30M spent in defence, and the good news is Ginger Pele is back?

Hampshire Hammer

Somebody must have read my my post last week when someone asked if Ginge had got a championship or league 1 club and I said I'd have him back sat Stratford any time

Didn't realise he had been training with us all summer remember there is only 1 Ginger Pele. COYI!

2.) 24 Aug 2018 01:31:14
Don’t think he trained all summer and not sure he is back? He asked to train while he looked for a club recently and MP agreed to let him - at least that is what I read.

For me Jack Wiltshire is nobles natural replacement. ( nobles is good for 30mins max, when closing a game out)

Alongside Wiltshire, we need some energy and tackling ( Obiang, Rice, Zabba) its does really matter, but you can't play two of them like we did today!

Cresswell needs to come into the back 4, and get masuaku up the pitch.

Some one needs to sit Anderson down, and tell him he needs to start working for the team, because he has 40M pound drop written all over him!

Surely any manager, moyes or otherwise is going to need a fighting fund to do busness in the transfer market.

(Personally i would stick with him)

But I have just read that the club earnt 118m last season (without gate funds)

Does anyone know what level of debt we now have?

With the studuim move, and paying off a lot of loans last year, we should be in failrly good shape, shouldn't we?

How much could our transfer kitty be?

I believe around 60m Hampshire plus money from sales .

2.) 16 May 2018 20:14:40

If Moyes brings fitness and organisation, then I think our squad is good enough to be top 8.

Its time for some Scottish Bootcamp, to knock them into shape!

Perhaps he will drop noble, put Kayate and Obiang in our midfield, and bring back one of Europe's most promising defenders back from Germany in Reece Oxford?

We also have one of Europe's most promising wingers in Quinna, PSG want him! ( let's get them in the squad)

Luv Slav, but his best season was post big Sams, trading methods, we have dropped off from there.

Tactically, you can't keep attacking, if you can't cover the ground.

Lots of hard work required! COYIs.

I really think our fitness levels need working on massively we seem to get injury after injury and they can't all be down to bad luck. COYI.

I am not surprised that we didn't have any last minute signing.
It is obvious that romance of a former hammer, being our manager is wearing off with everyone, after the worst performance in the shirt I have every seen at Newcastle.
Not being funny, but why would you back Bilic again after bringing in, Snodgrass and fonte in the last window, and watching them deteriorate under his management. (Both are internationals, but seem to lose their way very quickly)
It's a massive disappointment that Slav does not seem to be up to the job, but unfortunately passion can only take you so far, ( which I am sure he has for the club) but being organised (particularly in defence), playing people in the right position, and being man enough to drop your captain when under performing will get us so much further.

I think we it will be a matter of time, certainly before x-mas, that we will have a new manager, and the funds will then be made available under some new direction.

(Gutted for Slav- COYIs)

Agreed. He has gone as far as he can and maybe the board are hoping he will walk away. We need strong character like Marco bielsa, rafa, Harry.

I used to love the bald assassin “Pop Robson” he was basically a poor mans Alan Shearer. (104 goals for the IRONs) but cost about 90 grand on old money.

Mike, what about midfield tacklers in the premier league?

Wanyama, Drinkwater, others?

What do you think?

MP might not want him to go, and could be just showing him the level of team mates he will have from here on in.
Kouyate can go, Obs to stay in my opinion COYIs.

Well said. We can’t just cave in.

Sad that it’s all about money.

Let’s go and get more competition (Maxi)

And then incentivise them both.

If he want more dough, earn it, like the rest of us.

I definitely think that Tripp is playing some part in this.
His pure expertise in finance, and access to hedge funds, for me is giving the club more horsepower.
(Cheap money, structured payback)
Being successful on the pitch, also leads to better sponsors on a global platform. ( our club is one of the best supported in the world, without much success, so the potential is massive) COYIs.

I would have him back on a free, it was only Sham Dice doing one of his dodgey deals, trying to get him a new agent, and failed and then sent him packing.
