when negotiations are already underway. Love your updates by the way feller ??
29 Jul 2024 11:12:19
West Ham are now showing an interest in Bouleye Dia (yes, again). Salernitana are standing firm on their asking price of roughly £12.65m. West ham are believed in TRUE WEST HAM fashion to have bid £7m (always looking for a bargain deal). Now considering that we were debating paying out £40m for DURAN, that very same £40m would by WAN BISSAKA, BOULEYE DIA amd JOTA SILVA/REISS Nelson. 3 Positions of need filled. We could then move on and look for the midfielder we desperatley need and another CB. Why can the board not see this?
26 Jul 2024 10:31:12
West Ham may have fianlly moved on from TOBIDO (its only taken 2 weeks) and now they chase Chalobah who has beenm left home from Chelsea's touring squad. £25m would get the deal done so we will bid £10m, then Man Utd will come along, offer £25m and he will go to them! Its the way Sullivan works
1.) 26 Jul 2024 10:54:38
MORE, to the point Chelsea, have allowed Malang Sarr, to join Lens ON A FREE TRANSFER! They are paying towards his wages on last year of contract, they wanted £4 m from us two weeks ago we offered to take him on a free, wages paid. CHELSEA will not be doing us any favours that’s for sure
2.) 26 Jul 2024 11:32:36
Oh absolutely not. Chelsea won;t help us out. Just look at GALLAGHER AND BROJA saga's we had with them to name but a few.
Apparently, El Periódico Mediterráneo today report that West Ham have gone a step further in the chase for SORLOTH. They state that the Hammers are one of the clubs to have made an offer for the 28-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Roma and Atletico Madrid.
Roma’s offer is most appealing and stands at €30m, but the message sent out to West Ham and Atletico as well is that the Yellow Submarines would only sell Sørloth if the release clause of €38m is met.
Whether West Ham meet that asking price remains to be seen (doubtful because we know Sulli loves a bargain), but the striker’s entourage already know of Villarreal’s stance in the saga.
3.) 26 Jul 2024 13:22:42
The mazraoui deal is now off also. Apparnelty the agent fees are too high and we don't like his injury record. Sounds like sulli pulled the plug when he seen the agent fees and used injury record as an excuse.
Sulli needs to give up control too old.
4.) 26 Jul 2024 14:01:53
Yeah this is an absolutely crazy way to conduct business. SURELY, we must have had a look at his injury record before proceeding with talks.
If not, its CRAZY.
Seems Villarel want £38m for SORLOTH (which is pretty good value) so we bid £25!
Focus now turns to Chalobah!
Sorry being negative everybody but this window has SULLIVAN written all over it again. Don't hold your breath for any new signings coming in soon!
Soule going to ROMA. Tobido going to JUVENTUS. Duran at top of Newcastle hit list, its no stop isn;t it. Sessegnon to Fulham.
What happend to our interest in JOTA SILVA, REISS NELSON etc?
5.) 26 Jul 2024 16:41:09
Think everyone is getting a bit frustrated now daisy. I think with the likes of silva and Nelson they would be back up choices where as the main target is now summerville. Personally I would have liked soule but at least with summerville he has played mostly on the left.
The thing that winds me up the most is its the same patterns emerging and when things go wrong it wreaks of sullivan.
Really playing with fire I fear jlo will walk if we don't get a move on.
6.) 26 Jul 2024 19:11:07
No Idea why you are saying about Malang Sarr @Joyful, as he is another Phillips, Have a look he hasn't played for 12 months and only played 8 prem games the season before!
26 Jul 2024 08:27:27
Lets Talk Centre Backs. Newcastle are expected to back in with an improved bid. Tobido has stated he has no desire and no interest in joing WEST HAM. Wolves, Everton, Brentford, Nottingham Forest and AJAX are all chasing JAKE O'Brien. Fulham and Manchester United are chasing TREVOR CHALLOBAH.
And in true fashion "West Ham are PONDERING Fikayo Tomori move"
No doubt by the time we finish pondering, it will take 3 weeks of talking, at which time it will be too late and some other club will sign him and it will be "Ah so sorry, but we did try"
1.) 26 Jul 2024 10:23:35
Newcastle United have outbid West Ham in a last-gasp hijack for Aston Villa star Jhon Duran it has been claimed.
After weeks of talks with Aston Villa over Jhon Duran, West Ham could be left empty-handed after a late move by Newcastle who have reportedly bid £36m!
This has yet to be confirmed but its believed a SAUDI Club is also very Interested in John Duran and could go to £40m.
So, after all these weeks of talking WEST HAM could be left empty handed yet again
2.) 26 Jul 2024 11:05:46
Still think the money Villa want is far too much for a basically unproven young striker. As for the Toon, if Duran goes there he's in exactly the same boat as he's in now. No way does he start ahead of Isak.
Honestly I think it's time we walked away from Duran and look elsewhere.
3.) 26 Jul 2024 11:52:42
Agreed BillyDwhizz. Walk away and invest elsewhere. I can see Isak to Chelsea, Duran to Newcastle and we will end up with Wilson or Calvert Lewin you just watch!
4.) 26 Jul 2024 12:41:10
Todibo is waiting for Juve but nothing has happened there yet.
I'm confident if it was between us and Newcastle he'd choose us but isn't much in it.
Again with Duran the alledged newcastle and Saudi bids come from nick at claret and boozes sources. Non of the bigger ITks have come out and said anything yet.
2 things really he's not going to want to play second fiddle to ISAK and at this point in his career it doesn't make sense to go to Saudi.
If its true then it might actually force sullivans hand a bit. I think we are very confident the player wants to come to us and that's why we haven't rushed to get things done and pay villa's asking price. I think they are also happy to wait until after the first game of the season against them to agree to the transfer. I'd imagine a compromise would be met fairly quickly after that games been played.
Personally I think pay the extra get him in as soon as possible and let him loose against villa would be worth the extra 5m alone
25 Jul 2024 09:28:13
Hi Y'all, so after weeks of chasing DURAN, the 20-year-old has expressed a desire to play for a "BIG team", potentially hinting at a move to the London Stadium but its his public statements have raised concerns about his attitude. and he has removed all of his connections with ASTON VILLA.
Now, we already knew this fella had attitude issues, but I'm getting this strong feeling that nothing is going to change in west ham approach in signing new players.
Id we ALL Consider that Lopi wanted most of his signings in early so he could get them all bedded in, we are now in the same situation as in the past with last minute signings after the season has started for has been players such as INGS and this comes over more like desperation than planned. I hope i'm wrong but it seems to be heading that way, yet again!
Alot of frustrated supporters out there so its not just me before everyone starts having a go.
We ALL read is "in TIM we trust", but nothing has changed so what was the point of bringing him in. Scatter gun low bids, annoy teams and players and when we do get bids accepted we say they want too much, or their agent wants too much, or they just don't want to play for us or there is alwayas some other issue. How do other teams manage to identify and buy players and get them in early for integration. We've had months knowing who was leaving, who was needed and we have the smallest, oldest squad in the league already! We still need at LEAST 5 players and the strategy is all down to SULLIVAN.
Go out and get a propert striker for christs sake. if this Kid was that good why hasn't he dethroned WATKINS and why doesn't he play regular?
JOKE!
1.) 25 Jul 2024 11:37:48
The type of targets we have been going for have definitely improved and at least we have a few targets for each position.
Where as in the past Moyes would have us chase the same target all window and sullivan would haggled them to death.
We still appear to be a bit scattergun but at least it's more thought out rather than sullivan having his agents picks.
The way we negotiate certainly doesn't help but some of the targets holding out for bigger moves like todibo, slows us down also.
Villa I think maybe being a bit greedy on duran, on the one hand saying his attitude is terrible but on the other asking for 40m. The tactic of going in for other strikers to try and drive their price down hasn't worked. So if we want him we are going to have to pay a little bit more than what we would have wanted, I'd also imagine villa probably won't want him lining up agaisnt them first game of the season so would be happy to sit and wait until after then to do the deal. It's possible we will both be competing for European places next season so I wouldn't expect any favours from them.
Also deal is being agreed for Mazraoui who is better all round compared to awb and kwp looks like a cheaper deal also.
2.) 25 Jul 2024 12:00:27
I actually don't know what to believe anymore. Villa want over £35m, we won't budge over £30m? He wants a BIG CLUB not VILLA (who are in Champions league)?
3.) 25 Jul 2024 12:42:48
He said he was happy he was linked to big clubs don't think he was saying villa are not a big club.
Looks like we are now offering Orford. Which is crazy considering how much young homegrown players are going for at the moment. OK maybe 20m and Orford for Duran but If its to make up the 5m differnce in valuation of Duran is poor business on our part.

Am hearing that the WAN BISSAKA situation has just got more complicated as he wants a big pay off and MAN UTD are exploring swap deal with DUMFRIES
Time to move on and let MAN UTD sort out their own mess without dragging us into it. If they didn't pay players such ridiculous wages some of these problems may be overcome
Why are the FA not looking into how MAN UTD can pay De Gea £375, 000 A WEEK along with numerous opthers that earn well over £200k a week and then when it comes to them being sold, nobody can afford to pay these players the massive wages UNITED pay them! Its CRAZY
Time we move on. Plenty of other Left and Right backs and CB's to target
1.) 06 Aug 2024 15:27:38
Surely its time to move on. Why do Manc uninvited always do this?
06 Aug 2024 07:47:13
So, we've made some great signings over this window and TS is slowly transforming this team.
I think we can safely say that a few will leave before the end of the window.
If we can now get Full backs (WAN BISSAKA and HENRIQUE) and a CB (I know its asking a lot) I think we've had a great window
1.) 06 Aug 2024 10:30:14
Just throwing this out there.
When Rodríguez and Alvarez played together, the latter was often played as a CB.
We have some cover there if Todibo/Soulet and so on don’t happen.
We need to move Zouma and Aguerd on.
2.) 06 Aug 2024 14:02:52
Definitely get rid of zouma and aguerd and I'd also suggest Soucek and Coufal are sold. They simply aren't up to premier league quality anymore so we just carry them through games which was ok when moyes was coach but not anymore
3.) 06 Aug 2024 16:51:52
I completely agree, Zouma and Aguerd clearly need to be moved on and personally, I wouldn't be disappointed if Soucek, Coufal and Ings were let go as well. However, if we look at this realistically, what do you think we'll get for those players:
Zouma - £10 million?
Aguerd - £20 million?
Coufal - £8 million?
Soucek - £20 million?
Ings - £5 million?
I feel like I am being optimistic there as well.
With those five players we would definitely have to sign at least one more centre back, but probably more likely two (it would leave us with Mavropanos and Kilman), at least one right back, but probably more likely two (this is assuming we haven't signed Wan Bissaka) .
I am just not sure the money we would get would stretch to sign what we need, not without loans or perhaps another couple of free agents. Mario Hermoso on a free at centre back perhaps? But he would want to start and is a left sided centre back. probably on big wages as well. Maybe Mats Hummels? Again though he would probably want to start and whilst his quality cannot be questioned, I can't help but feel like the pace of the Premier League would mean he'd struggle now.
4.) 06 Aug 2024 17:08:51
In a dream world, sell:
Kurt Zouma - £10 million
Nayef Aguerd - £20 million
Vladimir Coufal - £8 million
Tomas Soucek - £20 million
Maxwell Cornet - £10 million
Danny Ings - £5 million
INCOMING - £73 million
and sign:
Jean-Clair Todibo / Joe Gomez / Yann Bissek (£5 million loan to buy next Summer)
Oumar Solet - £15 million
Aaron Wan-Bissaka - £15 million
Matt O'Riley - £25 million
Jhon Duran / Tammy Abraham (£5 million loan to buy next Summer)
Outgoing - £65 million
That would leave us with Wan-Bissaka as our only natural right back, but both Gomez and Mavropanos have played a fair number of games at right back. Not a bad understudy.
Our squad would look like this:
GK - Alphonse Areola
GK - Lukasz Fabianski
GK - Wes Foderingham
CB - Jean-Clair Todibo / Joe Gomez / Yann Bisseck
CB - Konstantinos Mavropanos
CB - Max Kilman
CB - Oumar Solet
LB - Aaron Cresswell
LB - Emerson Palmieri
RB - Aaron Wan-Bissaka
DM - Edson Alvarez
DM - Guido Rodríguez
CM - Andy Irving
CM - James Ward-Prowse
CM - Matt O'Riley
AM - Lucas Paquetá
AM - Mohammed Kudus
W - Crysencio Summerville
W - Jarrod Bowen
W - Luis Guilherme
F - Jhon Durán / Tammy Abraham
F - Michail Antonio
F - Niclas Füllkrug
That would be an unbelievably strong squad for a team of West Ham' stature
5.) 06 Aug 2024 19:50:22
I like it Die 4 but I’d be inclined to keep Coufal as cover. For me JWP should be on the out list instead whilst we can get £20 - 25m for him
6.) 06 Aug 2024 19:58:27
Poss need to keep Coufal as RB understudy.? Or You have George Earthy to put in too. So you could swap JWP for KWP and sell Coufal.
02 Aug 2024 22:38:26
Believe this or Believe it not, but I think a lot of us suspected FULKRUG could be a smokescreen.
Seems Duran is back on the menu, for a much cheaper fee!
It is suggested that personal terms have been agreed with the South American, and Villa want £25 million all in for the 20-year-old - a drastic drop from their previous valuation.
Did we not bid £35m for DURAN
02 Aug 2024 22:18:37
As much as its great to watch in anticipation of who we are likely to be bringing in to make us a better all round squad ready for the rigours of another long, hard season, I'm also hoping we can work hard to sell a few names on such as CORNET (not been a great signing am afraid), ZOUMA, AGUERD and if we bring in midfielders I'd like to see SOUCEK and JWP moved on. what's the likelyhood
02 Aug 2024 22:16:55
It sounds like today could be make or break for several deals and perhaps even the success or failure of the entire window. We have 4 deals apaprently in the pipeline but not as close to being finalised as some reports suggest.
I'm really hopeful we can seal the deals for Summerville and Wan Bissaka and possibly TOBIDO or FOFANA but I just somehow, can;t see how Dortmund will let Fulkrug leave, so when it comes to strikers, I think there could yet be further twists.
Also being reported TS really wants WATARU ENDO from LIVERPOOL for a fee in the region of £15m (possibly bargain of the season?)
1.) 03 Aug 2024 08:58:21
Yup Daisy, it's the Sullivan tactic to market us abroad. Seems we also want RICHARD RIOS? not sure about that?
06 Aug 2024 07:41:13
Interesting, and I suppose he would be ok as a short term option, but, he does lack pace at the back. Great passer and legend defender but at 35, is he to old for the rigours of the PREMIER LEAGUE?
02 Aug 2024 13:26:12
Thanks Joyful. Tbh, we will need Midfield reinforcements because I can't see either SOUCEK or JWP being very successful along side ALVAREZ andf of course if ALVAREZ should get injured again it only leaves us with those 2!
01 Aug 2024 14:34:42
Summerville could miss West Ham United v Crystal Palace with injury, medical results due to report he has a minor strain
01 Aug 2024 13:39:21
I'd take WESLEY and YURI ALBERTO
31 Jul 2024 14:35:03
When we were in EUROPE look at who we recruited INGS, PHILLIPS but to name a few.
Terrible recruiting and it has been for years which we thought TS was going to sort out, but no, its exactly the same
05 Aug 2024 13:35:25
We are back in for MATT O'RILEY from CELTIC but not at £25m. Quite clearly LOP has idnetified the midfield as an area for concern along with CB.
Why do I get the feeling that MANC UTD are stringing us along for the ride again where WAN BISSAKA is concerned? I hope TS pulls the plug and goes elsewhere as he did with DURAN
04 Aug 2024 12:50:36
Phew, I stayed up to watch and we are so easy to get at. Little or no protection from the midfield and out wide we look suspect every time teams come forward. Coufal is so easy to get at and offers little going forward. I'm not sure what SOUCEK's role is in this team anymore because he looks lost. Aguerd is to prone to making an almighty cock up.
Remainder of this wondow HAS to be on defenders who can actually defend and to get rid of COUFAL, SOUCEK, JWP and AGUERD and HOPEFULLY ZOUMA but that's asking a lot.
As Joyful says " unless this is sorted out pronto, we will have a very poor season" and yeah, this was pre-season but, our defending is woeful especially if you consider we just paid £40m for KILMAN and its not improved matters. Its out wide where we struggle and no support from the midfield
01 Aug 2024 14:36:51
Yep, he he he I think you meant New RB :-) But I get what your saying
IF all goes well we could have quite a revamped starting lineup and Daisy didn;t even mention TOBIDO and or FOFANA (who we should have brought in last year when he wanted to join but MOYES said NO)
01 Aug 2024 13:43:13
Well, if all goes to plan, a new LB whoever that will be, current flavour of the month is AWB. Obviously at least 1 CB MAX KILMAN but posssibly 2. Clearly EMERSON is now staying so don;t need a RB.although I have little faith in CRESSWELL so maybe a RB aswell. Crysencio Summerville, Possibly new striker - FULKRUG MAYBE?
And maybe another midfielder with ALVAREZ so its possible 5 new starters
01 Aug 2024 06:08:26
I agree with you Brooking. He has that "DEAN ASHTON" about him and he would have been agreat signing if he hadn't got injured with England
