Ex reporting Just Walking Pace is not even in tonight’s squad.
Good, if true.
1.) 29 Sep 2025 16:42:17
Yep not even on the bus apparently. So i applaud Nuno straight away. Wonder if he will bring youth in or Rodriguez who, let's face it is rubbish!
2.) 29 Sep 2025 17:15:52
If he want an easy way to get fans onside stick posts in
3.) 29 Sep 2025 17:16:23
Potts!
29 Aug 2025 22:14:49
Magassa done. Official on the WHUFC website.
1.) 29 Aug 2025 22:27:12
Done by Noon?
2.) 29 Aug 2025 23:36:11
DOES NOT APPEAR SO, he cannot play on Sunday, in that case
29 Aug 2025 10:01:59
Fernandes confirmed.
In time for Sunday?
1.) 29 Aug 2025 10:37:51
Has to be registered before 12pm today. Hopefully we can get Magassa announced and registered before then.
2.) 29 Aug 2025 11:42:55
Pleased we got fernades to be honest he could be a real star
3.) 29 Aug 2025 12:10:16
Agreed, but to throw him in at the deep end against Forest might be asking too much of him this soon. However, we are desperate and so is Potter. Based on what we have right now, it’s not ideal, but on Sunday I’d like to see
Areola
AWB
Scarles
Mavropanos
Todibo
Potts
Fernandes
Diouf
Paqueta
Bowen
Füllkrug
But that’s not going to happen. I think this game will be won or lost in midfield.
4.) 29 Aug 2025 12:30:08
Totally agree with the above teamsheet tbh. We desperately need a centre back who can head a ball though. Once the decision was made to loan out casey (i agree with it) we shoulda been in the market for a centre back.
But the above formation works - 4-2-3-1
5.) 29 Aug 2025 13:28:17
The above set up/line up looks decent but Unless potter has had an epiphany you can almost be certain it will be 5.3.2 or 5.4.1
6.) 29 Aug 2025 22:33:04
Predicted
No hands
KWP
Todibo
Mavro
Kilman
Diouf
Just Walking Pace
Rodders
Fernandes
Bowen
Paqman
28 Aug 2025 18:36:02
So we’re after both Garcia (Leverkeusen) and Timber, but Leverkeusen are also after Timber to replace Garcia, if he leaves.
How does that work out?
1.) 29 Aug 2025 09:43:40
Leverkusen will get Timber and we will get Garcia me thinks
28 Aug 2025 09:22:28
Fernandes now back on?
1.) 28 Aug 2025 09:55:36
Looks like a £42m deal agreed
2.) 28 Aug 2025 09:57:06
Deal agreed medical done yesterday, Magassa still progessing. We are also still trying to do a deal for Quinten Timber.
3 in
3 out
Irvin
Rodriguez
Alavrez
This goes a long way to fixing our midfield
My worry is they will use this to justify selling Paqueta
3.) 28 Aug 2025 10:55:08
Can we send JWP back to Southampton as part of the deal
4.) 28 Aug 2025 11:01:31
If we pull that little lot off with 2-4 loans with options or obligations
Victor GK
Ake Def
Gueye F
Sangare M
Above being my choice, then we’ll have no excuses. As for Potter ….I was in the give the guy a full transfer window before judging camp however Tuesday night nailed him for me. He could have started a couple of the youth, at least Potts instead of either JWP or Rodrigues and/or put them on when we were 2:1 up . The guy really is clueless and obstinate and as many others have said on here keeps playing the same way in the hope that something will change. One saving grace is like TL said in a previous post Man Utd are as bad as is their manager who many people wanted on here. As for his replacement Schmid (who I admit to knowing nothing about) seems to have a good CV, Ange would bring back a bit of fun although would still probably take us down, Terzic who at least knows the club and again has a decent CV or Lampard who I know upset a lot of people but knows the club and the league. At this stage I’d take any of them
5.) 28 Aug 2025 11:02:20
Midfield will look a lot stronger. Still worrying defensively none of our centre backs can header a ball and we don't have anyone to score goals either

Let’s all hope Paqueta has his game of the season this weekend.
1.) 29 Nov 2025 09:17:36
I hope Diouf does as well because Mo Salah ruined Scarles career last season and I would argue Ollie Scarles is a better defending left back than Diouf
2.) 29 Nov 2025 17:58:31
Diouf can’t defend to save his life!
3.) 30 Nov 2025 12:17:43
Salah is not ruining anyones career, only his own atm ? benchwarmer
22 Nov 2025 17:14:54
Well that turned into the ugliest 2nd half we’ve had this season.
I question Nuno’s subs, but we got a point.
Pretty sure we’d all have talked that before kick off.
Forest battered Liverpool and we battered Forest, so the next game should be a doddle.
1.) 22 Nov 2025 17:31:15
* taken that
2.) 22 Nov 2025 17:31:48
And, yes, I’ve realised it’s Man U.
3.) 23 Nov 2025 07:50:42
I think you were right the first time markro it’s Liverpool next
10 Nov 2025 18:58:28
I’ve watched a few U21 games this season.
Kante is big and powerful: a hulk compared to the average he contends with at U21.
In the PL, however, there will be plenty of mega units of similar size.
He has drive, but lacks finesse. He is all about power and energy.
One for the future, probably, but I wouldn’t mind seeing him get a few minutes at the top level.
1.) 10 Nov 2025 21:34:09
I haven’t watched him throughout the matches the goals he has scored have been great and in the under 21s it’s like watching an adult playing in a kids side. I’d like to see him get some minutes
2.) 11 Nov 2025 08:35:28
He’s a bit rough and ready, needs a lot of polishing up, he’s championship level at this time, only my opinion
3.) 12 Nov 2025 04:33:56
Agree about him being championship level currently and there is talk of a loan move. Trouble is a lot of the championship clubs are changing managers/ in turmoil so its hard to pick where would be a good fit for him.
4.) 12 Nov 2025 06:04:57
I think we heard this argument with Potts last season. He is only championship level. People wanted him brought back from his loan period. Well he has more than proved he is better than that. What happened to us bringing in through players young most of these players spoken about are already in their early 20s which I know isn’t old, but I’m sure players like Carrick, Ferdinand and Cole were brought through earlier. I think the ones that suffer are the ones who are not physically up to the premier league players like Kante and Fearon would be able to cope with that side of things
10 Nov 2025 11:32:57
It occurs to me that being a useful midfielder in the PL isn’t about ultimate pace, it’s about acceleration over the first 10 yds.
None of Paq, Fernandes, or Potts have seriously high top speeds, but their first burst is excellent.
I think a Magassa has that too.
It will be interesting to see what Nuno does vs Bournemouth with Paq suspended.
Assuming Potts is fit, then he’ll start with Fernandes. Let’s hope Magassa plays alongside them and that he doesn’t consider Soucek, or Rodrigues for a central role, as they both lack that initial burst.
1.) 10 Nov 2025 13:28:29
I’d like to see Magassa replace him with Kante put on the bench and given some minutes.
2.) 10 Nov 2025 14:55:54
Hopefully, Nuno realises that Soucek is useless as a midfielder and only effective as an impact forward, as he usually scores by throwing himself at the ball. That’s why he sustains so many head injuries. He can’t be faulted for his dedication, but can’t pass a ball for toffee. Paqueta will be a miss against Bournemouth and Magassa is the better option to start, but I fear Nuno might opt for Soucek.
3.) 10 Nov 2025 16:05:32
I can’t see that to be honest tin. The other day he brought on Souchek for Potts and I thought that it was a bad move and I think 5 minutes of Thomas running around like a headless chicken was enough and he brought on Magassa for Wilson and then put Thomas up front. As you say you can fault his effort and like-ability but best kept away from the midfield
09 Nov 2025 11:55:23
Morning after the day before.
3 points is 3 points. Not a great performance, but that’s the second consecutive time we’ve come from behind to win.
Nino must be doing something right.
Fernandes - outstanding. Great engine, he was everywhere right till the end.
Brilliant news that Potts is only a dead leg, not a hamstring.
28 Nov 2025 18:14:49
Had a look at Promise David on YouTube (yes, I know, I know) .
It does show he has an idea of what he’s doing. Extremely strong on the ball and at 6’ 5” an excellent target/hold up man. Crucially, his first touch looks decent and he’s got good pace for a “lump”.
He looks up with the ball and his passing seems fine.
Depending on the price he looks quite a good option to me.
07 Nov 2025 18:29:42
He is a very strong CB. Played there loads of times in internationals.
04 Nov 2025 21:44:53
Perhaps he should give his signing on fee back.
Don’t cry for me.
04 Nov 2025 21:43:12
Alvarez played CB at international level many times, but I can’t recall him playing there once for us. Tenacious and very physical, he might be a decent option for us there next season, unless, of course Nuno pushes the club to buy another CB.
Fullkrug leaving is nailed on. He couldn’t hack the PL, which is far more full on than any other league in the world.
We must get a young, physical, fast front man in in January.
03 Sep 2025 14:30:25
One man’s meat…
Yup, I saw Paqueta try a few passes that went straight to the opposition too.
I also saw how hard he worked for the entire game. It was easy to miss that the third goal came from a solid Paqueta tackle that ricocheted out to Summerville.
He was everywhere.
I agree that he makes errors, but he can also do things on the pitch very few other players can.
30 Nov 2025 13:03:34
Agree with the tributes above.
A footballer’s footballer, not an actor like the modern lot.
Anyone imagine him rolling around on the deck if he was brought down?
22 Nov 2025 17:31:48
And, yes, I’ve realised it’s Man U.
22 Nov 2025 17:31:15
* taken that
08 Nov 2025 22:03:03
So close.
07 Nov 2025 18:32:53
We’ll win it, if we win the midfield battle and that means starting with Potts, Fernandes and Paqueta AND ensuring we press from the start.
Do not fall back and give them time and space int he middle of the park.
At the risk of sounding like Moyse, we need to run and run and run.
