My local newspaper is running a story that WH put in a new improved bid for Edvin Austbo today. Edvin wants the move.

I think it will come down to how committed West Ham are, and how much they want the player.
Too many times, we talk with clubs over players and submit lowball offers. Would be refreshing if we could make a proper, acceptable offer, cause he is definitely one for the future and we still don't have an adequate replacement for Summerville.

There doesn't seem to be a bid for this player in the last couple of weeks.
It seems that the winger is part of a host of enquiries into Scandinavian players, in general.
Apparently there was an enquiry from West Ham a while back to agent Jim Solbakken, he was quite difficult with West Ham, without words telling them he was looking for a team much better than West Ham, that ended the call.
You have to ask yourself the following question, Viking FC has apparently turned down two bids, one from Lille for 10.2 m, one from Como for 12.5 m euros, which is around 10.8 m.
So why, if those bids were turned away, would West Ham bid only 7.8 m? It would obviously get refused, doesn't make any sense to me.
There's a lot of folk chasing transfer news, making a meal out of this, one.
Further to that we have Soloman, and there is a possibility of Reiss Nelson coming in who can play both sides.
So West Ham cannot guarantee first starter in any case, even in the Championship, which was Solbakken's first question.
If West Ham want this player a minimum £14 m bid may be required, long way up from 7.8 m, so we shall see?
4.) He plays for my local club, really good player. Would do well for us. Short, stocky, rapid, and full of tricks. Probably gonna move on after Vikings CL qualifying games against Zagreb. West Ham should look at Falchener, also at Viking. 22 yrs, big, strong leader. Played against France in the WC. Future star.

Koppen is probably aware of your local scene, for now, WH are going for players to get them out of the Championship, and maybe don't want to take too many chances, especially in consideration of financial matters.

Yes, would think so. Copenhagen after Falchener. He's better than Langas, who Viking sold to Derby, but not as good as Disasi, who I'm hoping WH will get before the window shuts.

Daniel Job is Nigerian. He came to Norway two years ago from Future Pro Academy. He dropped down a division this year. He played 15-20 games in a division that is miles from Championship quality.
Austbo has been on the scene since he scored against Sligo when he was 17 in the Conference League play-offs. He gets supporters out of their seats.
