John McGinn a player we were linked to under Moyes turned out pretty good and had a very good season in the championship.

Can see why Moyes wanted him if he makes the step up to the prem we could have missed a bargain.

I'd give him a chance at west ham wonder if other clubs are interested? Maybe snodgrass going in the other direction would help us. Doubt we are interested anyway.

Snodgrass going in the other direction?

Iron so what your saying, is for a player who in my opinion gave it his all and played for the shirt last season and was pretty much a regular player and done really well, is to do a swap deal for someone that David ( i'm so great Westham are lucky to have me ) Moyes wanted and we take the risk of losing what we have in Snodgrass, sorry mate I totally disagree.

Yes that's essentially what I'm saying but I couldn't give a sh*t about what Moyes said that shouldn't really factor in if we are interested in the player that wasnt the point I was making so forget that.

My thinking is McGinn is a lot younger and also plays in the centre which is his natural position where snodgrass has been playing due to us being short there and that there is better options out wide (younger more pacey wingers)

2 of the main reasons snodgrass has played so much for us is his work rate and delivery. McGinn is also known for his work rate that you can't fault and he also has very good delivery like snodgrass also unlike
snod he's actually a proper CM better defensively, better at holding on to the ball, dictating play and starting attacks.

I doubt he is available but if he was I'd imagine there would be a fair amount of interest given how good he was in championship and if snodgrass was to go in the other direction to sweeten the deal and put us ahead of others would I do it? Yes.

Nothing against snodgrass he has a great relationship with the fans and players there at villa he doesn't have much resale value either.

All in all this is very hypothetical stuff. We don't seem to be even looking at him.

There is no chance in Snodgrass leaving. He appears to be one of Pellegrini’s faves.

Of course there is a chance. he's a good utility man which was very handy with all our injuries but when everyone is fit he's unlikely to start. If we do strengthen in the summer the way we would like too, that likely means less game time for him. Perhaps an offer with more regular playing time and a longer contract may be appealing or maybe he's happy playing abit less I don't know.

Forget about snodgrass though with or without him in our squad next season. John McGinn is a good player and if he can continue to impress moving into the premiership next season we might have missed an absolute bargain is what I'm saying. One to watch I think.

Pellegrini needs to address our forward options more than anything. Carroll going, Chica too expensive, Perez not quite good enough, Arnie too petulant. Throw the dice and start again. Defensively we appear fine, Midfield we hold a plethora of talent - although weak regarding strength. The only midfield players who appear to not suffer bad injuries are Noble, Snods and Rice.

Of course with the speculation around the strikers leaving we are going to have to bring new ones in.

I think wesley moares we have been linked to could be useful and available at a fair price. Looking forward to it anyway could be an interesting window with us needing a couple of strikers.

I thought the defensive side of things for large parts of the season we were leaky.

I can see Pellegrini wanting to strengthen the whole spine of the time. Especially in the centre of the park where it looks like Fernandes and obiang are going and Nobles getting on abit although he is still quality for me.

I agree regarding the spine. I feel we need a quality partner with Rice and Noble.

Cannot believe people rave about SNODGRASS he's average at best and this is exactly why we will never challenge FFA with these standard of players at our club fact so he should f------G work hard for what they earn. COYI.
