Although, news emerges that Celtic are very interested in MOYES and he is the No 1 preference so this may not yet be the end of the story

???????? One can only pray that he will go voluntarily as he’s obviously not going to be pushed by our weak board.

Better the devil you know, particularly one who has won a trophy.

All the more reason to prepare for next season with a manager who coaches attacking football. We all know the standard of Moyes’ coaching abilities in the Premiership.
And let’s get one thing straight - David Moyes didn’t win any trophy - West Ham United did.

David Moyes is the manager? Therefore, an integral part of the team. He is the man who put the team together. 'TinLegs', I am assuming you are a fan of West Ham? I have looked back at many of your comments - and very few are positive. Try to lighten up a little. Your positivity may spread!

Exactly; it’s a team effort, not achieved by Moyes alone.
Been a WHU supporter since 1963. I’m positive about things that go well, but critical of things that, in my opinion, are not. David Moyes is not the right man to take our club to the next level in the Premiership and his record appears to support that view. Moyes needs to go so we can move on. Some would say that is a positive view!

Moyes has won us a trophy, semi final in Europe, 6th and 7th. We can ask for no more. He has been an incredible success. George Graham and Jose over the years have played negative football but won trophies. Would you rather play good football, or play boring football and win? I'm fed up of the ridiculous fans who say play the 'West Ham way'. This way usually got us relegated every few years.
Many sides struggled this year: ourselves, Spurs, Chelsea, Liverpool. It's was a strange year due to the World cup. Moyes has my support totally. He is alongside Greenwood and Lyall. as a winner!

Well, there we'll have to differ. Moyes did not win that trophy.
I consider the domestic programme to be more important than a third tier European trophy, albeit the players deserve praise for winning it. Look at Moyes' record on the domestic front - 6th, 7th, and 14th. The same sort of results with Everton. The other Premiership teams are wise to his tactics now.
I'd rather play good, attacking football, and win. The players are capable of it, but Moyes puts the brake on them. I have never used the phrase "the West Ham way" as I don't believe in it I watched the Greenwood and Lyall teams play at Upton Park, and I can assure you Moyes does not compare. We'll never progress with Moyes who should have gone last November. I believe in West Ham Utd and I think we still would have won the ECL without him.

Look at Moyes record you say. Well 3 consecutive years in Europe, the first time the clubs history. The first trophy in over 40years, a European trophy at that ( diminish it if you like but it secures another season of European football and may even give us the ability to recruit the calibre of players everyone is calling for)
Honestly, I understand why everyone is down on the football we have played but some people really need to make some room to put their grievances aside and give Moyes some credit for what he has achieved, @ West Ham btw!
Personally I think it would have been the ideal time to bow out on a high but its hard to deny the guy the right to carry on.

Er, I did say look at Moyes' record on the domestic front. Anyway, it makes no difference. I still think Moyes should have gone last November and I can't accept that winning the Conference League makes any difference. As I said, I am of the opinion that we would have won that trophy, Moyes or no Moyes. The ECL is no European Champions League - we didn't play strong opposition really until the semi-finals. The lads did well, but I don't think that should give Moyes a free pass for next season.

Agree wholeheartedly with TinLegs. Domestically, Moyes failed to get the best out of the team/squad over 38 games not to mention the 2 cups.

The opposition in the Conference League over the course of the campaign was embarrassing and not reaching the final would've been nothing short of a complete failure for a side that are the 15th richest in world football.

The Conference League win has kept Moyes in the job but are we going to see him set up differently next season? Of course not. Yes, let's wait and see who comes in over the summer but I fear it could be another long, domestic season if Moyes remains in charge.

Didn't we only have 38pc possession in the cup final too? Some things need examination for sure.

What about getting on the front foot; make the mountains come to Mahomet by attacking the opposition from the off at the whistle.
