Becoming clear why Sullivan wanted Massimo Allegri, to manage WH, first, he didn't want to become manager in title, until July 1st, instead he would manage the players, through , , perhaps a West Ham under 21 coach etc, he wanted no payment for this, and would attend all games, and training, as a private citizen, to sort out the players tactics and transfers required, so he would hit the ground running, next two year contract, option third, first year 100k a week, bonus of 1 m if we hit top 10, second year wages. 140k a week 2 m bonus top if 6, third year ( if he achieved that ) 160 k a week 5 m bonus top 4, , if not he would walk away, or renegotiate, this is why Sullivan wanted WH to use our own in house caretaker, instead Mr and mrs Peschisolido, pushed Potter to Sullivan, and it is what it is, it could have been very different?. We don't know how it would have worked out, but Allegri although his fierce temperament comes out now and again, is the polar opposite of Timid Potter, he's renown for his organisation, and his transfer targets, which were not in the realms of stupidity, he knows the European game and players, backwards and forwards, we all have to make choices, WH did, was it right or wrong, we shall see

Well currently he couldn’t really have done worse. I suppose it depends if they decide to keep potter and if the results and performances dramatically improve.
Would he still be a possibility or now we have messed him around has he walked away?
I have to say I don’t know anything about him I always get the feeling with Italian managers they tend to be like Capello. But I suppose Lippi and Ancelotti are not such sergeant major types.

I think that boat has sailed, but you never know, Allegri, had already done a strategy for WH, starting with, 8 younger players coming in………….Potter? I don’t know what plan he has, or even if Sullivan, wants to back him, the way things are moving, or actually not moving it, doesn’t look like WH want to spend big money on Potters choices, under the current circumstances, it’s understandable
