Its all still a working progress with MP in my opinion, again iffy at the back on corners we did miss the General but we need to be able to cope as he will not play every game in a season.

Once again Arnie came to the rescue but can't help thinking that he does deflect others from being a little more creative as we showed when he was injured,

Chelsea are crying out for a Arnie player and if a £60m bid came in would WH baulk at that?, bearing in mind we scored plenty of goals when he was injured.

Id take £30m plus Loftus Cheek any day, the best we can hope for this season is 7th but realistically we will prob finish 9th - 12th and if all reports are correct Arnie will leave in the summer so why not try get in Loftus Cheek as a part deal with Arnie if Chelsea were interested, and start to build now

As I said many times this is a free season for MP, to get his style of play in and personal, next season I do expect to be challenging for Europe as that should be realistic goal with the funds available to him.

Hi Warrington,

Happy New Year mate! I think your comments make total sense and are far from madness. There is no doubt that Arnie is a great player but fotball is a strange game and sometimes players like him and Payet supress the talents of others. Whilst he was out injured Anderson flourished and finding the back of the net was not exactly difficult for us as a team.

I’d also take £30m and Loftus-Cheek if the deal could be made. I live in Cheshire surrounded by Stoke fans and a lot of them say that once Arnie’s heads turned it stays turned.

Dabbler/ Warrington, yes I totally agree with your comments on Arnie👍 I have said previously when I read his brother/ agent comments about he should not be playing for a club in the relegation zone and 29 was a good age to move on (obviously about £££) etc etc, that I will now be glad to see the back of him! Whilst he was injured others seem to flourish without him there, it was as if they were playing without fear, instead of having to let Arnie dictate play. IMO he is now too big for his boots, he thinks he is bigger than the club! Yes he was probably the one whose goals kept us in the Premiership, but it’s also about the team, no player is indispensable!

Have said the same myself. If he wants to go and we can get a big fee, let him go. Not sure why Chelsea would take him having signed Pusilic for end of season.
I agree with the comments, reckon he has one big move left and don't blame him if he goes, has been professional about it (unlike the snake) and did keep us up, good luck to him.

Why would we get LC plus 30? Chelsea would want at least 60 for him in today's market.

In all honesty. I would just do a straight swap. Get rid of Carroll and go for a new younger striker.

I'd be staggered if any of the top sides would pay anything close too what is being milled around the most I can see anybody paying Is 25 million at the most and if he wants guaranteed 1st team football then he needs to stay put but if he wants more money and sit on the bench and pick up medals and the odd trophy here and there then Chelsea or UTD are his club as LIVERPOOL AND CITY are a million miles away from needing him but he strikes me as a player that wouldn't be happy sitting on the bench but we will see if he's still at west ham come the summer I'd be truly amazed and he might just use today kickstart his move. COYI.
