VITOR ROQUE, offered to WH, // It was always going to come to a payoff for both Zouma and probably Ings, , Zouma was never going to pass any professional football medical, he failed our own badly 3 years back, Moyesi insisted, to buy him, he done well for 2 years, last season found him out, Ings is never going to go on his own accord, and won't get another job like he's got now for 125 k a week, sitting ion his backside! negotiations with both to end contracts, may well follow, WH need to clean; up the squad, and get PLAYERS on the bench, NOT bench warmers, the cost would be small against the overall. Budget

Yes a lot of rubbish to throw in the bin but les face it, it had to be done. We must be prepared not to expect too much at once but give Lopetegui time to blend the new players in and get WH to play attacking football instead of defend from the off.
Perhaps big Sam might learn what to WH way is'

I still can't see Ings going as with him we have only got 7 homegrown unless we are buying homegrown, the other thing is no one is going to take on his massive wages even if we pay him off.

If we pay him off, his contract concludes, what he then does as a free agent is his business and nothing to do with WH

Yes but that is only 22 players allowed in squad if he goes due to homegrown rules!

I’m sure, WH are aware of all the ramifications involved, their very savvy, at the legalities end

Which makes the season long loan of Marshall and Earthy odd

IT does at first glance but both players TBH need a years match experience, so they are out on loan, making way perhaps, for more incomings? Having no europe this year may work in our favour, lot less games and travelling, lot less pressure

I have a gut feeling we are going to go for Ivan Toney very late in the transfer window. I just can’t see him seeing out the last year of his contract and there is little movement for him from any of the so called bigger clubs. I just wonder if Steidten feels that we could get him for closer to £30 - 40m the later we leave it. Of course this could well be dependant on losing Ings £125k per week off the wage bill and more. Toney of course also ticks the home grown box. I for one would see him as the icing on one amazing cake!

Impossible to say, Brentford are still under the impression that, Man Utd or Chelsea, are going to come in. For their player Next week, ? // IF Brentford had been more realistic 2/3 months back, then WH may have had a punt! But we we’re told no talks under 50 m plus 8/10 m easy add ons, WH CANNOT spend that kind of money on ONE player at this time, he will fetch a LOT less than that now, poor work from Brentford, re Toney, they thought Toney would be the subject of an auction, if they had been more savvy, he would have been sold by now

Dawson won’t return. Not because he never enjoyed his stint at West Ham but because he’s always lived in the Midlands and wanted a club closer to home.
Also, I think he’s a little old for Lopetegui to even consider him.
I’m with you guys on Antonio… keep him as an impact player at least. He’s a handful even at his age.
In never got excited about signing Ings and my view hasn’t changed. He runs about looking out of place like he doesn’t know what his role is or what’s expected from him. Quite frankly he’s been a disastrous signing. The only player Moyes signed that was his idea worked out was Bowen.
JWP hasn’t been in the best of form. His free kicks haven’t been great. However, I think this season is the acid test for him and he has to shine or next year he’s gone.
Zouma and Aguerd that Moyes signed have been disastrous last season. For a manager that used to be a defender himself, they have been poor signings overall.
Cornet still has the jury out on him not being given enough game time. I think he’s a confidence player and his confidence has wained sitting on the bench.
Phillips was a disaster from day one and I never saw him even have a purple patch for 15 minutes in any game he played.
It was signings like these that scuppered his chances of getting an extension to his contract or in fact given money to spend.
Kudus and Alvarez, clearly the clubs best signings last year were Steidtens choices and good ones at that.
I think the board asked Steidten to stick around having explained that the writing was on the wall for Moyes and that when they replaced Moyes, funds would be released to him to allow him to support next manager with no interference from a manager as clearly arrogant and stubborn as Moyes.
People applaud Moyes for winning the first trophy in 43 years, but let’s be honest, albeit I was pleased to win Europa conference cup, many managers prior to Moyes could potentially secured that cup if it existed during their tenure.
I for one, thank Moyes for very little. He like Moyes overrates himself. His failures as Real Sociedad, Man Utd and Sunderland are a reflection on his real talents. He’s spent a HUGE amount of money at West Ham and the best he could muster last year was 9th. Now he’s having digs at the board and the fans because he was ousted.

164; where are all the pundits now, who said plenty of clubs would be CLAMOURING for Moyes , are they? Errr well it’s gone very quiet on that one
