According to BBC West Ham are targeting striker Willian Jose (Real Sociadad) - 9 goals in 20 appearances this season - anyone got any views on this?

SO DID Vincent. Jansen whom WH tried hard to get, he opted for Spurs, thank goodness for that. Enough said, ITS VERY HARD to call when predicting how someone will do in the premier league, it's a different pace and physicality to most other leagues, regards IRONMIKE.

Some of our fans were desperate to sign Hogan, I know he got a bad one the other night, and I don't wish that on anyone, but he's hardly setting the place alight is he? We need to make the right decision about our strike targets, personally I'd prefer to try and resurrect Bony's career.

I think we need to be re-evaluating what our scouts are doing because some of the crap they are identifying is shocking.

Does anyone know what's happened to William Bony?

And yes, I know its Wilfried Bony who is out of favour at Stoke and his attitude has come into question. Could we go for him and get him back to his best with regular football. He's strong and can take a hit could be ideal or will we waste £25m+ on Sturridge who will break a toe nail in the first month and be out for the season.

I'm not sure Bony is a viable choice Phil. I see what you are saying about "made of glass Sturridge" especially considering we have two injury prone forwards in Carroll and Salho already. However Bony is on substantially higher wages than anyone in our current squad, and he ha been terrible since moving to stoke. It'd be a costly gamble in my opinion because he looks perfectly happy sitting in the bench and collecting his monumental salary each week.

My main two striker targets this year would be Andre Gray from Burnley and Iheanacho from Man City.

I would also like to see us go for Dominic Solanke, he is leaving Chelsea at the end of the season after failing to agree terms and has a very bright future if he reaches his potential.

{Ed002's Note - West Ham would not meet Solanke's wage demands.}

50k a week he want Is that true.

{Ed002's Note - Which is why Chelsea has no interest in him staying.}

Hiya peters regarding your post on William Jose I said three months ago we should look at him having watch him numerous times he looks top drawer I don't think he's a 25 goal a season striker but 15-20 probably it he makes a lot of awaits and his ability to hold the ball and bring others into play is very good so for about 15-20 million I think we'd stand a chance, the only downside is he hasn't been at sociedad for very long and he's a crowd favourite.

I like the idea of Iheanacho or Chicharito both would be even better.

forgetting his injury record, Sturridge talent wise is by far the best striker we have a realistic chance of his goal record in Prem league and at international level speak for themselves, I would have liked to see bony get chance last summer wouldn't touch him with a barge pole now on massive wages and clearly can't be bothered

by the way we have never had a 20 goal a season striker since prem league begun di canio has been closest with 16 think cottee was our last in top flight in 86-87, Everton haven't had one since gary lineker that's how hard it is to get a top striker just saying.

Citeh would be willing to part company with Iheanacho with a buy back clause?
