Yes, I think most of us expected that to be the case. It makes the most sense.

I think I read his last 4 seasons in the Championship: he scored 22, 19, 14, 19.

I'd be happy with the average of that! (18.5).

Still only 27, so should be at the top of his game. Decent fitness record too, I believe.

If we are promoted, what then happens to him?
What sort of wage/contract is he likely to be on, and would there be a Championship team next year that could afford him?
West have employed a DOF, and yet seem intent on ignoring most of his recommendations, and buying players chosen by a manager who is unlikely to be there in 6 months, especially if he doesn't become aware of his own shortcomings.
