I hear talk now of extending Cresswell's contract AND the baord may not look to replace Moyes at the end of the season after all. The only thing I would say is "Look at Newcastle when they had Benitez, Bruce etc". They were dreadful. They brought in an attack minded manager in EDDIE howe and he has transformed them. If possible, we need to do everything we can to get Brendon Rogers. Then watch us next season :-)

For whatever reason, Moyes has been forced into reluctantly abandoning his defensive football strategy. The results speak for themselves. It’s clear Moyes has to go, even if we win every game left. Let’s get one thing settled - Moyes does not have the competence or desire to change his firmly held belief in the “Moyes method” of negative football.

The current change is obviously sourced to the change in attitude of the talented players now playing with the Moyes shackles removed. They are no longer playing “the Moyes way”. They deserve a new manager.

Others will say different dude because of the sudeen upserge in form and of course if we should win the Conference League there will be even more clamour for him to stay, but I firmly believe that its time to move on from him and bring in a manager with a more attack minded approach. Now whether its Rodgers, Potter, Will Still, Carrick etc am not sure, but what I believe is that Benitez would be a wrong choice. Why replace a defensive minded manager with another one? Overhaul this ageing squad with hungry, younger, fitter players, get a good manager who isn;t afraid to play youth (cause we have some stars in our youth team) and attack and we will be heading in the right direction

{Ed001's Note - you really don't want Bodgers. He is terrible. Everyone thinks he gives youth a chance, but he will buy crap to replace them as soon as he is given funds, even though it is only youth he does well with. He is a good coach, hence why he does well with young players, but a dreadful manager with no idea about man-management. Older players soon tire of his idiotic soundbites. He also struggles badly tactically as he does not understand the game. That can lead to dropped points simply because he does not figure out what the opposition is doing quickly enough to make a difference. On one occasion at Liverpool he needed over 180 minutes and hours of scouting footage to understand a simple system an opposition were playing. Needless to say it cost Liverpool in both games as he was just scratching his head, rather than making changes to counter it.}

I agree with extending Cresswell’s contract, I think he is a class player contrary to some other posters. Also agree with Ed, not in the Rodgers camp or Benitez camp at all as Daisy said, to old!
If we keep playing as we have been and Moyes could maybe have seen the error of his tactics, they will hang on until the end of his contract?

I don't really care who we have in charge as long as we see good attacking football week in week out.

Would like to see Cornet get given a run of games and hopefully we'll see the best of Scamacca next season injury free.

It will be interesting to see if the Rice money in the summer is put back in to reinforcing the first team.

I am of the opinion that Moyes is incapable of admitting he’s been wrong and, in effect, the supporters were right. There remains a major question mark over his tactical abilities. Look at his poor attempts to change strategy with his substitutions. They clearly indicate he is bereft of a plan B. His laughable comment on not being an expert on Danny Ings (after his several failed attempts to sign him before he finally succeeded) also shows he lacks knowledge of the modern game. If this club really wants to move up a gear, it’s got to be without the anchor brake that is David Moyes.
Cresswell has been a great servant of West Ham, there’s no denying that. He is still one of the best crossers of the ball. His big problem is one that affects us all. Age creeps up on everyone and is obviously having a detrimental effect on Cresswell’s mobility. His only negative side has been his inability to defend as well as his attacking skills. It all boils down to whether the club can afford to keep a player who is visibly slowing down. I wish him well.

We need to satay away from rodgers in my opinion, his philosophy of football is great there’s no denying that, but manager wise not so, he's proven almost everywhere he been when he gets to year three/four his head goes and the wheels fall off. Firstly, I would like to see boro go up being 30 miles from them, and think Carrick deserves it, however if they don’t, like tinlegs said we should be all over making him our next manager. It doesn’t matter to me if we stay up, finish at the top of the bottom half of the table and or win the conference league trophy. Moyes is done, he's had a few good results but because a fossil he sticks with them players and doesn’t rotate as he lacks any kind of tactical brain, which with all these games this month has killed us, he has to rotate it’s a no brainer. Yesterday was one of the games we should be winning that we have left we all know it so it was a bad result, and that’s that, with both Manchester clubs coming up next those three points would have been good. It’s still going to be down to the wire now. Emerson for me was one of the worst buys, when him and Benrahma play together we are screwed. So best outcome in my opinion, we win leeds Leicester possibly get a point from Brentford and Man U at a push. And hope all others around us don’t do better.

Great summary whitby! Carrick would be a good choice. He learned his trade from some of the best ie fergie, mourinho, van gaal. Sensible head, ex west ham and his team plays fast flowing attacking football.perfect. moyes is finished as a premier league manger. Players look burnt out at the most important part of the season

Michael Carrick has for some time been my first choice for our next manager and Whitby puts the case well. He’s one of the few young progressive managers who might actually want the job! Come on Mr Sullivan, do something the fans will really thank you for.
