Napoli, Inter Athletico, Arsenal, are all now chasing for Fernandes. WH would be seriously mad to allow ManU to steal him for £52 m.
Whichever way you look at it, WH must maximise this sale, as it is the key money maker they have. Others will bring in funds, no question.
But this is the main one. With all these clubs chasing, WH are under no pressure whatsoever. £65 m is the minimum they have been advised to take; they should also insist on minimum 50% up front, and two seasons maximum for the balance ………. Joyfull

I would agree, start at 65mil - I generally believe in a few years' time he will be one of the best in the world.
If we then can bank another 30mil for Summerville, that's pretty much what was needed this summer in terms of money coming in on transfers.

I thought we should be aiming to get 70-80m.

But we know Sullivan will rather sell cheap, so he doesnt have to put any of his own money in. Also, generally, what would be the point in selling Summerville for 30m. 5m more than we paid, keeping a player of that level ensures youre in with a chance of coming back up, which is worth a lot more than a 5m profit on a player, considering Gordon is going for 80m, who I dont think is as good as Summerville.
Same goes for talk of Bowen to Chelsea for 40m. We are just as bad at selling players than we are buying, maybe worse. I cant see Bowen kicking up a stink to leave, and Id be saying to Summerville, get us back up. Unless a team in Europe/Champions League comes in for 40-50m, then fair enough.
