I am still in shock why we turned down nearly £15 mill for AYEW I personally I don't think he's worth halve that amount and i'm being serious the only thing he's good at is in and around the six yard box he's lethal but he's always played as a winger, he's paceless and ain't a winger if I played him i'd tell him stick on tge last defender and when we are attacking just stay in the box. Really excited about the new premier league season!
Just wondered if anyone else had noticed the amount of teams playing 3 centre backs in the world cup and wondered if this could be a way to go for the hammers?
Team would be something like:
Adrian
Tomkins Collins Reid
Demel Kouyate Downing
Noble Morrison
Zarate Carroll
Downing played left back at Liverpool and was ok so in theory would be better at wing back!
1.) I agree, 3 centre backs and 2 flying full backs seems to be the way the World Cup is going. Can we learn somehting from this?? I doubt it
2.) Downing played as a wing back at liverpool saw a post which says downing has cut short his holiday and is in talks with everton over 7mill move.

Players from the Saudi Arabian league are playing in the World Cup. don't make them good enough for West Ham. Fonte got totally ruined by Costa tonight. a sight we saw many times in the Claret and Blue.

It is fine saying we shouldn't sell Arnautovic.
However, if he wants to go then what should the club do? Hold onto him and risk him becoming upset and downing tools like Payet did.
We could have got £50-60 million for Payet in the summer then by the time January rolled around he went for £25 million.
The players have the power these days so to use the Arnautovic situation to try and throw more shade on the board is not actually realising where the power now lies in the majority of football transfers.
