What does discussion after the window closes mean? All I can think is it is a discussion about being somewhere in January or he can move on? Or change of contract so he has a release if a Champions League club comes in for him? What else? Am I being too negative?

WELL obviously he won't be allowed to leave in THIS window AND VERY unlikely to leave in January, BUT after receiving a much enhanced contract WHAT would he want talks for AFTER the window, I don't know, BUT I can only think that arrangements are being made for the next summer window? Everybody is entitled to their own take on this BUT talks will fame place, next weekend, IRONMIKE.

I'm gutted that we never made a approach for him he is a great player but if he ain't at westham in the prem I hope he flops.

Surly if payet is only staying for this season and will go next season he's asking price will drop from £50m to about £20m max as he will be nearly 31?
