We are all over the place. Worried when I saw the team sheet and those concerns have come true.

Lucky to be just 1 down

2.) 20 Oct 2025

Getting battered at home by a mid table side that sold its best players, highlights where we are as a club, nailed on to go down to be honest this squad shows nothing

20 Oct 2025 21:01:39
Yep, all over the shop. We looked good for the first 15 mins, but since then we’ve dissolved. Soucek is non-existent, Paqueta keeps giving the ball away, and even Bowen is crap. As for Kilman and Todibo….

4.) 20 Oct 2025
20 Oct 2025 21:04:25
This is worrying, we have just no idea, got tochange it at half time
Our squad is so poor, there’s a limit, on what the manager can do,
Just 1-0 How is that possible

Many on this website have been going on about Scarles and Marshall. They are no-way near good and need experience in the championship.

6.) 20 Oct 2025
20 Oct 2025 21:40:54
Agreed Brooking. Scarles was dreadful as was the entire midfield. Its a car crash

7.) 20 Oct 2025
20 Oct 2025 21:43:07
So it wasn’t all Potters fault then?

8.) 20 Oct 2025
20 Oct 2025 21:47:19
Has looked embarrassing apart from first 15 mins.
I thought Todibo Killman scarles and Fernandez were particularly bad
Now playing with a back 5 we have a massive vacuum in the middle of the pitch.
Yep Robbo is right nailed on relegation if this continues

9.) 20 Oct 2025
20 Oct 2025 21:50:03
Absolute nonsense Brooking. They need experience in the Premiership. Marshall has plenty of Championship experience with WBA and Huddersfield, and Scarles needs to gain experience of the first team by gradual introduction as a regular sub.

ŶES it was me saying they are nowhere near any standard. For premiership, and I stand by that
We look nailed on for the drop
We got away with murder at the back
BUT WE can't SCORE GOALS, that is down to one man only NO STRIKERS NO GOALS, that’s SULLIVAN only, been saying it for months
Might be too late now, just don’t see us getting out of this

Worst I’ve seen them play for a while, wan bisaka n Summerville best players everyone else was shocking. I was ready to leave at 79 mins but father in law kept me there until 80, terrible, bad selection to be fair but I don’t think it matters, it’s the players that aren't performing at all. They will get another manager sacked.

I thought Irvine was the best of a poor crop. Paquetta is now a liability and the balance wasn't their at all. Doubt Mav will be fit for Friday so take it Igor will play or am I just praying

Tinlegs, fortunately you are not our manager. We are in a NOW situation. We haven’t got time to bed players in. Be real! Did you watch the game tonight? Obviously, you did not. Both Scarles and Marshall are miles off it. One started and one came on, both were 4/10. This season will be about coming 4th from bottom, not allowing players to gain experience!

14.) 21 Oct 2025
21 Oct 2025 07:16:12
I don’t profess to be our manager and wouldn’t want the job, but please tell us what is the advantage of sending, say, Marshall to a Championship side when he’s already spent time at two of them. Scarles didn’t have that bad a game when you consider Nuno played him for some unknown reason at right back instead of left back! And Marshall is a striker, and strikers need service which should be provided by a midfield which did not exist in last nights game. Or did you miss that? Geo on Hammers Chat, someone who IMO always is very balanced in his opinions, agrees. And your solution? Bring back Moyes and ship out two of our best young players! Utterly ridiculous.

15.) 21 Oct 2025
21 Oct 2025 07:54:42
What do you expect brooking if he is playing svarles at right back? Marshall has been brought on when we have been losing twice after half time and you want to judge him on that?
I'm not saying either are amazing but you can't judge them on last night's game, Nuno got that line up completely wrong, I stand by my belief that nuno is the wrong manager for us with this squad as they cannot defend

16.) 21 Oct 2025
21 Oct 2025 07:55:34
Tinlegs, as others have stated, with Moyse we were organised. I understand you are in a parallel universe of dreams and bright flowers, yet you must understand we are not in a situation to bed in young players. Be real man… for once.
Are you not the same person who wanted Will Still? Southampton are 16th in the Championship!

The youngsters aren’t going to get us out of this current predicament, they’re not battle hardened enough for the fight and I throw Fernandes and Mougassa into that pot. Jordan Henderson bossed the game last night and McGuire won the game for Man Utd the night before. Both of these players could have been at WH but were deemed passed it ….well I tell you now it’s that sort of player we are badly lacking, experienced no nonsense leaders because we haven’t got any! I love Bowen but the weight of being captain in this team is affecting his performances. Forget young pacy strikers in January we need a couple of experienced tough tackling leaders who’ll put their head in where it hurts and their hearts on the line to win a game, Craig Dawson being the blue print but sadly probably too old to be the signing although in saying I’d 100% have him over what we have at the moment

18.) 21 Oct 2025
21 Oct 2025 10:22:04
Totally agree Dabber. We need players like Maguire in centre defence, Henderson Centre Midfield. Now is the time for tried and trusted. 18 months back Moyse wanted Maguire and McTominay. Both would have been perfect for us.

19.) 21 Oct 2025
21 Oct 2025 10:23:00
I agree Dabber this was always a disaster waiting to happen, you blood youngsters in a settled team not a team bang in trouble, and to that end to say they are bad players is simply untrue they are just inexperienced

20.) 21 Oct 2025
21 Oct 2025 10:46:05
Brooking, no, I have never said Will Still was right for us. And correct me if I’m wrong, but I’m not the one on here referred to as “delusional”. It’s bloody MOYES that started the rot that got us in the position we are today!
Nobody is suggesting the young players are the solution, but getting rid of them isn’t either. We all agree that a rebuild is necessary, and the two players in question, plus Potts and Earthy, used sensibly, should be part of that rebuild.

21.) 21 Oct 2025
21 Oct 2025 15:25:30
Potts should be a shoe into that side young or not he is far better than the rubbish on show last night.

22.) 21 Oct 2025
21 Oct 2025 20:53:41
Brooking 100% right, I would have loved both but lots of obsessed “too old, need young legs” posts on here, not that I think either would have come to us! ⚒⚒⚒
