On our way to Liverpool. Pleased that Wirtz and Isak are not available. Isak always scores against us and Wirtz is beginning to look a fabulous player.
I think we'll nick a draw today, as long as we attack and don't drop deep. Liverpool look a team which have gone a little stale. Fingers crossed.

Brooking, well done, mate. ? True fans, you travellers. ? ? Let's hope it's worth it for you travellers, it must cost you small fortunes, so you deserve lots of luck & something to cheer. ? Just hope if we're fortunate enough to go in front, the Damager doesn't try to shut up shop, as he certainly won't gain anything from a team of this stature, & if he hasn't learnt anything from past mistakes, then he's an even bigger xxxxxxxxx than I thought he was! Coyi.

Sorry, mate, unless we create miracles in the second half, can't see us nicking a drawer today.

Task to get out of trouble looking too big, hope I'm wrong, but if you're looking for others to lose, it's never going to end well. Still got 10 games to go, still an outside chance, but that's all there is, an outside chance.

We haven't been bad, but you have to be honest and ask if we are good enough for the Premiership? We tried hard. No question. We weren't rubbish, far from it, but are we good enough? That's the question.

Didn't see it, but listened on the radio. It sounded like we gave it a go, but poor defending on set pieces, which is a bit annoying, as recent displays we may not look like scoring a hat full but don't look like conceding. This may seem like a silly criticism, but one thing that bothered me was the bench. With our chairman not buying any players, leaving us too short in squad numbers, we have to have more potential striking options on the bench, even if they are poor youth players.

To have 5 defenders, Todibo, Scarles, KWP, Killman and Mayers, 1 midfielder Kante, a winger, Traore, and 1 striker Wilson as the only possible striking option is a poor decision. We have to give someone from the youth team a chance, even if they are likely to be found wanting. The bench was defensive overkill.

We are on our way. It was a good game. We missed a few chances, as did Liverpool. Neither side can defend. Could've been 7-4. Good performance.

Good performance? A 5-2 loss against a poor Liverpool side that can't defend? Good performance?. ?

It was a good performance. We didn't give up. 3 goals were deflections, and we missed a couple. No-one was grumbling when leaving Anfield, and the atmosphere was good. We never get anything at Anfield.

Agreed, Brooking. 2 deflection goals and 3 set pieces were our downfall, but our heads didn't go down, and we had plenty of our own chances. Bowen looks a shadow of the player he was. That's for sure.

You sound like Captain Smith on the Titanic, saying, "But we would have broken the trans-Atlantic record" just as he was drowning.

Tin Legs, it was a very strange 90 minutes in that, as Brooking said, the performance actually belied the scoreline. Even the commentators said the scoreline wasn't a true reflection on the game. They were no way better than us, and 4 of their 5 goals were a little fortunate. I am going to call out AWB though, who was absolutely shocking. There was no effort to try and get back in position when caught out of possession, kept backing off for their 4th goal, left his back post for their 2nd, and generally didn't look up for the fight.

Bowen had to keep tracking back to fill in for him. Generally, where the performance was better is that everyone else was up for the fight, we looked good going forward, and it wasn't a confidence sapping loss. The scoreline says we were battered; in reality we weren't.

I only saw the highlights, so it is difficult to give a proper view. As Dabber said, AWB had an absolute mare. But I think he has so often been our best player and got us out of the brown stuff on many an occasion, so I won't be too critical of him. I heard Bowen was poor as well. It sounds like a slaughtering, but most are saying it was a misleading scoreline.

I hoped for a draw, but it is a bad result, especially if others take advantage today. But, let's face it, it is a ground we have only won once in the last 61 years, so it was not a banker missed, whereas the reverse game at the LS was.

Our squad is to thin on numbers all our U21s are going for next to nothing and I watch the 21s and AYALA has got something i cannot believe he hasn't even been on the bench yet he has got German and English clubs very interested and he's next out the door.

He is stripping every asset we have got and that i'm sorry broken record but its down to our transfer dealings they are completely shocking business deal look what we paid for PABLO I think his release clause was £15 million and apparently we paid close to £23 million nice work nuno and sully back pocket envelopes i'm telling you SULLIVAN is rotten and there's a big rumour going around that will finish him if it comes out ?? and he's bricking it i can't mention it for obvious reasons but our once beloved WHUFC is close to become a Sheffield Wednesday and financially are in a better position than us so so sad.COYI⚒️?⚒️?⚒️

I could only listen live on the radio, but last night I watched a recording of the game streamed. In no way would I call that performance "good". It was adequate at best. AWB and Bowen weren't at the races - they should have stayed in bed. Why is Areola on the bench? You see, I think half our problem is supporters like Brooking just accepting an adequate performance as "good" enough.

For me, it's not. I want my team to play like every day is their last. Something has gone out of football that was always there in the past. Ewell56 is right about Sullivan and the club. There's a limit as to how much can be squeezed out of a football club, and we are very close to the limit. The accounts speak for themselves.

Bowen is certainly not enjoying his football at the moment for sure. He holds on to the ball just a little too long, and his cutting in onto his favoured left foot is becoming predictable for opposing defenders. AWB has brownie points in the bank, but many more performances like that and they'll soon be spent. I totally agree about the state of the club.

We have to hope that the rumours are true and Sullivan gets his just deserts. We then need a bit of Hollywood-type cash injection, like Wrexham, Birmingham, and Swansea, to raise spirits, mood, and security. Sadly, I think we're going to have to go through pain before things get better, though.

Regarding the squad depth and the board, what Ewell says is true and the vast majority of us know that, and have been saying so for yonks. I mentioned the bench in an earlier post. The Sheffield Wednesday point is sadly the most relevant to our plight, to come relegated or not.
