I wonder if Arniie’s absence was more sinister than feeling “ill”?

Markro, I would say yes having seen this sulky man child’s absence due to so called “injuries” since the China transfer saga came about in December! Since then when he has been on the pitch he’s been anonymous anyway, sooner he is not around the club the better for me!

Lets see what happens tomorrow, I for one ( after being at city wed night ) believe that an Arnie with the sulks and a fever is better than AC, but let's wait and see.

Realistically, AC had little to do because he got very little service. We were on the back foot for almost the entire game and defended as well as we have done all season. He even had a difficult chance on target with his wrong foot resulting in a very good save from the keeper.

Having said all of that, the game has passed him by during his long injury absences and he is now far too one dimensional for modern football. He should not be offered a new contract and should be a part of the wholesale frontline clearout we need in the summer. Perez has shot his bolt with MP, Chicha isn’t good enough to be the one up top and the brothers Arnautovic should reap what they sow.

I’m looking forward to the arrival of at least two new, high quality strikers before next season.
