THIS is DISTURBING, I thought we might do a little better than this. IRONMIKE.

Pep might decide to play the second half with just 5 players, on our performance they would still win!

Mike? For a club that’s spent £100m it’s an effing disgrace to be steamrollered like this, we knew we would get beaten but to capitulate so easily is a disgrace👎.

Whilst there is no question that Man City are on a different planet to us, WE were ready to give up after 20 minutes Sorry that’s not good enough, for any prem team, we have some crappy players too many, where do you start probably Masuaku. He’s pants and must go. IRONMIKE.

Masuaku, Antonio, Carroll, Hernandez, Perez, to name just a few who can go, as for incomings, who knows?

Massive changes needed to make us a competitive side. IRONMIKE.

It just doesn't look like we've spent £100m?

We may well of spent 100 million, however
only Balbuena Diop Fabianski and Anderson
we’re new starting players from last season
actually totalling about 70 million.
Even spending 100 million gets you very little
nowadays, city spend that on a full back almost.
I actually thought there were glimpses of us
progressing in the way Pellegrini wants us to
play.
We shot ourselves in the foot by not having
a true striker and a true left back.

The lack of drive and desire was sad , looked like a team playing there idols and scared to put a hard challenge in, worried about hurting them,? Not a proud display in the least, plus strange substitutions.

Arp3768, I think £100m is a lot of money, these are clubs that spent less than us pre season, Everton £88.5m, ManU £81.7, Arsenal £70.6, Spurs £000, Palace £9.5m, Burnley £18.5m, Newcastle £22.5, Watford £24m, Cardiff £29m, Brighton £31.3m, Bournemouth £47.2m! So I don’t think we have been underspenders, so I don’t think we can use that as an excuse?

We had a large spend for a single window, but 100m is not big money for an entire squad overhaul.

That's the difference. Thought we played well today, created chances, but defended poorly in the first half (Masuaku the worst culprit) .

Antonio and Arnautovic did what they do well well, and did what they do badly as per as well.

Sadly we lack a true high quality goalscorer (Arnie is a very high quality forward but his finishing is average) and Antonio has enough about his game to get in good positions but lacks quality to capitalise.

We're a work in progress but at least worth watching again. This is the West Ham way really. having a go, olaying some decent stuff, but ultimately not being at the same level as the big sides.

4-0 wasn't a true reflection of the game we created a lot more chances than most against them. Even pep said they were lucky at times that and some poor defending from masuaku.

We came very close to scoring a few times that game but ultimately we weren't clinical enough and poor positioning from masuaku again let us down the kid just doesn't seem to learn or have that instinct to just get the right side of a player really can't be gifting these opportunities might get away with it against lesser teams but not man city and the last thing we want to do is gift goals to teams we should be getting something from.
