Morning all, I know we've had a discussion on Potter and I still stand by my decision on giving him time, but I can't understand why he didn't start with a striker when there were two on the bench, and I've read that he didn't bench Fullkrug because of what he said after the Southampton game, some of the team selections have been a bit questionable I must admit ?

{Ed001's Note - Fullkrug is not fit enough to start, he did say that in a pre-match interview.}

Ed, he had 80mins against Southampton and the second half against Brighton, I think he could’ve done an hour yesterday then bring him off ?

I can’t see it being for what he said as he really stood up for GP (well that’s the way I saw it) and I think he needs all the support he can get.
I don’t think you will find much disagreement with wanting Fulkrug to start and bring him off at 60 or 80 minutes and maybe bring on Ferguson who is young and has fresh legs.

Ferguson couldn’t play yesterday as his on loan from Brighton but for the rest of the season I agree, there’s no point in getting Ferguson on loan and not playing him.

The only real reason I can think of for Potter staying and getting a full preseason is that I have no faith that sullivan is capable of getting someone better.

With all the players that are looking for an exit, the strikers all over 30 and injury prone, the massive hole in our midfield that hasn't been addressed since Rice left, on top of that we have Sullivan over seeing transfers. Very worrying times but maybe we'll get lucky in the transfer window we'll definitely need it.

He wants to shoe horn Bowen into the side, typically potter plays with wing backs not wingers so Potters preferred tactics mean they can't accommodate Bowen as there is no winger position, but as we have seen Bowen is not a striker
