Sky just said Celta Vigo av accepted ours
and Valencia bid of 29 million and now
down to the player.
Valencia can offer him champions league
which could persuade him to join them.

So apparently spurs want to pay 35m£ for rice, are they only buying one leg then lol

arp3768

1.) 09 Feb 2019 09:40:20
How can the papers have the nerve to run such a nonsense story 35m haha rice will only ever go when man city make an outrageous bid of 70m+.

2.) 09 Feb 2019 09:51:56
I thought we’d moved on from being a selling club.

Make Rice on field captain next season.

Rumours are spreading that Yarmolenko is out for the season.

arp3768

1.) 21 Oct 2018 20:19:29
Doubt he will ever get back as good, Faubert was never as fast again and yarmo was struggling even before the injury! - need a Wilshire back who is fit and keen and smoke free.

2.) 22 Oct 2018 08:03:49
arp / geyser, yes according to reports he has ruptured Achilles so looks like a 6 months job🙈 as Guyser says he may never be what we hoped he would be, so we have to look at others to step up, like Diangana! Please MP do not consider any already injury prone players otherwise we might as well change our name to West Hospital United, of course unpredicted injuries will always happen but steer clear of the those with possible long term problems!

3.) 22 Oct 2018 10:47:22
Such a shame for Yarmo, wish him a speedy and successful recovery.
Pressure is on for others to step up to the plate now. Diangana, Holland, Perez can all play out wide for us, and Marcus Browne also has a lot of promise. We need someone NOW though, so maybe MP needs to look to a loan/ purchase in January, as we cannot rely and potentially rush Lanzini back.
Maybe Snodgrass has to play more out wide again, but i feel he is better more central. Wilshere in a wider role?
Antonio just doesn't fit the bill under MP, he has terrible final ball and limited creativity. Pace and power are his attributes, best as a CF.

4.) 22 Oct 2018 15:33:41
Perez for me, with youngster possible coming onn.

5.) 22 Oct 2018 14:10:32
No please not SNODGRASS nlckinho he ain’t a premiership consistent player and what I mean by that mate is he cannot give continuity on a premiership level just the odd good performance not great just good and we need more than that especially if your down the bottom of the table that’s my view in know it’s all about opinions mate and that’s mine . COYI.

6.) 23 Oct 2018 09:16:55
I know what you mean Worya, long term we do need upgrades, but i am sure those will come in the coming windows. What we have now is important though, and Iv been impressed with Snodders playing CM so far, and given injuries he is a serious squad player for us now. Great attitude.
Just a thought, as we clearly have not got Anderson fully going yet, but maybe we have options to switch things around slightly. Play Anderson on the right (seen plenty highlights of him there) and maybe Masuaku on the left infront of Cresswell?
Perez is also more comfortable on the left, so there's another option on our left, but know idea of Perez's defensive capabilities.
Could also suggest a formation change, but when MP has JUST got the balance in the middle right it would be a big risk for him to take. If he did, I'd keep the back 4 the same, Rice as DM and 2 CMs (all the same), but then maybe play a CAM behind two strikers. Like Allardyce did so well with Downing behind Valencia and Sakho for a few games, before an injury forced a change and Big Sam went back to his old ways never to try it again when players were fit again. Got to see problems as opportunities sometimes, and maybe this is our one to get Chica and Anderson to finally click somehow.

7.) 24 Oct 2018 11:54:30
Make you right on most things you've said nlckinho as we must stick with two holding midfielders and an attacking midfielder which I think WILSHIRE can do when fit I know it's a big when fit also who much has RICE improved on the ball and his passing range the only thing is he's going to get an England call up soon and that's when his injury's start I hope not as not every player gets injured on international duty but it's not ideal losing your best players and he's definitely one as is BALBUENA and I know he's only got 7 caps but now he's getting premiership coverage he's going to get called up fingers crossed he don't as he will be travelling all around the world. COYI.

06 Jul 2018 09:29:00
Looks like Wilshere deal almost done
Let's hope we keep him fit
I can hear the stadium singing
We've got wishere Jack Wilshere I just don't
think u understand he's better than Payet
He's Pellegrinis guy we've got Jack Wilshere.

arp3768

1.) 06 Jul 2018 10:22:50
That song doesn’t really have the same ring to it haha!

2.) 06 Jul 2018 10:27:56
Arp . I was trying to get the words in line with the tune but didn't quite make it, I think Wiltshire is a good addition but not worthy of a song lol lol.

3.) 06 Jul 2018 11:22:56
TK Hammer

How about this version

We have just signed Jack, Payets not coming back, I just don’t you understand
He’s Pelligrini’s pick, he’s better than that French Pr*ck and almost twice as quick
We’ve got Jack ( a West Ham man)

MOTD state that Billic about to be sacked
and Moyes in by Monday.

arp3768

1.) 04 Nov 2017 23:39:35
what joy.

2.) 05 Nov 2017 01:46:08
Bilic has to go not over the moon about moyes but il get behind him and give him my support he deserve a chance.

3.) 05 Nov 2017 08:15:01
I would prefer allardyce to moyes. Hr was useless at sociedad and relegated at sunderland.

4.) 05 Nov 2017 12:27:08
He may not be top choice to many . But . who else a. Is interested b available? Think hard how many about tick both boxes?

5.) 05 Nov 2017 13:23:26
Well said.

6.) 05 Nov 2017 21:30:13
Koeman is available, quite like him if he were to come.
Lot of gossip about ancelotti but in all honesty cannot see it.

7.) 05 Nov 2017 22:07:22
Carlo Ancelotti would be amazing, but I’m confident that is a step (or 3) too far.

Personally my choice would be Ronald Koeman. He is available, he has a point to prove after being sacked by Everton. He did a great job at Southampton on a mediocre budget, saw some of his most influential players at Southampton sold to bigger clubs and still built a competitive side.

In my opinion he was unfairly treated at Everton, he saw Romelu Lukaku sold, obviously gave the board a couple of names to replace him and they failed. Ok he invested heavily during the summer, but it’s no secret Everton were chasing Giroud up until the last minute, and there was even talk of a deal for Diego Costa but for the fact he only wanted to return to Spain. If you don’t have an out and put forward on the pitch, you won’t score goals and you won’t win games.

8.) 06 Nov 2017 00:31:48
Would we have to pay compensation though?
Im all honesty don't know how manager signings work.

Second game in and 2 injuries already
Me personally I would of started with
Antonio and alteji.

arp3768

1.) 17 Aug 2019 14:34:08
Ogbonna in too, interesting.

11 Aug 2019 12:52:03
Few people on here talking bout Masuaku
as a left winger, it's a no brainer for me
I would also play someone along side rice
and not one of our flair players, I'd play
snodgrass over Sanchez there as noble
injured and snodgrass will give some steel
Thought Fredricks needs to stay at RB and
Johnson at left back
My team for Brighton
Fabianski
Fredricks Rice Anderson
Diop. Snodgrass Lanzini
Balbuena Antonio
Johnson

Haller up top.

arp3768

06 Aug 2019 18:42:15
Fabianski major doubt for Saturday, if I
wasn't already worried I certainly am now.

arp3768

1.) 07 Aug 2019 11:11:03
I’ll take a point now, if offered.

What I really want to see though, is that we look good going forward with all these attacking options.

20 Jul 2019 10:56:40
Just watched the first half against Newcastle and we look very poor
Yes I know it's a friendly and it's humid
and everything else but we are well off the pace, don't seem able to keep up with a Newcastle team that are a very average side at best.
Hopefully Wel improve in second half.

06 Jul 2019 12:07:25
This is my spin on arnie
He joined us and was awful got sent off
early on too, Moyes moved him up top,
with his goals that saved us from going
down so actually saved us lots of money.
Last season he was bang average, no
personality, not good enough for our club.
If him and his muggy brother need a lift
to the airport let me know!
Neither of you are welcome at our club
GOODBYE GOOD RIDDANCE NOW
DO ONE YOU PAIR OF MUGS.

arp3768

1.) 06 Jul 2019 14:02:31
I’ve always had the feeling that he believes the world owes him homage.

2.) 06 Jul 2019 21:46:47
ARNAUTOVIC owes an awful lot to MOYES who turned him into a NO 9.COYI.

3.) 06 Jul 2019 22:23:42
In a nutshell.

4.) 06 Jul 2019 23:17:14
This is my order of our reported striker targets No.1 GOMEZ. NO.2 BELLOTI. NO.3 SILVA. NO.4 MITROVIC. NO.5. RONDON. having looked at SILVA I really wouldn't mind him he's very strong on the ball and looks tailor made for premier league football but its very close out of GOMEZ and BELLOTI and either or would IMPROVE our 1st team no end but we still need an athlete to play alongside rice a box to box runner with an eye for a goal we need kouyates stamina and a footballer which sadly KOUYATE wasnt but he had an incredible engine as we can't rely on JACK staying fit but I would love to see him get a season of fotty under hisbelt because you never lose your undoubted quality but your fitness and abilty to stay fit unfortunately you do but we shall see as he's got a lot of ability that for me isn't in question. COYI.

5.) 07 Jul 2019 13:17:31
agree Whorya48. i think we are terribly light in front of that back 4. they were exposed time and time again last season. Rice can´t do it all on his own. needs another engine in there!

I understand what your saying glen, however
I don’t think we are clinical enough to outscore
our opponents as our defence is too weak.

Anybody else concerned that we have not
strengthened our defence or holding midfield
area as last season we got over run in both
these areas.
Our full backs are not great, Diop and Balbuenna
have been suspect on occasions, rice can’t
hold the midfield on own, Sanchez is poor,
noble is too slow .
I’m actually quite concerned for our season.

I hope we haven’t put all our eggs in one basket
with Gomez as time is running out.

I feel we need to sort out defence and centre
midfield as a priority and go back to basics
Fabianski

Cresswell and zabaleta as fullbacks
Then 2 from ogbonna Diop and Balbuena
and possibly all 3 but think Pellegrini will want to
only play 2 of them
Sanchez as holding midfielder wif Wilshere
Then arnie on left, Yarmolenko on right
and Anderson playing the 10 behind Pérez.

I agree, first 30 mins we were ok
Why was Antonio taken off he was an
attacking outlet for us that allowed city to
push more forward.
Rodri even tho good needed to be carded
for constant fouling
Thought Haller and Fornals were ok
Our season won’t be defined by that game
crap start to the season tho.

arp3768

{Ed001's Note - Antonio was injured. All 3 subs you made were due to injury. Though I know it is a shock that Wilshere picked up an injury.....}
