Mate just texted and said Loopy resigned, any truth? ⚒⚒⚒⚒
1.) 20 Oct 2024 04:19:56
What’s your mate's name? Moyes?
02 Jul 2024 16:15:37
Kudus with us next season as £85m release clause expired 1/7 2024????⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒
09 Oct 2023 08:38:44
Bowen signed new contract for £6.5m PA, great it ties him to the club until in his 30's with no buy out clause? Apparently loves it at the club, well done Sullivan?⚒⚒⚒⚒COYI
1.) 09 Oct 2023 19:50:33
Agree with you Chelmsford. Club is moving in a positive motion because everything is stable.
2.) 29 Oct 2023 15:10:36
Let's be honest, Bowen signing that contract only really guarantees the club a stronger bargaining position should someone come sniffing around in the next few transfer windows.
13 Mar 2022 12:00:36
Seems as if this is becoming a Political talk site? Would it not be better to keep it to the site it's intended to be used for, we all see so much information on the TV and must confess I tend to overdose on the News and current updates.
Tough game today against Villa, they have so many capable of scoring, will get commentary on Radio hopefully, we really need to get 3 points to remain in contention for a top 6 slot which I think realistically is the best we can hope for?⚒⚒⚒
{Ed002's Note - {Ed002's Note - I completely agree. There are huge amounts of misinformation being posted Chelmsford. As you say, a tough game against Aston Villa today. And to try and prompt some discussion on transfers and the needs the club have in the summer, we can start by looking at the GKs where there are issues:
GKs who might depart before next season or have been of interest to other sides:
Alphonse Areola (G) WHU Have an option to buy but the player may resist citing lack of opportunities and may look for a high-profile club. West Ham would like to keep him – will need persuading.
Lukasz Fabianski (G) Out of Contract in the summer and available as a Free Agent. West Ham could look to an additional year to ease a serious GK problem.
David Martin (G) Out of Contract in the summer and available as a Free Agent.
GKs where some level of interest has been shown:
Alphonse Areola (G) WHU Have an option to buy but the player may resist citing lack of opportunities and may look for a high-profile club. West Ham would like to keep him – will need persuading. Unlikely.
Bartlomiej Dragowski (S) Has asked to leave Fiorentina for more game time. Looked at by WHU as an option if Areola does not sign.
Gaëtan Coucke (G) Genk sold Coucke to Mechelen in 2020 as he was letting in a couple of goals per game - and he is still letting a lot in. His agent has said Ipswich Town and West Ham have asked after him - it is unclear why as it seems he is nothing like good enough.
Emiliano Martinez (G) Aston Villa will resist a sale but Spurs see Martinez as a potential longer-term Lloris replacement and West Ham see him as a Fabianski replacement. Manchester United want to avoid signing a new goalkeeper but could be forced to look to him. If WHU were to make an offer the player would likely look to the role of Areola before deciding. Unlikely as the cost will be significant.
Sam Johnstone (G) Spurs, West Ham and Southampton may look to offers to the player who is out of contract in the summer. Possible.
1.) 13 Mar 2022 13:56:34
Ed?Thanks for all the additional info as well on GK’s that we really do need to make our mind up with if we have no intention of buying Areola, which I can only suspect could be his current wage at PSG? I cannot see Fab being capable of retaining the number 1 spot past the end of this season?
I don’t want to seem to be unsupportive or heartless of the poor Ukrainian people, as I am as sickened and appalled as anybody by the mad, evil Russian slaughtering thousands of Ukrainians and other nationals for his own warped lying ideals, Where will this all end?
⚒⚒⚒⚒
{Ed002's Note - I think I will move on to the RBs next.}
2.) 13 Mar 2022 16:11:04
Ed, I thought Fabianski signed for another year, maybe use him as a number 2, would Pope be available if Burnley go down?
{Ed002's Note - I thought the extra year ran out this coming summer.}
3.) 13 Mar 2022 19:08:12
Reasonably sure Fabianski is secured for next season.
{Ed002's Note - OK.}
4.) 13 Mar 2022 23:02:40
Pope or Meslier for me if either of those teams go down.
Johnstone is a good shot stopper but I hear his kicking is poor and he flaps at crosses. Would rather have areola.
5.) 14 Mar 2022 10:45:35
West Ham have been linked with Johnston got a couple of seasons now and I think he would be a good signing out of contract so no transfer fee and his distribution is good and quick something which Fab and Areola lack. What about Henderson who isn't getting game time at Utd
{Ed002's Note - There is plenty of interest from elsewhere, but none from WHU at this time.}
6.) 14 Mar 2022 20:50:48
Yes its sometimes dearth of other opem convos that leads to some of my politicking and maybe others' too. Goalie situ interests me greatly. Martin maybe shoulda had more of a chance - 36 not old for a keeoer vut kate to make ones mark ; he is mocing on in the summer?
7.) 14 Mar 2022 20:37:42
fabs recently signed a 1yr extension
8.) 14 Mar 2022 22:42:20
Martin is a training ground keeper no where near the level needed. He only got game time for us due to how bad Roberto was.
9.) 15 Mar 2022 10:33:21
Fabs signed a 1 year extension last March which runs out this June. I can't find any info anywhere to suggest he's extended again and every site I visit to check still has his contract expiration at June '22.
10.) 15 Mar 2022 19:53:59
Looking around the internet Billy and Ed you may be right. Seems lots of press that a deal was to be signed in mid Jan, but none saying it was signed. So maybe it does run out in June after all.
11.) 18 Mar 2022 16:28:03
As long as we don't wait til Sept, then panic it has not been signed; nor do we have a replacement on the horizon. This seems to be our Modus Operandus on transfer related stuff.
12.) 21 Mar 2022 00:10:50
Spot on iron.Al martin isn't very good and roberto was probably the worst keeper ever to pull on a west ham shirt thers a heck of a lot of good foreign keepers but if burnley go down which i don't think they will then POPE is a decent keeper and probably the best english keeper about as i don't rate PICKFORD one bit anyway EVERTON are candidates for relegation as they are shocking at the minute big frank relegated i'd laugh my bollocks off were he to get them relegated as he never once showed west ham any respect when he was sold.
13.) 23 Mar 2022 12:08:17
Whorya yes and Lampard is attacking his own team now too - it will all end in tears rather shortly - perhaps with, as you say, relegation.
17 Aug 2021 16:57:07
According to Manchester News, the EPL website states Jesse Lingard as a West Ham player loan for 2021/ 22 season, just saw this online trawling for WH news?
âš’âš’âš’âš’.
1.) 17 Aug 2021 17:30:50
Yes, I saw that too. It’s a strange one. I wouldn’t make too much of it.
2.) 17 Aug 2021 18:12:39
Hasn't he only got 1 year left on contract? Makes no sense man u would want to loan, someone being mischievous probably or a simple typo.
3.) 17 Aug 2021 19:35:38
I don't see it happening well not this window anyway
Scored for them tonight.

Must say never expected anything else from this game, hoped for a point but never thought we’d get any more! Listened on Radio London & commentators were raving about the game being so fast & attacking.
After we went 2-0 down, had enough, guessed we’d get nothing & turned it off!
Hope Spurs collapse tomorrow or we are in trouble. ??⚒⚒⚒
1.) 02 May 2026 18:42:53
We should have got something. VAR never looked at a totally obvious foul on Mavrapanos. Taty had enough chances to score four goals in the first half!
The bar posts everything except the net.
We deserved at least a draw, effort was non stop.
Unfortunately, this may be the game that sunk us.
Having had Potter as manager for 21 games and only getting 14 points from them may be a bridge too far.
We can only hope. Joyful.
2.) 02 May 2026 19:04:49
I did the same as Chelmsford and listened on the radio. I did think we would lose today, but never like to actually say it. Brentford currently on course for Europe. Having said that, a lot of the time we only need to concentrate on ourselves; we will spend most of our time hoping that others help us out.
I think, if we don't end up in the bottom 3, we will end up there next week, but I actually think we will win our last 2 games.
3.) 02 May 2026 21:33:24
Poor today. We had a few chances, but again left wanting in front of goal. Pablo is utterly awful, runs around a bit, but nowhere near good enough. We got totally ripped off there. Can only see us beating Leeds if we are lucky, but Spurs will also beat them.
They are facing a Villa side that also has a semi-final in the week, and has at least 5th place all but wrapped up. I think if Spurs win tomorrow they will stay up. Brentford is a tough game, and we are going to be relegated due to that result, but still disappointing.
4.) 02 May 2026 21:49:51
I'm pretty sure he will drop Pablo next week, but that is only to make way for Todibo, as I'm almost certain he will try and do exactly the same as they did v City. I very much doubt it will work twice.
5.) 02 May 2026 22:08:05
Also can't understand why he leaves Pablo on and subs Tatty, who by most accounts played well.
6.) 02 May 2026 22:36:22
Taty was on a yellow, I think that's why he took him off, but he could've brought Adama on earlier and moved Bowen more central.
7.) 03 May 2026 08:51:40
At the game yesterday the atmosphere was immense. We went through every emotion. The team gave everything. It was a match when we were never going to score. Spoke to a couple of Brentford fans after, and they thought a draw was a fair result, although they were well pleased with the win.
Had Pablo shot in the 5th or 6th minute and put us up, that would've made a big difference. Sadly, he was brought to score goals and doesn't look up to that mission, yet his work rate is incredible. It's going to go down to Leeds!
8.) 03 May 2026 09:21:49
Soucek fouled in the box and Pablo wiped out in the box at 2 -0. VAR deemed it an accidental slip, accidental or not, it's a foul and a pen.
9.) 03 May 2026 11:24:39
Totally agree, Iron Al, accidental or not, if it was in the middle of the park, you'd get a free kick. Also, Soucek wrestled to the ground off a corner..... penalty. We played really well in the first half, but their 2nd killed us and panic set in. This, for me, is where Bowen lacks leadership.
10.) 03 May 2026 13:10:59
I only saw the highlights, and although it did show the various hit posts and cross bars, it looked like we did get battered 2nd half. Diouf and Hermadsen both had a day to forget.
11.) 03 May 2026 16:07:10
I think they lost their way in the second half due to frustration at not getting any decisions, big or small.
26 Apr 2026 17:21:36
Seems Soucek & Bowen knockers were kept quiet by their performances yesterday, both brilliant. Think Tomas should be given the Captaincy!
Great result but still don’t like the sitting back even though the defence is now so solid, to invite the opposition onto you for that amount of time is stupid imo.
⚒⚒⚒⚒
1.) 26 Apr 2026 20:50:08
I've seen a few knocking Soucek (including myself), and they have agreed he's got better, but I haven't seen many knocking Bowen, to be honest.
2.) 27 Apr 2026 06:08:42
Got to say, Chelmsford, you are spot on there. And yes, I was also one of those people. He is consistently putting in great performances. I would probably put him down as our best player on Saturday, along with Disasi and maybe Summerville. I've said it before, I'm often wrong, and in situations like this, more than happy to be proved so.
3.) 27 Apr 2026 12:16:58
Bowen had a poor game against Palace, and people said so. It was a one off. Apart from his captaincy shortcomings, nobody has been knocking Bowen as a player. All good players have an off day.
Are we not allowed to say so?
As for Soucek, he was bloody awful under Potter, but he's improved lately, and people have said so, including me. Read the posts, not just a selection.
4.) 27 Apr 2026 14:53:33
Hammer-D, well done, mate, for at least having the strength of character to change your mind with posts about performances instead of crucifying players constantly undeservingly. ⚒⚒⚒⚒
5.) 27 Apr 2026 15:15:39
Redrobbo, well done, mate, for actually reading posts and for your honest response.
04 Mar 2026 19:32:36
Hermansen in goal. ? No no no, hope he proves me wrong? ⚒⚒⚒ Coyi.
1.) 04 Mar 2026 21:36:41
He did. 2 top top saves. He did get lucky with that spill in stoppage time, personally, don't think there was enough contact, but we deserved at least 1 decision to go for us!!!
2.) 04 Mar 2026 21:38:56
He's proved you wrong!
3.) 05 Mar 2026 08:24:12
Dabber, not seen highlights that I recorded yet, but heard Herm made at least one outstanding save, so I am more than happy to admit that it looks like he is a decent keeper now that he is getting a run of more games.
?? Plus, as I said earlier, I never saw that result coming!
Had a text commentary on FootMob, which is always about 5 mins behind real time, very nervy reading it! ⚒⚒⚒ COYI
4.) 05 Mar 2026 11:39:03
Morning Chelms.
Hope you're keeping well.
I personally think that the defence just looks more comfortable with Herm behind them. His distribution is much better, and his organisation of the defence is better because he talks to them.
As great a shot-stopper as he is, I wrote a lengthy post about Areola being a problem. I remember I wrote it on the day we beat Sunderland. I won't go into it again, but I just feel the defence seems happier with Herm in goal. Coyi!
5.) 05 Mar 2026 13:49:04
Afternoon Dabber, yes, well thanks mate, hope you & family are too. ? Watched the highlights this morning, we looked well decent, although only 3-minute or so highlights, as you know?
Bowen was so alert with his interception, then slipping it to Summers, a couple of great shimmy's then a terrific finish.
Wow, he's on fire at the moment! Selfish, but hope he doesn't get selected for the Dutch first team, start picking up injuries! Well happy to see your mate Hermy in goal now. He made a couple of real good saves, especially the save in the 87th minute, heading into the top left corner. ? ⚒⚒⚒ COYI
19 Feb 2026 15:54:28
Any opinions on the Vinicius out burst chasing after the Referee? ⚒⚒⚒⚒
1.) 20 Feb 2026 18:00:44
Seems to me it’s always him, is it possible that the guy instigates stuff and brings it on himself, don’t get me wrong if it is indeed a racial slur then I’m 1000% against it, but let’s be real he’s not the money honest player and he has some massively rubbishhouse tactics for time wasting and stuff.
2.) 20 Feb 2026 19:58:12
Agree Whitby, all childish imo, what did we endure at school, 4 eyes, fatty, skinny etc??I am white so not the same obviously, but grow up chaps, opponents will do it all the more seeing what big babies you are if you react that way! apologies if I have offended anybody
! ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒
3.) 20 Feb 2026 20:27:29
He has a platform which maybe others don't and he's willing to push for change which is admirable. Maybe the fact that it interrupts the game spoils the spectacle but don't blame him for that, blame the racist.
Have no problem with him being criticised for the Bruno type antics but that is as common in elite level players as white people not understanding the gravity of targeting someone for the colour of their skin.
4.) 21 Feb 2026 09:42:06
I don’t want to get drawn into the actual incident as I didn’t see it. And maybe he does invite trouble, I don’t know enough about him. But IMO these sort of things are far worse in southern and Eastern Europe than in Northern and Western Europe. I remember going to games in the 70s where hearing monkey noises and players being openly called black @@@@@ was not uncommon . I think the attitude on the pitch can lead back to the fans and I wouldn’t want to see that return if it did I would stop going.
Because I thought it was horrible then as now.
I went to an event organised by ‘the West Ham way’ a few years back and the guest speaker was Anton Ferdinand and he was answering questions and he was asked about the John Terry incident when playing for QPR and you could see it deeply upset him as he was virtually in tears and maybe as a white person i don’t understand how no matter what you do you will only be defined by the colour of your skin.
5.) 21 Feb 2026 11:35:46
Any old Irish/ Hammer-D, you both have very good points and I was being short sighted and very ignorant of the situation, so I really apologise to people I may have offended!
I have just got so angry over the years with players that I feel are cheating in so many situations on the field of play in one way or another! The officials have a difficult enough job to do as it is? I still don’t think there’s anything wrong in words, it’s banter in my view, even if it’s offensive to somebody, laugh at them and shrug it off, they will soon get fed up with doing it? ⚒⚒⚒
6.) 21 Feb 2026 12:24:06
Hi Chelmsford you have not offended me in the slightest mate. I’m a red-head and ginger-ism is the only ism still legal ? so it’s all water off a ducks back to me. I was just trying to see why it might be felt by someone else (which is tricky) I think if you had a fat black bloke who wears glasses he wouldn’t be called 4 eyes or fatty he would have something else thrown at him, and it probably drags you down.
7.) 21 Feb 2026 13:48:52
Hammer-D, cheers mate?Well my Brother was a bright Ginge when younger (92 now?) but well toned down now, or what he has left?
I had a tint of it years ago but completely white now like Father Xmas?should be thankful I still have plenty?Let’s hope for 3 points this afternoon ????while others drop points COYI ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

CheezyQuaver, interesting login name. I worked for Smiths Crisps from about 1971 to 1974 as a van salesman, as we were called at Smiths for the launch of Quavers. I am now 81. ?? ⚒⚒⚒⚒
01 Mar 2026 16:11:37
Ewell56, Yes, why did we have Hermansson in goal? Areola is far superior, imo, despite what other posters think on here! Nuno bloody baffles me. I don't rate him at all, and I'm glad to see the back of him when & if he eventually goes.
Everything crossed for Wednesday. Chance of some point(s) there to catch up on Forest, who are away to City. Hopefully not much for Forest there, so 3 points could see us out of the bottom 3. ? ? ? ? Coyi ⚒ ⚒ ⚒ ⚒
18 Feb 2026 17:17:32
Hammer, yeah agree entirely mate zero? What a player he is??don’t even know how they can make that up and expect people to take that in ????⚒⚒⚒⚒
04 Feb 2026 20:30:29
Mac3, he’s a bloody slow learner, unfortunately he can’t change his boring playing tactics, said it a number of times before on here, my son in law is from Nottingham but is down here in Chelmsford for 25 years, says was exactly the same for Forest and he and lots of fans hated him for it, so never going to change Mac??⚒⚒⚒
04 Feb 2026 15:03:35
Mac3, since when has our current Damager gone for the Jugular? He doesn’t want to win games, managers are supposed to learn by mistakes, this one hasn’t, ??⚒⚒??

Final nail in the coffin surely. ?? Not surprised, as said previously, Spurs have a really good squad, but until it is mathematically impossible, it is still not over, although it looks that way. ?????? ⚒⚒⚒
02 May 2026 21:04:24
Irons87, Commentary said he was on his way down before the tackle. He was anticipating it. ? But when the refs are a homer?
Has it ever been so tight against bitter rivals for relegation in the PL?
It sounded like we played really OK, so luck was against us. But, imo, I expected nothing from this game after watching Brentford against ManU!. ⚒⚒⚒
28 Apr 2026 08:46:29
Watched ManU v Brentford last night. Thought B'ford were terrific, & far the better side for me. Thiago missed several great chances that he should have put away comfortably in the first half, & could have been 3-0 up.
On that form last night I will be happy to get a point on Saturday. Just hope if we do go in front, Nuno don't do his usual & try to defend after, as that won't be successful, imo. ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒
27 Apr 2026 14:53:33
Hammer-D, well done, mate, for at least having the strength of character to change your mind with posts about performances instead of crucifying players constantly undeservingly. ⚒⚒⚒⚒
21 Apr 2026 16:35:05
All the Bowen knockers give me the right hump. He's been great for us since coming here, he's not a bloody robot! Do these knockers think he deliberately plays badly? He's always running & chasing, plus the opponents are always wary of him, & he's an excellent example to the youngsters, & always capable of scoring.
? We'd be sick if he was pissed off with too much responsibility on his shoulders & wants to go at season's end regardless of what happens. ??⚒⚒⚒
