Lets not get too carried away, so far it is 2 loan signings if we manage to get Hernandez Arnatovic and the Balde deals over the line that will show some real intent. Then it might be time to eat a bit of humble pie.

Yes, ssn have said he has said his farewells at Stoke training ground ahead of his move its worth 24 mill. so we got hart looks like arnoutovic in next few days and then hopefully Hernandez by end of week and if we do pull of the keita balde deal then it shows real intent and we should have a big season.

We will only have Hart for one season in my opinion because if he has a blinding season for us we will be priced out of a permanent deal because city will want 35 million and he ain't worth that I'd be very sceptical about Hart this season but we live in hope .

I see Reece Oxford is getting shipped out on loan again next season so frustrating this lad has been good enough for the step up for over a season now and keeps getting ignored I am amazed they managed to get him signed up to be honest because he must of had other offers I know Man U showed an interest.

Like most of you I would have hoped he would have seen more action by now, at the same time I think Burke is ahead of him and a season on loan might be the best option. With no Europa league to worry about, I hope they ship out the dead wood and go for quality over quantity this time. If we get injuries then blood the youngsters, not load up the squad with players who moan and cause issues if they end up being a squad player. We're not as attractive an option as last season so I think we might have to stomach a few older, high wage options that could take us forward short term and put us on a level where the exciting signings would be more realistic.

It's amazing to think that it is nearly 2 years since he played out of his skin against Arsenal on the opening day of the season. How will any of our young players improve if they are not given a chance. I think it's just an unfortunate side effect of playing awful as we cannot allow our youngsters to try to shine because we desperately need the points and can't take the risk. Freddie Sears springs to mind, looked like a great talent but didn't get a good run and where is he now? I don't see how the young players can be any worse than the shower that we have seen this season. I like Bilic and I really want him to be a success but sometimes wonder if we can continue to back him for sentiment reasons only. If he was not an ex player he would of been sacked in December. Play the youngsters because they are ready is my opinion before they become Frustrated and want to leave.

Reece Burke is better than oxford, ox ford played well against arsenal but got beasted against lukaku and was terrible against the romainan part timers he needs game time a year on loan would do him the world of good as long as it's to the right team look how much cullen and Burke have come on.

Yeah I do also like Burke Robbo think he's quality, I feel they could definitely become top quality regular top flight players so maybe if we are to loan them we should be offering them to the newly promoted clubs so they can get the experience required to be able to play for our great club.

This is a choke what a nightmare debut from FONTE just shows you how far away we are from the top teams not singling out one player but NOBLE is not good enough he has no pace, strength, engine or ability to perform at top level for ninety minutes I really think we'd be a better teamwithout him I know he's a trier and West ham through and through but it's time now to get rid

VAR is a joke 9 mins to disallow a clear and obvious error. Don't make me laugh it's sucking the life out the game. The referee has made a decision in a minute what VAR couldn't in eight minutes. Total nonsense.

Yup its killing the game and unfortunately it's now not being used for the purpose intended. Ref decision first and foremost should be what counts and only if he is unsure should it be reviewed. We've now got to the stage where every goal scored is scrutinised in order to wipe it out?

The decision that annoyed me the most was the ref blowing for a foul on the keeper as Kudus took his shot on the edge of the box. Var if used correctly would not have ruled that out.
The Alvarez card was also a joke, then he bottled the second yellow for Zaniola. Really poor officiating again.

The problem with VAR of course is that its still down to Human Interpretation, so what be seen as no goal by one ref is seen by a goal by another ref mand therefore, although VAR performs the same, the ref's all view the offences differently so its a pointless piece of kit! And slowly its killing the game. We go to be entertained and to see goals scored. VAR does exactly the opposite and disallows goals. And as for this "REF is going over to have another look" mallarky? Every single time he changes his mind, unless of course its Liverpool, Man city or Man Utd and they get far too mnay decisions in their favour

I despair of the quality of modern referees. Yesterday Mr Gillette lost the game early von by not blowing for obvious fouls and I notice neither MOTD or Sky showed Anthonio being fouled as he got away from his own half, not even a whistle let alone a booking.
VAR as a technology is fine it's the idiots (My Opinion) using it that is wrong Mr Webb could bring in a simple time rule saying if you can't decide in 90 seconds than it stays with the on field referee decision might wake some of them up - yesterday was a farce

This is my main gripe with the Phillips loan. Personal feelings aside that I don't rate him, I just don't see why 29 days into a window he is our only signing.
If we had already filled much more urgent positions and he had come a available last knockings I might of seen the sense.
This whole window just stinks of Moyes still having the major say on incomings and steidten banging his head against the wall. I suspect it will all come to a head at the end of the season and we will see who eventually wins out.
