no shakiri? surely a massive oversight much like sleeping in on jonny evans for 3.5million then trying to sign dawson for 12.

Seems a bit odd that we have obviously classed Anderson as our top priority dare i say marquee signing but yet we won´t pay another €3m to get him! . mmmm either the money being reported is incorrect both sides and we are much further away than we all think we are or something does´t smell right!

Typical West Ham. Was all going so well too haha.

Cant keep saying yes when they keep changing the goal posts, Price just seems to keep increasing. It time to say take it or leave it.

{Ed002's Note - The goal posts have not changed at all. West Ham want the player, Lazio want a certain price and the club has not offered that amount. It should not be too difficult to understand.}

there is no doubt other clubs are keeping an eye on anderson and wouldn't be surprised to see him get his move. This is just the same as the carvalho situation all over again, If we really wanted him sometimes you just have to bite the bullet and pay the asking its a big statement and other targets might see that and know we are serious about creating a strong team under pellegrini.

Ed. Any insight as to whether the asking price ever "moved" or whether we've been short from the start?

A lot of the info out there implies there was an original price, we met it, and then it got bumped.

{Ed002's Note - No, that was never the case. It is fine to negotiate but if a compromise cannot be agreed people will move on. If WHU want the player then they have to find a solution with Lazio. It is really quite simple.}

Sometimes a deal can be done and sometimes not, don’t forget people that with all the fees and costs then weathams offer might be there top limit anyway, football transfers are not simple or the asking price anywhere near the final price .

Ed - Are you sure? Sullivan not paying the asking price for a player, no this cannot be correct, surely. (insert sarcastic tone and roll eyes) .

Hi eds just wondered if lazio are one of few clubs that are difficult to deal with? I remember havi g the conversation that hammers lyon ect can be quite hard to deal with.

{Ed002's Note - Not at all.}

This whole Felippe Anderson saga just stinks of another typical Sullivan debacle that drags on all summer where we continually haggle and haggle for a cheap bargain and then the deal falls on its backside like previous deals with Bacca, Dendoncker etc etc etc. If we want the player then pay the money for gods sake and stop going through this same farce every window with at leats one player. If we are looking elsewhere then why did we approach them in the first place? I don't get how we work? Don't get me wrong, I think we have done ok so far with Business done, but we still need to learn how business is done in the world of the big boys especially if we expect to compete. Get Anderson, Bernard and Seri and DenDoncker and sell our under performers and BRAITHWAITE is PLAYING FOR DENMARK LOL.

16mill for elyounassi-every bit as good as anderson-both of which would be great additions, just wonder why 1 is 20mill more than the other.

If ever I've seen an ideal replacement for lanzini I've just seen him for tea from ath madrid they are so similar in the way the play it's scary and I think he's unhappy at his lack of game time the only stumbling block Mike would be the price as I recall not long ago being valued at close to 45 million euros we will see if anything happens.
