Warrington I understand the point you are making but I stick to my point that quality is better than quantity. With so many bids and supposed interest being posted it becomes a bit of a nonsense to actually get enthusiastic about any of them and sort the realistic from the dross.

I would also say that some of the posts in the past, as the one you refer to, are surely confidential info and can harm our wonderful club if posted. I recall Martin O'Neill pulling out of being our manager a few years ago because the info was prematurely in the press. And please no replies about you not wanting O'Neill as my point is one of confidentiality not suitability.

Morning Syd

Fair point but the O Neil situation was a little different, I think we had a manager already ( was it Grant? ) and would imagine he thought it us was unprofessional and not fair on the current manager at the time which rightly so, Bilic had gone and we had a vacancy. but agreed we should be airing our dirty washing behind close doors and not in public.

Concerning the point of fruitless speculation in posting with transfers, if we were to wait until a an incoming player has a medical booked and all he has to do is pass and sign in my opinion this site would come to a halt,

I personally love the speculation and admittedly sometimes have to go to Wiki to find out who a player is were after, that's the beauty of speculation, but take your point.

We have a fantastic group with us all on here, the majority of us do not know each other but we come together for a common cause, that's why its such a shame Mike and Ed 002 have had a slight disagreement as it was a fantastic balance, Mike would say have a little more license in his reporting where as Ed 002 would be the straight man so to speak ( no disrespect Ed 002) and report more to the factual point, I personally think it was perfect for on here, but there you go

Cheers Syd have a good day.

spot on warrrington, liked the balance. Sometimes Ironmike got a scoop and when he was off the ball Ed002 (who I assume is an agent given his knowledge) stepped in. Its a shame Ironmike has gone really.

Ed002 is actually David Gold :) well perhaps not but would be interesting to know what people do but I guess might be hard in some cases for them to say.

To me, Warrington has been the voice of reason on this matter. Ironmike posts and speculation didn’t always hear fruit it always hold water, but were they interesting and give us something to think about, enthuse about and sometimes dream about? 😂😂.

I can only speak for me and made what is a absolute dire time of my life (between seasons end and a new seasons beginning) quite tolerable. I don’t like to not speak football, not speculate about who we may and may not sign, not share and read opinions on what we have heard and who we wish we could buy or sell.

The latest soap opera / minor storm was started by two people with differing points of view and in “my opinion” a poorly crafted message which seemed both slight venomous and antagonistic. HOWEVER, I believe although Ironmike may not be posting, he still reads the posts (perhaps more out of curiosity than need) .
We could also be reading more into this than there is. Maybe Mikes on his hols somewhere warm while we freeze over here. 😂😂

Ironmike - come back and start posting (for the benefit of us saddos who read this site everyday) . We already know that all of your posts don’t necessarily hold water and those that do are sometimes held in. A leaking bucket. We also know that sometime you might get some of your rumours off of Twitter, but even your looking on Twitter is a service to us readers because some of us don’t have the time to trawl twitter and in my case, I don’t even go onto twitter.
