Personally, I feel Nuno's time is up. We have the biggest wage bill and the best attacking players, but this manager does not use the team to its capabilities. Who we get next is anyone's guess. We are now too small for Eddie Howe, Carrick is unavailable and probably not good enough. The obvious choice is Parker; he's got Burnley, Bournemouth and Fulham promoted.

Why are you continually following the same mistake as our useless board are. If we run like a proper football club, they would have someone lined up. Someone maybe that most of us had never heard of. Like they do at Brentford, Brighton and Bournemouth. Or even someone who is currently employed elsewhere. Parker may have got other teams promoted but is a dreadful manager.
We want someone who plays good football, and before anyone says it's not important how we play I would argue our last 4 managers including Moyes have all been cut from the same boring cloth.
I would like to see Mckena given a chance. Someone who looks like he has a plan. Bellamy might be okay but as someone else said may end up like Bilic, great for one year then poor thereafter, and I didn't realise he has never managered at club level. Let's face it Wales are a pretty poor excuse for a football team.

Brooking: "Personally, I feel Nuno's time is up.”
Really? ? What happened to your prediction of "easily winning” the Championship?
A sensible post, Hammer-D. I'm not convinced Bellamy would be any good. Maybe now is the time for one of the young up-and-coming German managers? I very much doubt our board have the bottle, but something has to be done.

Yep I would like to see that tin. It's got to be worth a try, It can't be worse than the rinse repeat cycle we have been in for about the last 10 years.

Best attacking players, ! Brooking where are you watching from ?pablo is beyond useless, Taty has declined appallingly, piroe never was,, this is the WH you said would make the championship a procession,!
Teams like Boro and saints were ready a month before kick off, there was always going to be huge competition to get in the premier league, your reading the wrong room mate
Teams like wba and Swansea are a suprise, but the above two are not, never where, this is a tough league, where the stats are correct, 2 points a game needed for promotion,
Best squad in the league,on paper maybe, but what does that mean ? It means they are not being managed properly.
Unlike many I have not been a Nuno critic, for me I like to see how things play out, but it's clear to see now, it's time to say goodbye.

Ive still got no Doubt. this is by far the best squad in the Division. But there's something clearly amiss when you see areola Alvarez and magassa can't get on the pitch. Even Josh ajalas reward after scoring twice against Southampton in the carabao cup is to be immediately dropped.
and surprise surprise JWP is doing well at Southampton after being frozen out. He's got no idea on how to use Bowen either. Keep Nuno and we won't make even the playoffs. it reminds me of macari era good squad. but the players don't enjoy playing for the manager.

When we got a lot of players in, within a short time pre season, it looked good but that's it, it looked good we do have a good squad on paper BUT our forwards are shocking, defence play like they have just met, so ask yourself is it really that good a squad ?
I'm convinced that a lot more could be gained from this squad, but it's unlikely with Nuno, we have too many niot getting a game, why ? Why is Hermansen still in goal ? Why can't Magassa and Alvarez come on even as subs, there's something wrong.

Taty should be performing a lot better. Bowen is keeping us in the games. Solomon Austbo are expensive players, Engels another expensive player, Magassa flatters as does Kante. Both should be performing better.
I still think we will win the league.
I'd have Parker, he's got 3 teams up in year 1, and that's what we need.
Many of here wanted the young Icelandic lad in the team, it's lucky you are not managing the side! You mention German managers, but no names?

Thomas Frank for me because if and when we go up we need a manager who knows the Premier league.

Frank would be a good shout.

So what did the Icelandic youngster do wrong, Brooking?. You say he was at fault for the second. I didn't actually see the game but heard numerous reports most of which said Ausbo was the only player to come out of the game with any credibility. So not sure what your comment is about. I think the German manager comment is just a generic comment meaning that if our club was run professionally there would be names brought up that probably not many of us will have heard of.
Many have been German or Spanish think when Eddie Howe and Thomas Frank left their positions at Bournemouth and Brentford many said those clubs would go into decline but both were replaced by unknowns who have done a better job than the originals. The same with their players.
I don't like to dig people out or ridicule their comments as it is an opinions forum but your comments are in a world of their own you are so out of touch.

Well said Hammer-D.
Brooking: " You mention German managers, but no names?”
Nonsense as usual. You have a short memory. In May I suggested several names to replace Nuno. At that time, these might have been s reasonable shout (my post then):
"Maybe Ole Werner, manager in Leipzig or Merlin Polzin, manager in Hamburg or Sebastian Hoeness from VFB Stuttgart or the Freiburg manager, Julian Schuster.”
Obviously, time has moved on, but the German league is an ideal source for young up-and-coming managers.
