Many don't rate JWP, yet he is significantly better than Rodriguez - who gains a place on the subs bench. This, I don't understand.

I don’t have much time for rodregez but I don’t think JWP is better than him. But it’s like arguing which is better a morris marina or Austin alegro . The fact is they are both crap.
But JWP takes it because that waste of space was put on big money on a ridiculous long contract by Moyes. And was continually picked by our worse ever manager, Potter!

Would prefer to see academy player take that place on the bench tbh. Earthy would be best bet or marshall when fit, but Nuno seems to like a defensive change. Also at CDM surely bringing on magassa over rodriguez if it came to it so yeah wasted space on rodriguez imo.

Different type of player but he's really not significantly better, at set pieces yes but that's it unfortunately. Rodriguez had some of the highest ball winning stats in la liga and europa league for betis while walking pace has spent most his career in a relagation battle/bottom half the prem.

Either way neither should have been signed, one was an expensive free the other we ridiculously over paid for, still winds me up that Moyes sold Fornals on the cheap, refused the likes of Youssofou fofana and Rios, so that he could sign prowse.

The difference is JWP has had significant playing time over the last year and has been the biggest problem within our team it's obvious to all that can see how much better we are without him in the line up, Rodriguez is terrible also but has not had anywhere near the same amount of minutes as JWP to bed himself into the team, both crap but JWP crap over a longer period of time
