Seems as if this is becoming a Political talk site? Would it not be better to keep it to the site it's intended to be used for, we all see so much information on the TV and must confess I tend to overdose on the News and current updates.
Tough game today against Villa, they have so many capable of scoring, will get commentary on Radio hopefully, we really need to get 3 points to remain in contention for a top 6 slot which I think realistically is the best we can hope for?⚒⚒⚒
{Ed002's Note - {Ed002's Note - I completely agree. There are huge amounts of misinformation being posted Chelmsford. As you say, a tough game against Aston Villa today. And to try and prompt some discussion on transfers and the needs the club have in the summer, we can start by looking at the GKs where there are issues:
GKs who might depart before next season or have been of interest to other sides:
Alphonse Areola (G) WHU Have an option to buy but the player may resist citing lack of opportunities and may look for a high-profile club. West Ham would like to keep him – will need persuading.
Lukasz Fabianski (G) Out of Contract in the summer and available as a Free Agent. West Ham could look to an additional year to ease a serious GK problem.
David Martin (G) Out of Contract in the summer and available as a Free Agent.
GKs where some level of interest has been shown:
Alphonse Areola (G) WHU Have an option to buy but the player may resist citing lack of opportunities and may look for a high-profile club. West Ham would like to keep him – will need persuading. Unlikely.
Bartlomiej Dragowski (S) Has asked to leave Fiorentina for more game time. Looked at by WHU as an option if Areola does not sign.
Gaëtan Coucke (G) Genk sold Coucke to Mechelen in 2020 as he was letting in a couple of goals per game - and he is still letting a lot in. His agent has said Ipswich Town and West Ham have asked after him - it is unclear why as it seems he is nothing like good enough.
Emiliano Martinez (G) Aston Villa will resist a sale but Spurs see Martinez as a potential longer-term Lloris replacement and West Ham see him as a Fabianski replacement. Manchester United want to avoid signing a new goalkeeper but could be forced to look to him. If WHU were to make an offer the player would likely look to the role of Areola before deciding. Unlikely as the cost will be significant.
Sam Johnstone (G) Spurs, West Ham and Southampton may look to offers to the player who is out of contract in the summer. Possible.

West Ham have been linked with Johnston got a couple of seasons now and I think he would be a good signing out of contract so no transfer fee and his distribution is good and quick something which Fab and Areola lack. What about Henderson who isn't getting game time at Utd

I have to agree with him Chelmsford. I’m not a massive nationalist but it should be a point of great pride to play for your country. I think the problem is bigger in that we shouldn’t even be having this ridiculous competition. We should be having World Cup qualifiers at the moment, but big business want these meaningless internationals., so we have to have these continual annoying breaks in the league schedule. I’m sure some of the players were genuinely injured but they always come from the same BIG clubs. I suppose on the plus side it can be good for the players that step in. Let’s face it England and West Ham’s heritage may be somewhat different if Jimmy Greaves hadn’t got injured in 66 as Geoff Hurst would never have got in the main side. I wish we dropped players like Paqueta who don’t perform and gave someone else a chance.

@hammer-d, with regards to Paqueta I thought he had a better game against Everton. It was his passes for summerville and ings that another say are goals and he gets 2 assists.
There were suggestions loppy was considering dropping Paqueta then Kudus gets a ban so that might be why he wasn't dropped.
They do say form is temporary class Is permanent so let's hope he can get back to previous levels at his best he can win games with moments of brilliance.
One thing we haven't seen much of this season is the link up between him and Emerson, now I wouldn't stick him out on lw like moyes did but on the left of a 3 man midfield in a 433 would suit him and the team better we might actually be able to progress the ball forward quickly for a change. Keep summerville on the left and play Kudus as a false 9.
Rcm would be a toss up between soucek or Soler.
Honestly think a 433 suits the players we have but we never see it.

The midfield is currently our Achilles heel. Alvarez obviously has an issue with the coach and it’s reflected in his frustrated tackling. Soucek is bereft of creativity and his passing ability is woeful. He needs replacing urgently. Paqueta’s head is elsewhere and it’s badly affecting his play.
We also urgently need a central striker.

@die4, I'm thinking the same the only one I'd consider changing there would be soucek for Soler. Souceks scored some important goals and is good in both boxes but doesn't offer much in possession, think with soler he's much better on the ball and we might be able to get a bit more control in midfield with him in there.
@tinlegs have to agree with our midfield not being up to it, don't think the way loppy sets them up helps either infact probably makes it worse.
We are massively missing pace in there and a progressive ball player, hopefully we can get one in January I'd take that type of player over a striker in jan.

What a great advert for PL Football the Fulham v Brentford game was (Mon). Both teams playing great attacking Football and wanting to win the game, nervy for both supporters but great for the neutral!
Harry Wilson came on as a late sub for Fulham and scored 2 lovely goals what a terrific player, also Brentford's goal was a super strike! No players hid away, all gave everything, how both not in the top 7 at least amazes me on that form! ⚒⚒⚒

Despite being born and raised in England, Lee Carsley qualified to play for Ireland at international level on forty occasions due to his grandmother being from Cork.
Whilst playing for Ireland, he didn’t sing the Irish national anthem and he didn’t sing the English national anthem while in charge of the England under 21s either.
Personally, I couldn’t care if the coach sings the anthem as long as he is putting a good team out and we are competing for things. Fabio Capello never sang the national anthem while manager of England because he deemed it wrong to sing another nations anthem. There was no uproar then.

Joyfull, totally agree with Soucek and Cresswell comments to retain, especially Soucek, he’s only 30 for heavens sake, bloody excellent imo, pops up with goals all the time, also keep Coufal as well, bit older at32 but puts in a great shift each time, every player makes mistakes, Cressy deserves to be retained! The games all about mistakes and we are WH of course and all the top players are waiting to join us ?? I don’t think! Of course we all have opinions who we’d like to have as well as Managers, but we don’t have a say of course!
Still an excellent win against Utd be they in the doldrums but so are we and they have many internationals as we know! ⚒⚒⚒

I was very much a Potter advocate for who was available when Loppy was dismissed, I judged this solely on his Brighton Management, of course he failed miserably at Chelsea, but you’re not necessarily going to succeed at every club!
However I see nothing wrong with Bowen as Captain discussing the players apparent discontent with his tactics if the rumour is true. I believe Bowen has become a true ⚒ and has a right to air his views on behalf of the players providing he has said the same to Potter beforehand!
I also love Soucek no matter what other posters on here say about him, I would hate to see him go! Moyes will snap him up and rightly so. ⚒⚒⚒COYI

Hello Dab, can’t complain at my age mate??Been following us as I’ve said on many posts since the mid 1950’s as a 15 year old, also even if I say myself I’m an optimistic person in most cases, can’t see no point in moaning too much if it’s a situation you cannot change! Agree it’s a debating site and of course people are entitled to their opinions, but we are West Ham as I always say, so we should be used to being unpredictable!
