So it looks increasingly likely that on me Edson will be coming our way.

Edson Alvarez as a defensive midfielder that sits in front of the back four and breaks up play, would be a superb addition in my opinion.

My dream midfield three come the end of the transfer window would be

DM - Edson Alvarez
CM - Conor Gallagher
CM/AM - Lucas Paqueta

With Thomas Soucek, Pablo Fornals and Flynn Downes able to provide cover.

Had a look on YouTube - looks a real warrior to me: tough in the tackle, drives forward, can spray it wide, big threat at corners. Not sure about pace, but he reads the game well.

i would have McTomanay, i think he is underrated and would work well with Alvarez and Pacqueta

I’d prefer Fofana, but I can’t see it happening. McTominay is over-valued at £40m.

I would take McTominay as well Hamar. I agree, I think a midfield three of Alvarez, McTominay and Paqueta would be well balanced and physical but my preference would be Gallagher from Chelsea of Youssouf Fofana from Monaco. I think there would be more altheticism and dynamism in the midfield with one of those two, certainly they'd be more creativity.

If Moyes is to stay as manager, I can't see Fofana signing either Mmpr.

I can see the board and probably Steidten as well, being more accommodating towards Moyes and compromising with a deal for McTominay or Gallagher. both would give Moyes the home grown, Premier League experienced midfielder that Moyes seems to want.

I can however see Fofana being targeted again if Moyes decides to go.

I hope he goes, fofana with Paqueta and Alvarez would make a nice midfield combination for years to come

The only reason MCTOMINAY played quite regularly for UTD was because they were shocking and played the worst football I've ever seen from a UTD team, I'm 53 so have seen quite a bit of them and when he played they were in a transitional stage and had to bring fresh faces in, and that's not a coincidence that now they've improved he hasn't been playing as regular that's my views on him avoid like the plague.⚒⚒⚒
