Slaven to sign short term contract till end of season after Arsenal game is my take on things as Sully will get his way. If they are going to do it get him in now to work with players, going to lose next to with Potty in charge.

Stupid the rumours floating they want to let Potter take charge of the next 2, so the new manager has the international break and an easier fixture to begin with.

Just get rid of him and put Noble and the u21s coach in they play good football, we might get a bit of bounce with those in charge for Everton and Arsenal, then new manager in for international break and another bounce against Brentford.

Although our better players will be away on international duty during that time isn't ideal.

I can’t understand all this talk about Noble. We all know he was a good player and West Ham through and through, but that doesn’t mean he’ll be any good at coaching. Remember Bobby Moore? And who says he wants to coach? Maybe his preference is as a director of football. I admit I haven’t followed his career since his technical appointment at WHU and I might be wrong, but love of the club and ability at playing is not an automatic passport to coaching. What we desperately need at the moment is a proven coach, even on a temporary basis.

Sir Trev did a great job when he stood in. But as you say doesn’t mean he (noble) would do a good job. I think the under 21s manager would be a great shout but that tw#t Sullivan won’t let him take the reins even for 2 games

@tin, point is I think Noble and Robson will get then coming out fighting until the new manager comes in after Arsenal and I doubt they do any worse than Potter club seems happy enough to write these games off.

And who may that be Tinlegs? Lost count of the amount of people that have asked you the same question.

YAWN

Al, I agree, but I don’t think just geeing up the players would be enough. Robson is a good shout though. Keen would also have been a good fit for a temporary post until a proper Director of Football could make a decision, had Keen been a bit younger. The point is, I think an established coach should take temporary charge as caretaker until an appointed Director of Football is in a position to choose his head coach on a performance indicator basis. This is the direction the club should be moving, not just appointing a manager replacement which would just start the manager merry-go-round again. Change has to start somewhere.

IronGeez why are you having a pop at Tinlegs? Give the guy a break.

I agree with Tinlegs, a temporary coach appointed to avoid relegation and to avoid a knee jerk incorrect long term appointment is needed imo. In order to put some stats around this I think we need to win 11 and draw 5 of the 32 games left this season in the hope that 41 points is enough to stay up. That means we need to win 34% of the remaining games. The following stats are taken from wikipaedia :

Dyche - 34.41%
Nuno - 48.13
Bilic - 44.53
O’Neil - 31.00
Benitez - 48.3 (since 2019 29.9%)

As Nuno is likely to only want a long term contract of the 5 above Bilic is the safest bet, all the others are likely to take us down.

Yesterday I said Dyche but having read the stats I would say he’s likely to pick up more draws than wins and again would take us down

Unai Emery?

No sorry Gerry point stands. He is quite happy to mock Brooking everytime he posts. Everyone else has asked the same, don't see you calling them out.

All he does is moan and can’t even provide a solution.

So tiresome. I actually think Tinlegs gets hard over the thought of the team performing poorly as it gives him something to moan about.
