More talk about us going back in for Gallagher. Good, if true.

Alvarez/Gallagher/Paqueta

Great balance of energy, power and guile.

That is my dream, realistic, midfield three come the close of the window.

If we can follow Edson Alvarez up with Gallagher, I think that is the best balance of energy, power, guile, technique and aggression we will get.

We need a centre back to cover the loss of Craig Dawson in January. someone that can be rotated with Zouma and Aguerd who both pick up knocks. Personally, I'd be all over the £15 million it'd supposedly take for Taylor Harwood-Bellis from Manchester City.

Let Ben Johnson go and bring in Max Aarons. Maybe offer Norwich Ben Johnson and a little cash?

Let Cresswell go to Wolves or Nottingham Forest and bring in a left back in the shape of Ian Maatsen or Adrien Truffert. If someone with more experience but still with his prime years ahead of him is the preference then Kieran Tierney, although I feel like he has been injured a lot?

Then sign Armando Broja and / or Folarin Balogun and / or Elye Wahi up top and that's a perfect window in my eyes.

It won't happen though.

Scammacca, Lanzini, Vlasic, Cresswell, Rice. Apart from Rice the rest were dead wood and wanted out of West Ham. Cresswell and Lanzini have been great servants but their legs had gone. Scammavva and Vlasic did not pull up any trees, therefore, getting them out is good business. Replacing with Alvarez, and one of Gallagher, Ward-Prowse or McTominay would improve the starting 11. We need a forward. I am surprised we have not gone for Nketiah or Balogan. I have mentioned Ivan Toney, but the club will want a now option. I believe in 23 days we could all be saying 'it was a slow start, but we have brought well.' Time will tell. I'll see how we play at Bournemouth over the weekend.
