It's not beyond believable that Arnie' s brother concocted the China move to get a new deal with a pay rise. GandS not being stupid have called his bluff and gone out and put there name to various and quite frankly some pie in the sky replacements to call his bluff. What I am hearing Arnie might now be regretting this move and is apparently buckling down and being a model professional.

Wouldn’t be shocked. As someone pointed out Shanghai SIPG haven’t shifted anyone yet and would need to under Chinese Super League rules to get him in. Must be hard though to let people in the dressing room know you want to leave and then back down.

The other thing we need to be careful of is after Payet if Arnie goes as soon as he asks other players will start to believe all they have to do is say the word. Anderson next January? Rice in summer? Will become difficult if we cave every time.
