Are WH preparing a bid for Francisco Gatti of, Juventus? 35 m euro? Big move, good player, would he come to WH?

Not sure why he would leave Juventus for us. My question would be why are we going big on another CB we've already invested the best part of 100m on our cbs, closer to 120m if including aguerd, when our midfield is so terrible?

Unless Todibo would go the opposite way for a similar fee or man u are sniffing around again.

Only stating some of what’s heard, there’s a question mark over Todibo, as you are aware anyway, but, for every player suggested, in WestHam news there’s another two that are not, that’s the picture, WH are asking about a lot of players, lots of unheard names coming up, no question that WH are using data methods in seeking these people out, wether they go for some of them remains to be seen, but I think they will take the plunge on someone

What happened to Stassin and kvistgaarden? Odd that interest in them has died off?

I doubt it's died off, it's the way sullivan operates. They'll go from one target to another then decide who is the best value (cheapest) that's why people have described it as a scattergun approach.

Maybe it'll work better with data led targets or it'll just mean the net is cast even wider.

Iron Ai, it doesn't matter who the manager is or who head of recruitment is while sullivan is here he will pick the targets it's the same names as last window and window before that ade reader thierheads again now, and will get worse as window goes on I really think this next season could be a disaster, potter isn't the right man anyway, add to that he won't get the players he wants and what we've been linked with so far is basically a downgrade in every position, he will be gone by Xmas sullivan will then blame potter for everything get a new man in and expect him to save us from relegation with 2 loan signings in January.

How can we not have any money? We moved stadium for this remember a "world class team in a world class stadium ' rubbish? Well thanks to the clowns that are running the club we will have ' a championship team for the championship '

I don't think he picks the targets, I doubt he watches any football outside of West ham, he'll definitely manipulative things to get the players he prefers. Whether that's players wanted by the manager, dof or being offered by agents.

Whinge whinge whinge! Always the same ones too.
To put things into perspective! We don't have money because of the heavy spending not just last year but for the past 5 years.
Once we have sold players, we can buy players. This is not a West Ham policy, this is a policy implemented by many clubs.
Transfers will happen and players will be signed (many of whom have been mentioned above) when we have sold some players.

Who are you referring to?

Most financial experts say that west ham are very comfortable and nowhere near PSR. 5 years ago is irrelevant as its based over a 3 year period however the money spent was largely down to money from the sale of Rice. The owners can cover loses up to 90m but they won't which is fair enough that's their perogative. What a lot of fans are sick of is the lies coming out of the club using psr as an excuse, and how terribly ran we are, probably one for the worst run teams in the league.

WE don't HAVE THE MONEY? Don't talk so ridiculous. It's fookin sullivan who is nervous about backing Potter. And as for whinge whinge whinge, who asked for your opinion? I forget, people can't view and say what they want on here because of people like you

That's a bit harsh Mac3, this site is supposed to be here for everyone, and COYI64 is entitled to say what he wants. All these players being mentioned are sheer speculation mostly by journos, who don't really have a clue who we are or aren't in for. I just read the speculation and laugh to myself and don't believe anything until I see a photo of them in the famous claret and blue. I don't like the board anymore than the next supporter, but I will say they spunked 150+ mil last year to go backwards so of course they are reluctant to spend fortunes again. Declaring we have no money to spend is a good thing, think back to when we appointed Pelligrini, Sullivan did the big un and said we had vast millions to spend backing the manager, result we paid millions more for every single players we bought. Just be patient judge and moan at the board once the transfer window is closed.

Gerry, totally agree, I won’t be passing comment on any dealings until they are pictured in the shirt. I’d rather we quietly go about our business to be honest. It must an absolute minefield the transfer window and as much as I dislike Sullivan I doubt many of us could do better ….
