Wondering what everyone's thoughts are in Spurs appointment of De Zerbi? Do we think it will have new manager impact or will he struggle as he did when he first joined Brighton.

Different manager, but same players. It'll go down to the last game. I think Leeds will go.

It's a shame they have over a week to get to know him if he was straight in with a match I think he would have struggled. I think he's a good manager but also a disciplinarian and a bit erratic which maybe isn't what a team like them needs.
Tudor whilst inferior as a manager was also little like that.
On the subject of Spurs, for those who remember funny how we don't hear anything from that idiot, 'the Raver' anymore.

Apparently their fans are not happy about it, so it could turn if he doesn't get off to a good start. From what I've heard, it will take a while to get his methods across, time he doesn't have, so maybe he will try something different just to keep them in the league. Suppose it depends how the players respond. His training sessions are meant to be good and intense, so it might get them going a bit, but if they play risky football it could backfire, hopefully.
If we play like we did pre Villa, we should be ok, but it's that tight, feels like one win completely changes how things look.
I also don't want to see Fernandes in the 10 again. He's miles ahead of anyone else in the team for progressing the ball, none of the other midfielders are that good at it, so he's wasted there for me.

Hammer-D, I'd forgotten about the "Raver". Was he a Hammer or an imposter from another site?
Also, I'm unsure how posters can differentiate between managers on this site. I can see if they have managed us at any time, but I am not a tactical man at all.
My football mind is still stuck in the 60s & 70s!
The game has become far too complicated from such a simple game because of too much money involved. ????⚒⚒⚒ COYI.

Hi Chelmsford. Yeah, The Raver was a full on Spurs fan who liked to come on to the West Ham banter site to give some stick when we were having one of our many crisis and they were in better shape. No surprise he is nowhere to be seen at the moment. ?
I have sometimes had a look at this site for other clubs who, like us, have been struggling.
Leeds and Forest, in previous years, all get a decent amount of posters and comments. Just interested to see what their fans think and say. The weird thing is, if you look at the Spurs banter site there was only one comment in 2025 in total, and the same for 2024. It is like the Mare-Celeste of websites......
You're not wrong about money ruining the game. ☹️

Hammer-D, thanks for the memory jog, mate. ?
Yes, of course he was. Something told me he wasn't one of us. ? Not that it matters, but was it just 1 comment by the Raver in 2025?

No, it was some random comment. Maybe the memory bank of the comments somehow got deleted, or we now know why he would make comments on our page, as theirs was shut down due to lack of interest. ?
