Looks like the Newcastle takeover is going to go through. I think that means they will have the richest owners in world football.

We definitely will need new owners in the next couple years to establish ourselves as a regular in Europe.

Yes if you consider in a season or two Newcastle are likely to be up around the top with Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd, Liverpool, it doesn't leave a lot of room for qualification for Europe without spending money.

Might take longer than a season or 2 considering they could still drop down to the championship this season but definitely they will be a force in the future with that kind of money at their disposal. I've lived in Newcastle for the past 20 years so it's en extra Derby for me, the irony for me is as much as they hate Mike Ashley if it wasn't for him running the club the way he has done they would be a lot less attractive for a super rich investor as they can come in and spend a lot of money without having to worry about FFP.

Their first job is to distance their club from Mike Ashly so i think their priority will to get a high profile manager in to replace Steve Bruce, if they are smart enough they should bring in Shearer mebe not as manager but some sort of advisor which the fans would love, it would take 3-4 months to get the right manager unless they already have one in mind, it will take time just like Man. City did when they were taken over replacing Mark Hughs with Mancini.
There first priority is to keep in the Premiership so Bruce will be their until Christmas.
What a great club to buy i wish them well although i wished they had purchased WH.

I see Rio has suggested they go after Sterling, Lingard and Rice, it was bad enough when he was suggesting Man U go after Rice, but Newcastle? does Rio have no loyalty now he is a BT pundit? Maybe he isn't allowed to, but backing PAI, saying how he supports the club and the takeover attempt, and then suggesting other clubs go after West Ham players, he should stop trying to pretend he cares as he has made his position very clear.

Attracting top players will be hard until they climb the league, i think it will take 2-3 seasons before they start competing for the premiership then the champions league.
It will take time but what a journey they are going on i say good luck to them and to buy a club like Newcastle for 300 mil. was good business.
Their is no way any one will buy WH at the valuation which has been talked about for a club that doesn't even own their own ground.

Their first hurdle is persuading St Maximin to stay.
