Why all the midfielders if we'll have Kante, Magassa, Potts, Soucek, and poss JWP? Is one of them leaving?

For me, I'd back Magassa and Kante - big potential with enough game time.

Good question. Agree with comments. There was a lot of interest early on in Kante and Magassa, which has faded since West Ham established a price for them. However, all the people you have mentioned are not creative, perhaps that's the missing ingredient?

Kante is very raw, Soucek (injured) and JWP are old and slow; the latter is disliked by Nuno. Potts and Magassa have quite similar profiles. We need players that are better in possession, who can control the game and help unlock defences, as a lot of teams will be sitting back against us.

We also need midfielders that have the potential to step up to the prem next season. I think we should be signing 2-4 if including attacking midfielders also.

There is no creativity in our current midfielders, this has been a problem area for some time. I like Magassa as a dm, Potts and Kante should be ok in the Championship, but we still need others.

JWP and Soucek have no pace between them, yes we need attacking midfielders if we play with a formation that uses them - Nuno didn't last year, but we also need playmakers who can pick a pass, which we have none of.

Hope not, Tin, but he is still there drawing a wage, but I had hoped Soucek would be moved on, but his injury put paid to that.
