Joy of joys, it seems moyes has made his mind up (only took 4 transfer windows) that the striker he wants is Albert Gudmunsson (isn't he an attacking midfielder)?

Agree17 Disagree0

06 Feb 2024 22:02:39
Looks like he is officially an attacking midfielder but a quick look over the past few seasons shows him at LW, AMC, RW, CF and this season mostly a secondary striker. Does seem to score and assist quite regularly though, whichever position he's deployed in.

02 Feb 2024 10:19:48
My associate, who actually works in connection with WH , was right in predicting Ekitike to Eintracht, some weeks ago, , after WH broke some kind of agreement, he has alluded to our lack of purchases in window, being Moyes selections not viable as he's not wanted past end of contract, WH could have got Ismael Sarr over 2 weeks ago apparently it looks like, Moyes selections not wanted, and maybe Steidten has promised to stay on after summer, and the present limbo with blocking Benharama and Fornals and Cornet was put into place to stop the squad being too thin until summer, it's his version of events , or shall we say a possibility? I personally don't go along with this computer and / or paperwork failure .anyway it's another way at looking back at a ludicrous window

Agree20 Disagree0

02 Feb 2024 13:17:29
But if we were never going to bring anybody in (and therefore not release any of our squad), why go through all the rigmarole of protracted negotiations?

02 Feb 2024 17:39:32
It's a joke run by comedians that are not interested in the club, just the money and limelight it brings

02 Feb 2024 21:19:20
You only have to look at the money
Rice was sold which covered our incomings ie ward prowse Alvarez etc also sold was shamacca and vlasic for approximately £25-35 million it’s been well known that we was close to our ffp wage limit for the club once we signed Phillips on £150 k a week wages we needed to cover those wages I don’t know but moving fornals kelrer n benrhama on is another lost window all on the back of DM pursuit of Phillips I just think could have strengthened the team in better areas

02 Feb 2024 21:25:50
I’m glad we didn’t get ismael sarr from what I’ve read seems to have an attitude problem this from his Watford days maybe one of the Ed’s could enlighten us .we basically put all our wages on Phillips hence no incomings I’m not saying he won’t improve the squad but I would have looked to strengthen elsewhere

03 Feb 2024 07:57:05
I have no doubt that Philips will improve as a player and will improve us. However, we didn’t need another CM, but it seems he’s brought him in and is making one or two of the CM’s to play right and left, now you and I can see this is just stupid…. so can someone please tel me how a “veteran” PM manger doesn’t see it. Fair enough he signed Philips, but everyone he signs he doesn’t play straight away he “beds them in” so play corner left, it’s not rocket science. But I agree we should have. Erm strengthening elsewhere.

02 Feb 2024 20:18:05
I reckon someone, somewhere realised at the very last minute what a complete and utter balls up has been made of this transfer window and tried to pull the plug on the Benny and Fornals deals.

Unfortunately for them FIFA has called the clubs bluff. Someone's head should roll for this, whether it'll be the actual perpetrator or a sacrificial lamb we'll have to wait and see.

If no action taken against anyone, then we can probably assume that the actions in this transfer window were deliberate from the outset, which really opens up a whole other can of worms about the directorship, management and running of this football club.

03 Feb 2024 15:26:41
Yep and even better news, west ham are about to offer moyes a contract extension.it just gets better.

26 Mar 2024 01:06:15
Kalvin is pants, i hope we don't keep him too!

01 Feb 2024 16:46:37
Benrahma to Lyon looks done as I've seen a pic of a Lyon fan taking a selfie with Benrahma who is wearing a Lyon tracksuit top 🤷

Agree16 Disagree0

01 Feb 2024 17:18:49
I thought we were not letting players go unless we had a replacement?

01 Feb 2024 18:09:28
Armando Broja to Fulham, here we go! Agreement reached on loan until the end of the season for £4m fee to Chelsea.

Broja will complete medical tests tonight in order to sign later.

01 Feb 2024 18:39:20
Apparently we did approach Chelsea for broja but Fulhams offer was more appealing!

01 Feb 2024 20:05:15
I must be the only one that doesn't see anything in Broja that even remotely deserves all the hype he gets. That said, it's the sign of a really poor team when a poor player like him could come in and actually improve it.

02 Feb 2024 07:53:09
Benrahma must be thrilled to have been shafted by his current (and continuing) employers.

02 Feb 2024 13:46:40
Regarding Borja I agree with Billy. I think he is totally overrated. The other week Chelsea scored 5 or 6 goals in one match. He was playing as centre forward from the start of the match, and didn’t score one or even an assist.
I think he would also be a total Moyes type player and one small hope is that we didn’t go for him because hopefully at the end of the season we may be a Moyes-less zone 🙏

02 Feb 2024 14:17:58
I'm in agreement with what's been said about Broja. Totally overrated.
One can only hope that Moyes is for the chop at the end of the season, but why, oh why has Sullivan put the fans through a season of misery with the sh*t football and dashed transfer hopes, other than to save a few bob on compensation? It's an indication he couldn't give a toss about WHU. All he's interested in is his pocket. Moyes has to go, yes, but he's only part of the problem. The sooner Sullivan, and his brand of secondhand car dealership, goes, the better.

02 Feb 2024 21:52:01
I'm not so sure on BROJA I think there is goals in him tinny just my opinion but we desperately need a vocal point up front as I'm not convinced one iota that BOWEN is a striker he's an out and out winger for me and he was constantly having balls launched up around his neck and he just isn't that type of player although for his size he's very good in the air but he's no Number 9 that's for sure and silly bollocks DD having his head in his hands when a ball is played in the air to BOWEN and our opponents win the ball it's his proxy tactics and style of ball his killing us and it's all down to one clown DD.⚒⚒⚒

03 Feb 2024 04:45:07
I agree. Just not Broja.

26 Mar 2024 01:07:16
He's a witch . oops that's Bruja

01 Feb 2024 12:32:30
Benrahma and Cornet out perhaps today and loan for Broja? Get the feeling we have to shift a couple before we bring anyone in. Broja might let Ings go to Celtic. Huge domino-based window I think

Agree22 Disagree0

01 Feb 2024 15:42:18
Palace have agreed terms over potential Maxwel Cornet loan but move still hinges on West Ham being able to sign a replacement.which is doubtful. Whispers of ismaila sarr on loan

01 Feb 2024 18:38:10
The left-side was supposed to be where we need strengthened and we are letting both Benrahma and Fornals go. Let's hope this mystery loan deal doesn't fall through, also gives moyes an excuse to keep pushing paqueta out on the left and keep soucek nd jwp centrally.

26 Mar 2024 01:08:13
Young Clarke of Sunderland is a promising left winger we could possibly get.

31 Jan 2024 20:39:05
Not sure if this is common knowledge but just seen that Liverpool are considering moving in for Tim Steidten as their head of recruitment.
If true it is very worrying

31 Jan 2024 23:06:31
Discussed below.

01 Feb 2024 07:04:46
They've agreed a deal with XABI ALONSO tot ake over at the end of the season when KLOPP goes so guess who is next on the hit list especially as the DIRECTOR of FOOTBALL is also leaving? If our let lose him because of our sheer incompetence during transfer windows, then am done with these clowns

01 Feb 2024 07:50:36
I get what you mean Daisy, it's incredible. What do we reckon Paqueta has the same mysterious long term calf injury that cornet had. All these poor signings who moyes wanted!

01 Feb 2024 11:44:56
Cheers Tinny I didn’t notice that 😃

01 Feb 2024 12:14:37
No problem. We’re all guilty of missing stuff. 👍🏻

31 Jan 2024 11:03:06
Apparently Jonathan Clauss has been offered to us and if its true we should be all over this as we desperatley need a decent RB and he is so much better than coufal. Perhaps ED might know a little more on this.

{Ed002's Note - Jonathan Clauss (RB) Bayern Munich enquired but the player does not want to be cover only. Galatasaray have a declared interest in taking him to replace Sacha Boey. Marseille have made clear to his agents that he is available to be sold this month and they are hawking the 31 year old around.}

Agree15 Disagree0

31 Jan 2024 14:01:58
As always Ed002, your insightful and accurate updates throw much appreciated clarity on a very foggy confused January transfer window. Thanks again Ed

{Ed002's Note - You are welcome.}

31 Jan 2024 17:20:57
Wolves are set to succeed where West Ham failed by signing Tim Steidten striker target Yuri Alberto it has emerged (we are useless)

30 Jan 2024 17:54:27
And knowing we need a striker, we now turn our attention to Le Havre CB Etienne Kinkoue? IS IT ME or have we lost the plot

Agree22 Disagree0

30 Jan 2024 23:03:02
No point in getting a striker Moyes doesn't know how to use them.

Never heard of the guy but if he's a young talent steidten has identified then I'm all for it, that being said haven't seen any credible sources report this one yet.

31 Jan 2024 06:26:53
The more worrying thing is the rumour that Liverpool are seriously interested in Tim Steidten. With Sullivan dithering between backing Moyes or Steidten, I wouldn’t be surprised if Steidten says “F*ck it, I’m off! ” Now that would be a disaster, Sullivan made.

31 Jan 2024 07:47:00
Yeah agree Tin. We have made some calamitous decisions but if we lose Tim Steidten to liverpool it would be a disaster. If let loose their is a reson why the guys is called "The PEARL" its just that Sullivan brought him in and he hasn't been allowed to do his job because of MOYES. Seasons end, Moyes runs out his contract, TS stays, we get a good manager who actually listens to TS and brings youth through instead of selling them all.

I'm afraid our owners have tried to pull thw ool over our eyes for far too long and typically we all take it and move on. About time Sullivan cashed in his chips and went somewhere else

31 Jan 2024 11:30:32
Ideally, I’d like to see Sullivan driving Moyes’ taxi on a one-way journey.

31 Jan 2024 11:45:39
Ahhhhhhhh and of course its all now starting to come to light. KLOPP leaving and Liverpool targetting XABI ALONSO. What better way of getting Alonso but by bringing TIM STEIDTEN to Anfield aswell. All makes perfect sense and I'll bet a fair amount of money he goes and Moyes is offered a new contract

31 Jan 2024 12:03:57
You just know we'll end up keeping Moyes and losing Steiden.

31 Jan 2024 13:03:13
Plain as the nose on your face. WHU will never amount to anything with Sullivan in charge. We had the chance of a lifetime with Tim Steidten. Moyes should have been shown the door months ago, and we should have forged ahead with TS the driving force. I fear we have missed the boat. Hope I'm wrong.

31 Jan 2024 14:20:01
This is all typical west ham under the clowns we have running the club.

02 Feb 2024 10:15:30
Tinny sorry I can't agree with you that Moyes should have gone months ago it should have been years ago

02 Feb 2024 15:01:44
To top it all, Fulham get Broja on loan and says he’s delighted and can’t wait to get started to show the fans what he can do! What a f——- joke that is, not that players should automatically choose us but why not join us, can only be the type of defensive Football we play each and every week plus a Manager like Moyes, that’s all I can think! So pleased I’m an armchair watcher only and not travelling to sit through that lot of tripe that Moyes and Sullivan has turned this club into! ⚒⚒⚒⚒⚒

30 Jan 2024 16:41:02
Brighton in for Osman now. 20m+3. Where there is a Will there is a way and Unfortunately we don't have the will.

Agree20 Disagree0

30 Jan 2024 17:21:53
We are all over the show, bid just made for MAKOUDI AEK C/ half, looks like we will finish up with one signing, fans are getting fed up , with all this transfer committee business, just leave it to Steidten that’s what he’s there for, we have far too much competition for this dithering about, and it would be suicidal. To let players go with this thin squad, we tried, BUT looks the likely riposte

31 Jan 2024 17:51:45
It's all BS. What would have happened if we had been struggling?

26 Feb 2024 11:26:57
The above is now rhetorical, as we are clearly now stuggling. Largley in the wake of the transfer window, where we lost Benny and Fornals and gained a past it CDM.

29 Jan 2024 18:04:28
Jota would be a great signing and I'd be happy with him and Phillips in this window . COYI

{Ed002's Note - Jota (LW) West Ham and Crystal Palace are trying to find a way to end the nightmare the player is having not being eligible to play for Al-Ittihad. There are issues to resolve - a loan would require his full wages to be paid and simply moves the issue down the line. A fee to recover the €30M they paid celtic for him and reduced wages and resolution of a tax issue would please everyone and allow him to be purchased.}

Agree17 Disagree0

29 Jan 2024 20:53:10
Looks like a 13th bid going in for Carlos Bacca!

30 Jan 2024 14:53:56
Leaving it very late for jota deal

{Ed002's Note - There are a couple of days to go.}

30 Jan 2024 16:29:49
A move for Al Ittihad star Jota to West Ham United is very unlikely this month due to tax issues so BANG goes another one! Are we counting how many times this happens?

29 Jan 2024 14:14:26
Spurs are now considering a move for Nordsjælland winger Ibrahim Osman if he does not join West Ham this month.
Monaco, Wolfsburg, Gladbach and Bologna are also weighing up a move for Osman

Agree17 Disagree0
