Got to ask how he will partner Rice if he plays out wide or up top?
He could be his table tennis doubles partner when they are away on the pre-season training camps.

I find it strange that some shoot down the likes of Hayden, who is English and has experience in the league, but get excited over some French lad we’ve never seen play and hasn’t had experience of the Prem.

One reason Fulham struggles last season even after spending was that they didn’t buy many players with Prem experience. Can we afford to have players get used to the league every year?

Give me Hayden all day long. Coaches are there to improve players and Pellegrini will do so.

Long term they see his future as a center mid and sometimes you have to take gambles on forign players, who could be potentially world class, Hayden wont.

I’d like to know where this opinion and knowledge comes from? We all pick out facts, statements and opinion to fit the agenda that suits us most but I find it strange it’s done with such regularity when it comes to football players.

And this isn’t a dig at you Irontodd. We all do it. I think it’s wise to take a punt on a youngster but when we need a midfield more than anything it would be better to sign him alongside someone with experience in the league. Hayden may not set the world alight but a season or three with him will allow any younger players to come through at leisure and develop naturally.

Hi bucky the reason fulham went down was they didn't buy well the only decent players they bought was MITROVIC and BABEL and to all those who said we should have signed MAWSON I for one said he ain't good enough his last 2 clubs have been relagated VIETTO wasn't given a chance but wasn't strong enough for our league imo and ANQUISSA £30 mill cor blimey my old China 28 mill too much imo they just didn't play as a team either. COYI.

I believe many of our fans would have been excited with some of Fulham’s acquisitions because they are rated highly or have potential or play for decent clubs in Europe. Just the step up to the prem is difficult. They bought far too many players not used to the league and that’s what caused the issue for me. Buying a couple of players is fine but 5 or 6 that don’t know the league is a joke.

Yeah Bucky like when they signed Nordveit would have been really excited If we signed him.

They did look like a really poor side, a side just chucked together and how they defended was appalling.

Hayden could turn out to be a solid signing though works hard gets stuck in. Just hard to say if his form was down to playing in an organised Rafa team that may have suited him more than how Pellegrini will play. Also the chance that in areas where he may be lacking technically compared to someone like Gomes could be improved upon playing the way Pellegrini wants to, who knows?

I don't think Hayden should be getting stick though he's rated up north and the reason for selling is that he wants to be down here for family.

I trust Pellegrini in making decisions on players but i'm not filled with confidence on how we have operated in the past with negotiations.

As for this claude maurice maybe eds can clarify if we are actually interested and how concrete it is?

I certainly like the thought of us spending decent money on young talent.
