Is anyone else as confused as me? We made such a song and dance about bringing in youth last season and now we are loaning them all out? I don't understand what's going on? Martinez went to Oxford! Samuelson is god knows where! We brought Fletcher in from Manchester United last summer and now he's going to Leeds. Reece Oxford who was being fought over between Manchester United and Citeh and he is being loaned to Forest or Rangers? WTF is going on and who is running this team! And to top it off, BILLIC is impressed with Calleri. Its taken all this season for Bilic to sudeenly state he is impressed with him but he is in two minds over Hogan? WTF is he smoking? We all saw Calleri during Europa League and I wasn't impressed! HELP someone

Hi Phil

It does seem strange that all the youngsters are being fed out on loan, my only conclusion would to be giving them game time and playing on a regular bases to maybe start to incorporate them for next season, saying that playing in the lower leagues is not a base to start in the prem, so i'm as confused as you.

My surprise is Martinez as I would have thought he may have been given a chance to show what he can do in the first team like Fletcher I do not think Fletcher has been given a fair crack to see what he can do but obviously its Slav choice, and IMO Hogan and Fletcher could be at the same level so it begs the question why were are willing to pay £13m, as if he flops I really don't think we would get that back in a resale, but again we need to trust Slav on this one.

I think the rest of the day and tomorrow will be interesting to see what pops up, we do need a RB and a striker, I think Hogan will come in ( although I just read Palace have asked to speak to him) and a RB, but that could be our business done. I don't expect anything else other than maybe 2 more coming in. Still after tomorrow we can see what we have and get this bloody window out of the way,

Hi Warrington. I'm hearing that Sam Allardyce is very interested in Scott Hogan and has approached Brentford to have discussions!

{Ed002's Note - They can do that if they wish.}

Why is it strange to send youngsters who need regular game time out on loan? There not going to play regularly here yet so good for them to get experience surely. If you think there going to walk straight into our first team because they've played well or scored goals for the u21s then your dreaming. The step up is massive and if they struggle could damage there confidence. The best thing is to take a smaller step up in quality playing regularly at team lower down the leagues

I agree especially with fonte, Reid and Collins for example. Assuming oxford is below these three on the list surely it makes sense for him to play in a the championship and get some good game time as opposed to playing for our kids team?
