So now it is all done, unless any free agents come up, my view, FWIW, is we still need to look at how we go about these windows as we missed a number of targets and press and insiders at least suggest there were a few U-Turns, a few chasing players who they were clear weren't coming. We are now trying to gel players who had no pre-season with us and that needs to improve. With a whole rebuild to do it can't all be allowed to happen once we have kicked off. Overall though a very good window, would have been nice to get another DM, RB and will see how the LB plays out. But we are in better shape now than last season and have hopefully kept ahead of those that were also chasing European spots - time will tell though. Now we need to do as promised and tie down Bowen with a new deal, sort out Soucek so he is the potato salad king we all saw and loved a year or more ago, and hopefully convince Rice we are on the right path and get him to agree an extension. Too much to ask for? Maybe but this squad and two or three more in the next windows I would be confident we could compete at least on our day with anyone. Well maybe that City side apart.
