We've had a bid of £18m turned down by Barcelona for Gomez, who want £25m. Just pay the £25m before Everton do 😤.

{Ed002's Note - You appreciate it is not quite as simple as that?}

I have read we are looking to raise our offer is there any truth in this Ed? Obviously competition for him will be tough but I think it would be a great signing if we can pull it off. What worries me is if he is thought to be a main target does that mean the likes of chicharito and arnautovic going to be staying?
I’d definitely want to replace chicharito if I had the chance.
Thanks.

{Ed002's Note - I really don't know but the player will want to understand what options are available to him - particularly those that may include Champions League football.}

We're interested in him all the time season tickets are up for renewal. After that, we'll be back to scouring the Turkish leagues and players from relegated clubs again.

Well said Billy😂🤣😂🤣 Not to many of us fooled by that rubbish talk! I read all this but completely dismiss it until we have done the business, ridiculous talk!

As always, we will just have to wait and see.

Having said that, how many genuinely thought we would actually sign Anderson when the rumours first surfaced?

Our board need to make a STAR signing. Something similar to when we brought Phil Parkes and broke the record. The players we are after are good players, but not the sort to entice other ‘names’ to join. The fans deserve it. They’ve been loyal through some pretty average times. If the board really wants to put us on the map then please do so.

Mark why I agree with you mate. It’s been almost 10 years since Gold and Sullivan took over. Although they cleared the club debts and got us on steady ground, I can’t help but feel that they have milked millions from the TV rights, gate takings, merchandise and selling our beloved Boleyn ground. Hearing that a wealthy Dubai based Billionaire was looking at taking over Newcastle for £350m filled me with envy. I wish we had a suitor of a similar ilk who would take ownership of our club and that Gold and Sullivan would walk away. At least then we could compete with proper investment and when we wanted a player, we didn’t fanny around with low balling on offers.

The answer to your question mark with this board is they talk high but aim low and before everybody jumps on the bandwagon and say we spent 100 million in last teaser window with outgoings it wasn't anywhere near that . COYI.
