As I said before on similar topic it is simple, best Croatian players (Modric, Mandjukic, Perisic, …) playing in top EU clubs and not interested (unfortunately) in WH. It seems that we so desperately want to sing someone (players like Coric, Halilovic are maybe good for some Championship team not for WU) that we pull names of some players that I am not sure if they are football or basketball players.
I think we have to be calm and target only 2-3 high quality players that can make difference. If injuries spare us, we have solid squad already and with addition of only 2 -3 player we can go for top seven this year.

Hernandez is not a shadow of the player used to be when he was playing for MU, Modeste style of play is good for bundesliga but not for PL. Waste of money in my opinion.

My thoughts exactly Ironmike, especially considering that he is very popular character in Croatia and was fan favourite from the days when he was national player and latter head coach of national team. Answer to your question is maybe that biggest Croatian stars like Modric, Rakitic, Perisic, Kovacic, Mandjukic. are all playing in top Euro clubs (Real, Juventus, Barcelona. ) and have no intention to come to WH : ( . The only two that I can see as a possible good singings and that we could get for reasonably low price are Domagoj Vida from Dinamo K. (he is on Besiktas and Leicester radar) and Lovre Kalinic from Gent. First is CD but can play on almost all def. positions, second is goalkeeper who previously played for Hajduk Split and in just six months become best goalkeeper in Belgium league. One more Croatian player just come on my mind as potentially excellent addition to WH team, Ivan Santini from Caen (we are apparently interested in his teammate Karamoh) . He is striker who scored 18 goals in 38 matches last year and be perfect for our style of play. Not to mention he is much cheaper than for example Giroud Regarding Turkish players I don’t think that style of football in PL suites them (Tore is example) and don’t see any of them good enough to play in WH except maybe Arda Turan from Barcelona (again out of our league) .
