Looks like we're in talks to sign Modeste?

We are in talks with modeste for 20 mill and he scored 25 times last season, we are also in talks with bakambu of Villarreal who scored 22 times last season and not only is he a striker but he can play on the wings.

Won't happen, Modeste is priced at 35 mill and as usual we have gone in way to low. and while we are at it thought we were going for " proven premier league strikers" once again . embarrassing!

It seems as though both bids for modeste and Bakambu have failed. Nearly 50 goals between them last season. One plays as a number 9 and the other from the left, exactly what we need! Weve been linked with a lot of strikers lately. can't see Giroud coming off, Batshuayi will probably go to Everton, Inheacho is complicated so that leaves Modeste and most recently Hernandez. Again difficult to see us getting Hernandez but would love him at the club. Although personally Modeste would not be my favourite of these choices there's no doubt he would go straight into our first 11 and improve the team. However ridiculous price tag for his age and the fact that his only been prolific recently. At the price we apparently offered he would be a welcome addition and probably the most realistic target. Bakambu is exactly the player we need and I believe he would slot in perfectly on the left. Would be happy for this one to come off.

Modeste was the guy who scored 0 in 9 for Blackburn in the premier league yes.? . then relegated!

mmm not a great stat. I guess the Premier league and Bundesliga are quite different prospects! . we saw that with Nordveit as he was touted as a top player in the Bundesliga before he struggled (he's own admission) in the PML!

Plus he's getting on now. rather have Giroud at least he's proven at this level!

Bakambu scored 11 goals in 21 starts and zero goals and 1 assist in 12 substitute appearances. He also played through the middle when he started not sure if he played out wide as a sub.

That's not bad but I think that info from the telegraph is wrong. Also if you are interested there are good websites to find out all these stats. Won't post the names not sure if that's ok with the eds?

Hernandez is not a shadow of the player used to be when he was playing for MU, Modeste style of play is good for bundesliga but not for PL. Waste of money in my opinion.

I don't agree with your Hernandez comment but do with your Modeste one. so you get a like and dislike at the same time.
